"The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" Action/suspence.
This movie has been a hit/miss for many people and reviews. But for me this was a good movie. The annoying kis is grown up, a plus, they changed the actress who plays the mother, a minus, jet li is the villian, a plus, more stone soldiers then actuall mummys, a minus.
The story goes into a evil emperor. And how he build the great wall of china, dead bodies, is greed got the best of him. He and his army are turned into statues.
Eventually he goes, goes immortal, turned into a three headed dragon, epic fight scene, the villian dies, a somewhat funnyish ending. Thats it. Now i didnt go into full detail because i didnt want to spoil much, now i would have prefered if it was more mummys then a chinese dead army....but it was still a decent movie.
Fighting, good graphics, i mean a 3 headed dragon..thats good. But it would have been better even with the story it could have been better. 4/5

"Crank: High Voltage" Action/ whitty comedy
Rated R for a reason for this film.
If you have seen the first Crank ok if not go watch it.
Alright this picks up wight from the ending of the first movie, where the main character IS ALIVE. And he gets his heart taken out and replaced with a artificial art, where if it not constantly charged he will die.
So throughout this movie he has to chase this guy who has his heart while finding ways to keeping himself charged. Which include getting fried, having sex during a horse race. Rubbing up agenst a old woman. Getting a jumpstart from a car, etc...
Theres action, some explosion, blood, nudity, vary good. What i did like most about it is the comedy its not over done. Its quite random too which makes it soo good. But suring the credits you see the true ending. The ending before the credits The main character is on fire, with burning flesh, looking like a killer from a horror movie, and he grins and flicks everyone (you) off.
It has humor, action, blood, violence, languadge, nudity. And a mexican gang member cuts both of is nipples off. Now u must see the first movie to get many of the jokes and references. I left the movie energetic it was awesome. 5/5

"Next" Action/suspence
Nicholas Cage Plays Mr. Cadillac, a not to popular Vegas Magician, but he can see TWO MINUTES into the future..ohh. And hes been waiting for a particular woman for him to meet up with (the love interest). And now the plot.
The FBI wants him to find an explosive, the French/Russian villains wants him dead. So he stopped a shooting in a Vegas casino and gets chased throughout the casino, steals a car, and makes it to a friends place.
Now i must also say that without you knowing the scened play but when something bad happens..like..he dies..they make it seem like a vision so he doesnt make himself dead. Yeah its odd. So he meets the love interest. And excaped everyone looking for him.
They go to a place near the Grand Canyon where he sleeps with the woman. Then it cuts to his eye opened as if he just had a vision (REMEMBER THAT MOMENT) anyway the FBI catches Cadillacs lover says hes crazy and makes her try and drug him. She doesnt, tells him whats up, and puts on a show.
So he eludes everyone as he avoids a sniper, makes an explosion. Send logs all over the place...and rescues the FBI agent from death, and he gets caught....so much for that plan.
The Girl gets kidnapped and the FBI agent makes him watch the news to see where the bomb is...but he cant. Cause in the rules he explaines that the vidons only happen to him within 2 minuted into the future. Wow this FBI agenst needs to get her facts right and now act like a b***h. Well he sees his lover explode on t.v. (ohh) and then excaped the FBI to get her.
but hes wayyyyy to early as apparently this takes place a few hours ahead...(wait what happened to the 2 minute rule?) well he finds the detail in his vision to trace a van to the hideout of the bomb. They kill every french/russian gunner there (HURRAY i hated that one french woman...i just do shes a b***h)
And while looking Cadillac out of noware reveals a technique that HE DOESNT MENTION ANY OTHER TIME IN THE MOVIE which is when in a vision, he can multiply himself to see every angle of every possibility....to find the right option.
Well they find the girl every villain dies and a few other FBI agents.
But its not over as The bomb goes off and they was too late and everyone dies. OHH buut heres the twist oh and SPOILER ALERT....remember that scene where Cadillac in in bed and his eyes are open as if he just say a vision. i mentioned it earlier in the review, well anything in the movie after that WAS THE VISION!!! now im up for that being a twist but he even said HE CANT SEE MORE THEN 2 FREAKING MINUTS INTO THE FUTURE...so...that doesnt make sence!!!!
anyway me calles the FBI agent, makes a deal with her, and goes with her to help...so now we get to see what actually happens to the french/russian villains right?....NOPE ITS THE CREDITS...leaving aaaa sequal? nope nothing that i have heard of.
So it breaks its own rules, its ending didnt fit it right. And the characters could of used a bit more work. The action was good though could of used more action. All and all. It was good, not great but good, the concept, plot, the twist even was interesting, but following the 2-minute rule and the ending itself didnt do so good. its a 3/5 rent it.

