Karuto stood by as the kid practiced his jutsu. As this was a friendly spar he had no qualms about Shin trying out some new techniques while they fought. Once he was done practicing and Shin readied down into his stance, Karuto suddenly bolted straight upright "Oh, wait a second" In a blur of high speed movement, he would move to the nearby boombox that he had left here earlier and turn it on, immediately being assaulted by one of the songs on his mix that was currently loaded in.
Karuto returned to the fight just as quickly and dropped back down into his Hades Stance once again. Karuto watched as Shin slowly made his way towards him. He had studied the Hachimon and fought Masato enough to recongize the signs of the first gate being used.
Shin' first attack was a little too direct, and Karuto would be having none of that. His extensive training in counter attacks would be put to use here, albeit to a minor degree. Karuto would move his right hand to intercept the punch, instead of blocking it he would push the boy's wrist further to his (Shin's) left, causing the attack to miss Karuto entirely. At the same time Karuto would would sweep Shin's legs with one of his own, much longer and larger, legs. Shin would already be off balance by the parry Karuto had performed, an act which would have caused Shin to overextend himself and follow through with the punch to an unexpected degree, so, the sweep would likely be effective as the Hachimon provided no balance training.
If Shin fell to the ground, Karuto would immediately extend a hand to him to help him up "That was good being cautious, just make sure to keep your feet leveled and square. Blocking isn't the only way to counter an-attack" Once they were both on his feet Karuto would put some distance between them and resume his stance, awaiting the next attack

The one thing that would betray Shin, was his face. The moment that he saw a reaction from Karuto there would be a visible grin. His left hand had been a scout. It wasn't a full blown strike, it was to test the waters to see what would bite. And he had his bite.
Shin let his wrist get grabbed, but he wouldn't let it get pulled. He hadn't fully committed to the punch and he knew what was coming. Instead Shin himself would yank his hand back [B Rank Force, Upgraded to S. B Rank Formless Trained] in rebuttal and literally use his other leg to ram into Karuto's that went for the leg sweep with much more force, a compressed blast of water following suit. [S rank Formless Kick used alongside compression blast]

As Shin launched his attack he would be enveloped in a cloud of smoke. When Shin landed the attack he would find he had struck a large wood training dummy as the victim of his attack. Karuto would be standing against a pillar where the training dummy previously had been, grinning at Shin "Pretty sneaky sis, but remember, we're not trying to kill each other here. Anyways, my turn" Bringing his elbows in Karuto would throw a single punch out, even though he was standing almost twenty meters away from Shin.
As soon as he did so a bolt of lighting crackled into existence and immediately shot off towards Shin at very high speeds (B Rank Speed Plus 4). The bolt would streak towards Shin, aiming for his chest. Once the bolt was cast Karuto would assume his defensive Flowing Water stance to prepare for any counter attack. His attack was simple, but it wasn't intended to hurt Shin, just test him. It would be interesting to see what he made of an attack that punches Lightning

He's showing marked progress, Bast noted from where she was observing Tetsuhiko. Under the onslaught of his iron sand assault, several of the rodents met their untimely demise. Their numbers were rapidly dwindling, with each new death marked by a tiny puff of dirt. Even so, that was just making the remaining ones--now only four--even more motivated.
"Shift of tempo! Allegro!" she hollered over the lad's tune.
As soon as her words left her lips, the rodents changed their tact. One dove out of the rafters straight above the lad, its legs spread and paws ready to grip him. One started scampering around him in a wide circle while another started moving underground very quickly and erratically. The last one dug straight down and seemed to stop moving.
There was a bang as the door slammed open. In plodded a sleepy-looking redhead a few inches shorter than Bast, wearing a white and green dress, a lab coat, and a blindfold. She was ghastly pale without a single freckle. She walked straight through the building over to Bast and stood right next to her.
"Oh, uh, hi," Bast greeted the new arrival, sounding genuinely surprised. "What brings you here, Zyonu?"
"Belatedly happy birthday." Zyonu traced her finger through the air to carve out a seal in Chakra, then summoned a small wooden package.
Bast caught the crate and cracked it open. Inside was a small stack of leather-bound notebooks and a set of fancy pens. The woman inspected the gift, nodded approvingly, then tucked it under one arm.
"Thank you," she told her sister, wrapping one arm around the latter and giving her a squeeze. "You don't have any pressing matters to attend to, do you? Want to watch this kid chase some rodents?"
"Yes."
With that simple an answer, Zyonu summoned a piece of luggage with hundreds of tiny feet and a fanged mouth where it opened. The two of them sat on it to observe.
"Oi, Tetsu!" Bast yelled. "Give us a good show!"

