No I can't, but I do know how to use a translator and piece together what something is supposed to say based on context when things are not correctly translated {as most online translators are too unreliable to depend on for precise translations}.
Even without a translator, given enough context I can usually figure out what someone is saying if I do not understand them. Case in point, I once knew a girl who thought she would show me up and confuse me by asking me a question in Spanish. Without hesitation, I answered it immediately as if she had not even spoken another language because I knew what she was likely asking me based on what we had been talking about just seconds before, along with observation of her body language. In the end, she was the confused one.
As for getting the name "out of your system", continued use of it will only prolong the amount of time that you will want to use it. It would be like trying to get over an addiction to heroine by taking morphine.

Sort of, I guess. Taken at face-value it looks like jibberish, but I remember you explaining katakana in the GGB thread a while back so I knew what to look for to understand it.

In Drow, kyorl has a few different meanings, one of them being "see", but it can also mean "guard" and usually if you are trying to translate it, it will tell you it means "guard" rather than "see". For this reason, it is often best to say "Usstan kampi'un" or "I understand" rather than "Usstan kyorl". It holds the same meaning, but what you're trying to say is more clear.

Makes sense.
In Japanese, "oppai" can mean milk, or breasts. If you translate "おっぱい" by itself, the wording is so vague that you get "milk". If you translate "ナイスおっぱい" ("naisu oppai"), however, you get "nice boobs".
Tho people usually call milk ミルク (miruku).
I think I recall something about oppai meaning breast milk.

I know also in Japanese that "shi" can mean "four" or "death". For this reason, the number 4 is considered unlucky and some people will say "yon" instead of "shi" to mean 4.

Japanese people actually use cute characters called "unchi-kun" (literally supposed to be coiled masses of poop) as lucky charms because the two words sound similar. Go figure.
Here in America, fake poop is made to look real, and intended to be placed in the worst possible place to find poop as a prank.

What some call "good luck" or "bad luck", I would call karma.... in which case, no charm is going to help you out there. Clovers are still visually appealing, though.
But speaking of unappealing good luck charms, I wonder how carrying around a rabbit's foot became a symbol of luck.

Good question. For that matter, WHY would you want to carry around a dead rabbit's foot?
I'm familiar with the concept of karma... a person's good or bad deeds basically add up and the worse the person's actions, the more likely the person is to meet with misfortune.
I do respect your beliefs but was not taught that a person's actions affect the outcomes of things to that extent...
Though I do believe in chance as as well as simply being in the right/wrong place at the right/wrong time. ((My reasons for believing that way are partially based in religion, but I don't preach if the person is not interested in listening. sweatdrop ))

Well, a lot of people have a general idea of karma due to the concept being widespread enough for them to have learned about it through some means, but you don't really get the full perspective of karma until learning more about it from Hinduism since that's where it originates from.
One thing I have noticed bothers some people about karma is that they believe it doesn't explain why bad things happen to good people... and it's true that the general idea that most people are aware of about it really does not explain this, but a more complete explanation of it does. When people think of a person's deeds, they think only of what has been accomplished in this lifetime, but karma is not limited to just one lifetime. So if in a previous life you did bad deeds, but in this life you have done good deeds, you may come upon misfortune due to bad deeds done in a previous life. Obviously, to believe in the full concept of karma in this manner, one would also have to believe in reincarnation, which not everyone is as willing to accept. This is probably why most people only have a general idea of karma.
I'm not sure how the idea of chance is based on religion, nor do I mind hearing an explanation if you're willing to give one. I may not be of the same religion as you and I may end up not agreeing with it, but that does not mean I do not have interest in learning your perspective. It helps figure out how someone's mind works to see what they believe in and why the believe in it.