"Return to Oz" Family?/errr fantasy?
Take oooonnnneeee looooong look at the cover for this movie and the title says "RETURN" to OZ so who are these people on the cover? some robot, jack skellingtons brother, some sled, a chicken, and some freaky looking little girl. The back cover explain that yes its the return to OZ, though things are different (ill say)
Disneys covering this film and shockingly isnt that accurate, the lion, tin man, and scarecrow look NOTHING like in the origional film, and Dorathy...shes younger then in the 1st film, what happened? They also show toto in the film but hes not the sidekick no its A CHICKEN...WHO TALKS.....-facepalms-
anyway the plot is Dorathy returns home the house is being built hurray, but as she tells her adventured noone believes her so what happens? she goes to a weird assylumish place to get Electroshock therapy. (......) Well she excaped with the help of this one girl who noone else sees. I swear i wasnt doing drugs or drank anything during this movie this was whats in it.
She goes into the river and floats back into Oz she wakes up with her talking chicken. Where did it come from? eh i dont know. So they have to be carefull not to step onto the sand thats surrounding Oz. WHYYYYYYY???? because if u touch it you instantly become sand.
Alright so she eats from a lunchpale tree and sees the yellow brick road which isnt much anymore, and sees OZ which isnt anything anymore. The plot of this was after the scarecrow became the leader things happened dealing with a queen, and this stone man. I know....
So when i first heard of this movie i was expecting the usuall, news about the other 2 witches, the old wizard, everything....and what was covered? Nothing id expect. So everyones made into stone...and Dorthy meets the following "these ADHD err i cant say the name but the french gymnists (souque -du- soul eh however ya spell it) looking men on wheels are all over the place, Now in the origional film people actually in r/l developed a fear of the Evil witch and the flying monkeys, in this movie these people feared these ADHD wheeled up crazies...more in part 2.

"The Marine" Action/more action
Alright, Now in many movies Wrestlers have become interesting actors, from Mr. Rowdy Piper to Hulk Hulgan, Andre the giant, The rock, etc... even in "The Longest Yard" Remake there was Stone Cold Steve Austin, Goldberg, and The Great Khali (i forgot if thats spelled right or not) This movie is from WWE and stars John Cena.
The movie is about a Marine who didnt follow a direct order. And had to be dismissed. He tried a security job but his temper got the best of him and he got fired. Now before i continue let me get you some of the casting. Theres John Cena, his love interest is Kate (Kelly Carlson, you would know her as the porn star in "n**/Tuck") The Villain is Robert Patrick so its a pretty decent cast.
Alright So John wife (John cenas character is John Triton) try to go on a getaway trip, buut The Villain who is a jewel thief and his gang. Needed a getaway car and Kate was in it, soo they took her. and John needs to go after them. Now i will say this the best joke in the movie is after shooting John whos driving a pretty good police car, they see hes alive. One of the henchmen said "Man, hes like The Terminator" And it shows a closeup of Robert Patricks eyes looking at the rearview mirror.
Its funny because Robert Patric played the Villain in "Terminator 2" so when he said that well it was clever. Now its a common action movie, explosions, guns, yay but lacked with blood and wounds, still fighting yes. And there are ALOOOTTT of explosions.
Now the only thing that i hated is what i call the "Con Air" Flaw. Which is (as in con air) its an action music but the music was bad. Evem for a movie made in. 2006 The music was bad it was basically the cheesey action music which isnt too bad but like when its John and his wife it played some sappy music, and it ruined it for me.
Bad music aside. Its got fighting, a nice plot, a bit common but not over used. Its humor was good. Casting was decent. Action, alot of, a chase scene. EXPLOSIONS...and yeah it was decent. WWE fan or not it was good. 4/5
