Kyo walked into the district area for living and walked around, kids playing in their treehouses, people tending their garden. Everything was normal as he could see. He ran off to the next area. After grabbing a small bucket of chocolate chip cookies from his mother.

Having taken on the mission to patrol the village, Suzume anticipated that this would be a little boring. It certainly was not as exciting as solving a murder and catching the bad guy. Yet that was certainly not every day life and Suzume had to do what the village required of her. The first stop on her patrol was the residential district. People went about their day and nothing out of the ordinary, so she and Cloud went on to the next area.

After receiving her next mission, Suzume and Cloud had headed for the residential district. Honestly, who would have thought that Kumo was so crime filled? The first case she stumbled upon and now this time she was sent to figure out a petty crime. Reaching a house, she could see the front looked to be okay but in the back with the garden, it was completely trashed. The crime she was to investigate obviously was vandalism, now she had to figure everything out.

First Suzume would question the woman that lived in the house. Her husband was already at work today and she had set their baby down for a nap. She had been quite fond of the garden and it looked like she had been crying. Now she was angry, blaming neighborhood kids or even a jealous neighbor for the vandalism. She gave plenty of suspects and Suzume kept them in mind for later. Although she was not sure who would be likely, if they were capable at all.

Next she asked the neighbors what they may have heard around the time this happened. The vandalism had happened quite early that morning. They all said that there was a loud racket but one did say he heard a weird noise. He could not quite place the type of noise, although he knew it was coming from the person responsible for the vandalism. Taking down the notes in a small notepad, Suzume returned to the actual scene of the crime to take a look around for evidence.

Going back to the garden, Suzume stepped carefully around so that she did not trample over anything important. Cloud also helped out, sniffing about the crime scene for anything important. He came upon some spit up grass and a tuft of white fur. Suzume spotted weird foot prints. A lot of them were covered up, probably by the woman of the house after seeing her garden. Yet this was all distinctive and the red head took down all of the evidence in her notes. She already had an idea of who was responsible.

Now that she took down the evidence in the notepad, Suzume asked Cloud to pick up the scent. The german shepherd did so easily and they were off after the culprit. They did not have to go too far it seemed, just down the street and into a back alley. The smell was none too pleasant but that was mainly because a trash can had been tipped over. Moving over to said trash can, Suzume and Cloud saw that there was a black and white mountain goat there, going through the trash and eating whatever it wanted.

Having wrangled the goat with some rope around it's neck, Suzume led it back to the house. When she arrived back and showed the culprit, the woman found it slightly hard to believe. Yet Suzume showed all of the evidence and her notes. Apparently from what she could gather, the goat got into the village and was hungry enough to go through the woman's garden. The woman was at least glad this was over so she agreed to the mission being over and the culprit found. The woman decided to keep the goat, thinking her husband could sell it or train it to be a pet.

With their mission done, Suzume and Cloud left the woman and the goat and headed off.

[1/4]Doki arrived at the elderly woman's house. She stood, where she was, in front of the quaint little building while her arms were stiff at her sides. Doki was contemplating on what to do when she would greet her. Heck, how to greet this elderly woman. The gennin was hardly nervous around new faces. But she had this thing in the back of her head about acting below the quota around old people. No, she knew some nice grannies as well as some mean old haggards. Oh well. We'll just have to see. She found herself alert as the door steadily opened.

"Hello, my name is Kodoki Doki, and I'm here to help you with your garden today, ma'am." She said this as clear and as steady as she could manage while her palms were being eaten by her fingertips. The elderly lady appeared to look well for her age, despite her trembling bits now and then.

She led the gennin to her right, where her garden was in view. Doki hardly paid attention to gardens before, or at least tried to since her one brother was a full out maniac about it. But looking at one tended with sincerity made her note this now. It was nice, with plants and all the sort. But she could see where the concern flopped about for this assignment. She gingerly nodded to the old woman and started pulling up her sleeves. She went to where one ugly row stood crookedly near a patch of tulips and perennials. She pulled at it. And fell straight on her butt. She was surprised at how easily it slipped. A couple of gloves dropped onto her lap and she looked up to see the old lady gingerly nodding. Doki thanked her and saw her client in a new wave of respect for being able to have done this in the past.