__ Tetsuhiko felt emboldened as he saw the iron sand bullets destroy the rats one by one until only four remained.Under Bast's orders, Tetsuhiko shifted his tempo to Allegro as he continued to play his violin. When two of the rats attacked him directly they latched onto him and bit in, only to notice that his body had been substituted with a large amount of iron sand. Tetsuhiko then appeared where the iron sand was collected from on another section of the battlefield. The iron sand that the rats were now in contact with exploded outwards in several long spikes imbued with B-Rank chakra that would likely pierce and kill them. After this, Tetsuhiko increased his tempo even further as the rest of his iron sand was used for another drizzle barrage to finish off the other two that had burrowed in the ground. He knew that Bast wanted a good show so these series of attacks in addition to beautiful music certainly provided that. "Fighting is beauty, art,a grand performance!" He thought whimsically.
Bast watched on as Tetsuhiko finished off the remaining rodents with his trademark spectacular flair. When he was done, Bast gave a round of applause backed by her sister's own muted clapping.
"Bravo, concertmaster Tetsuhiko! Bravo!" she cheered. "Take a bow! Now, for your next--"
"If I may," Zyonu interrupted, "this particular modus operandi is peculiar."
Bast looked curiously at her sister, cocked an eyebrow, then nodded.
"Tetsu, this is my sister, Zyonu. You're taking requests." The ex-Kazekage spoke matter-of-factly, not leaving any room for objections.
"Perform to your limits. Entertain us. Your enemy is there. Destroy."
The redhead tapped her heel against the ground and a bolt of white light erupted from the ground a short distance from Tetsuhiko. It would rise up to about ten meters in height before splitting apart into myriad bent white spikes, forming a great white tree of Chakra that seemed to hum with energy.

__ Tetsuhiko bowed after his sublime performance in destroying the rats. "Thank you!Thank you! Splendid, I know!" There was nothing Tetsuhiko loved more than some notoriety. Once he stopped bowing he listened to Zyonu before she conjured a strange white tree of energy. "Most peculiar...indeed." He thought as he analyzed it with a turn of his head before refocusing on Zyonu and Bastet. "Ah, so you've requested the premium performance." The Iron Prince grinned devilishly as his iron sand was retrieved from the ground and swirled around him almost mythically. His body would disappear in the blackness temporarily before reappearing in a flicker as the iron sand continuously swirled. "Feast your eyes upon the...Iron Funeral Grand Performance of Nine Marionettes!" The performer stored his violin and jangled his tambourine wrists which caused nine figures to appear around him. Tetsuhiko disappeared once again inside of the giant iron tank of a puppet that was Caesar. "Caesar the king, Penthesilia the queen, Hermes and Castor the knights, Thanatos and Artemisia the pawns, Io and Isis the rooks, and Orpheus the bishop. This is the greatest collection of puppets you will ever see!"Tetsuhiko boasted as his voice boomed out metallically from within Caesar. Ten chakra threads attached to five of the nine puppets. Two threads were attached to Caesar, Penthesilia, Hermes, Castor, and Io each. This was a full display of nine metal marionettes and swirling iron sand that was a true sight to behold for the first act. Suddenly, eery pipe organ music began playing out of all of the puppets except for Caesar. This music served as very fine battle music. All of the puppets turned in unison to begin the second act of the play by launching an attack against the tree. All at once, every puppet performed the same attack in one action of firing out one hundred senbon each rapidly towards the tree.
The tree shook with the impact of the countless needles, then let out a soft tone and changed color to a white-green. Various fruit grew and dropped from the branches, unfolding on their way down into five brightly-colored, crow-sized green sprites. They dispersed and flew through the air, their movements punctuated by a sound of bells that pierced through the din of Tetsuhiko's performance. One by one, the fairies let off a beam of light aimed at one of the attacking puppets, totaling one attack against each puppet. The sounds produced by the tree and fairies gently followed the melody of Tetsu's own performance.