[2/4]Doki tugged at the stubborn brush of weeds as she tightened her grip that much further. She was glad the client wasn't the talkative type or else otherwise she would have ended up eating up her flowers. Sigh..I shouldn't let this take the best of me.. Doki thought, remembering that this mission had some value and that her decisions made her what she was. At long last, the plant pulled out, roots still attached underneath it's tiny island of grass and soil. She placed it over a small pile of it's kin and twisted her back around for a new patch.

"Gah! Buddah, give me strength!" Her breath quickly popped. Doki's face was becoming more redder than her make-up would fail to cover.

[3/4] Doki was nearly done with the weeds even though time was patient with her. She was pleased to know that the old lady was the same while sitting back to view her work every now and then. She wasn't rushing Doki, but she did send soft slips of sterness inbetween her scholarly advice on gardening. She was thankful for such a resourceful and cooperative client. Wiping the sweat from her brows, she started to position herself and started nipping the edge of her kunai around the defiling plants.

The next issue were the pests. Bugs. Enemies of the poor flowers. She remembered something about earwigs and their 'sticky dilemna'. Suddenly, Doki smiled to herself and hurried inside for something practical of that description. She came back out with a roll of tape and placed the non-sticky side around the plants. Some time after, she noticed a few sprawling specks of earwigs on the tape and successfully off of the flowers. She figured that there was a couple of more patches to go. At least with the change in soils, some of the bugs would shift out of their habitual eating grounds and shuffle on out.

[4/4]"Left a good job in the City~ Workin' for the man evry' night and day~" Time was her buddy, her pal, her smart reminder on how to spend it. Since she was doing a fairly pleasant chore, it might as well be worth it. The tune alternated between Doki and her client while her elbows and wrists set on for working. Her fingers scrunched around another dove of weeds and yanked. The ground was then fixed after shoveling them over with the flat ends of her kunai. "Sing the reprise, Granny!~ C'mon, how did it go again? Shnaw, rollin! Rollin!" Doki merrily frog-hopped next to the second to last patch. Ahah! Signs of spittlebugs were all over the goldenrods. She sat and commenced cutting off the silken blobs while the old lady was still chuffing out the next lyrics.

She was down to her final clump. No more weeds as far as she knew. She inspected the garden and plants one last time. Her teeth clicked when she almost stumbled over a beautiful patch of marigold. Luckily, she landed beside it and on the pile of spittle bug nests. The mess was quickly disposed of. Her client then started up to thank the girl, but Doki was even quicker and cut across the path to save her client the distance and effort. "No problem. Don't worry about the spittle bugs too much. Their work's are just unsightly, though no real harm actually comes to the plants. Oh, and the Lady-gals are welcomers." It surprised Doki how much she knew about gardening now after sharing her client's cataloging. But no matter, she was glad to have made friends with the old lady. She bid farewell and headed off towards the dojo.

Kyo and Shi scanned the residental area, going on top of the housing rooftops to see better on the area. He could do the pull the weeds out while he was here. Jumping down to a garden as he looked at it. It was small but damn it was covered in weeds! He started the tug o' war with the weeds. Dandelions, evil buggers that even Shi was having trouble with.[1/4]

He sighed as he had to identify the weeds from the vegetables. It was difficult because he didn''t like vegetables and wanted to pull them all out. Pulling more weeds out, he growled as the dirt flung into his face when he did. Shaking off the dirt with a frown.[2/4]

Sneezing from some dust that picked up, he whiped his nose on his sleeve and kept pulling out the weeds. It was a bad job, annoying, and dirty! Laying on the grass he took a rest. These weeds were like hell only green.[3/4]

He stood up, pulling the weeds again and again. Finally fed up with them and was done. Sighing he carefully replanted all the vegetables. Thank god they were all carrots![4/4]

Fuyu awoke in her apartment in a daze, she wasnt sure how she got there. But, it was clear she had fallen asleep on the couch and ended up on the floor. Her house was a wreck and she looked a wreck,"I gotta stop drinking out so late after training sessions." Time off was nice but, it was making her lazy. "I wonder if Kein is going to stop by today like he promised?"