__ After the hundreds of senbon were loosed onto the tree it changed color and released several fairies throwing energy attacks at his puppets. In response, he attached one chakra thread to every puppet. After this, they all in unison moved in a single B-Rank puppet formless movement. This allowed them all to evade the attacks with ease. In response, Tetsuhiko controlled Io and commanded her bull chariot to open its mouth and release an A-Rank chakra charged cannonball directly at the trunk of the tree. If it hit then it would explode on impact for devastating results. "Take this!" He yelled as he exerted, even more, chakra into his iron sand and performed yet another iron sand drizzle.Instead of the powerful pellets raining on top of the tree this time it fired forward in order to hit every inch of the tree. "I have to give my best performance in order to impress sensei and make chuunin!" His resolve was increased as he felt some exhaustion begin to set in from all of these powerful attacks.
The tree was rocked by the impact as a huge section of its lower trunk was blown away. The tone it gave off became bone-shakingly deep as both the tree and the fairies turned a brilliant vermilion. Their song became muddled and feverish as the fairies darted around manically. Their movements came to a sudden and complete stop when they reached a certain set of points in the air, at which point they started to slowly drift in orbit around the puppets, firing thin crimson beams of crimson Chakra at each of them.
Meanwhile, Bast sat back and watched the display with a look on her faced that suggested she was impressed by the combination of the light show and the music.

__ At this point Tetsuhiko had eviscerated the tree with nearly a thousand needles, blown it up with a cannonball, and shot it with hundreds of iron sand clumps. The brilliant colors and music of the tree made Tetsuhiko regret having to destroy it. This was like being forced to eat a culinary masterpiece by consuming it and ruining its aesthetic. It was a conundrum for Tetsuhiko, he could only eat beautiful food,but he had to destroy it every time. It was very much the same in this case as well. The way the fairies danced through the air was brilliant for him to behold in its own glory. His wonder was interrupted when his puppets were all hit by the crimson blast. As a result, an A-Rank chakra shield layering went over Caesar in order to protect him as well as Tetsuhiko inside. Immediately, Caesar soared through the air as magnetism pulled him. The gracefully flying king of the Iron Funeral collection then fired out two beautiful orbs of lightning at the tree. Tetsuhiko's chakra was nearly completely spent after shooting the lightning at the tree so he hoped that this would be the grand finale.
The shining orbs of lightning would immerse into the tree, run out to the ends of the branches, then arc out to the fairies. Everything would give off a brilliant, shining white light before the tree splintered, shattered, and faded away. The fairies went with it, each bursting into snowflakes that vanished before hitting ground.
"Bravo! Bravo!" Bast whooped and cheered. Beside her, her sister clapped in a quiet and refined manner. "You look exhausted, maestro! Take a bow!"
Karuto's word seemed to strike a certain cord with Shin. The lightning strike was met with a tanking block, no real attempt to stop it being made (damaged reduced by one rank due to fortitude). When the sizzling stopped he deactivated the first gate, feeling the pain of it setting in to a minor degree. (Third Gate/Fourth Gate learned through the usage so far).
"Look Karuto was it. When it comes to fighting I'm still rather new on it, and I don't really enjoy it to as much of an extent as others might. That's why I pursued the eight gates, as if I am ever forced into a fight and there cant be negotiations I want the assurance that I can over power my opponent if necessary without having to hold back. I am much better suited when it comes to words and helping out others rather then just throwin fists" Shin said as he walked over to Karuto. The explanation was a bit odd but the best he could give. Fighting to Shin wasn't something he enjoyed doing, or even practicing to to much of a degree. It made spars rather difficult as he only really could go between absolute obliteration and not even trying.

__ When the tree was annhilated into oblivion Tetsuhiko felt relieved. He was beyond exhausted as he evacuated Caesar from his back. Once he shot out of there he took a bow before Lady Bastet and her sister. He panted heavily as he drearily walked over to them and sat down next to them. "I've...never...used...that much...chakra...before." He kept trying to catch his breath as his chakra was dangerously close to depletion. Tetsuhiko looked at Bast from his seated position before speaking. "Does this mean I pass?" He asked as soon as he was able to fully speak. He continued to sit down and rest as he felt his energy coming back to him. At this point his magnetic field went down and his iron sand fell to the ground and his puppets went still in addition to his chakra threads disappearing.
Karuto bolted straight up as his Lightning Bolt slammed into the kids chest "GAH YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DODGE IT!" He yelled out. Shin would have some minor burns to his chest as well as some difficulty with muscle control for a few minutes, but as his body was rather durable the effects shouldn't be too bad. Listening to his words, Karuto cocked his head to the side and listened, rubbing the stubble on his chin as the boy spoke "Yeah, I've noticed that." Shaking his head, he continued "That's not good. You need to be able to pace yourself in a fight and sometimes that requires you to use minimal force. In an extended engagement, you'd burn out quickly."
Clapping his hands together with a thunderous roar, Karuto approached Shin "I have decided. You shall become my disciple!" He smiled down at the boy as he clasped him on the shoulders "We shall push each other to master the art of Taijutsu to the highest degree. Do you accept, Shin?"
