"That depends on the person. If you were a witch you would probably still be a total doormat." Ashen joked as she watched him bring out the blankets and pillows. "Speaking of which, are you certain you do not want your bed back? I'm just a freeloader at best, after all." Ashen's asking Rune if he would like to reconsider that little arangement had become somewhat of a daily ritual.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"If I did, I'd be able to do a lot more good for people than just mixing up medicine and bandaging up wounds." Rune smiled as he spread out the bedding. "It's fine, really."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Maybe. Though you'd have to keep it a secret, because people would be trying to kill you regardless of your intent." Ashen shrugged once more. "Anyway, thanks for being so generous. I still don't see why you insist on giving me so much, though."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

Rune simply shrugged. "It seemed like the right thing to do. Besides, the inn can be a tad pricy, and it's not often I get any guests out here."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Still, I am not the most pleasant person to be around. Even you must have noticed that by now."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Maybe so," A small chuckle escaped his lips as Rune lay out the blankets. "but that's no reason for me to be rude. Maybe you and others don't show it as much, but I believe that there's some good in everyone. Even then, no one's perfect."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Still, I don't see how you can stand to be around me for long. Even the kindest of saints have to have a limit, don't they?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Of course; I'm not going to show any sympathy for a willing criminal, but you're hardly a villain." Rune just offered her a smile while going into his room to change into sleep clothes.

 

[M3Gnificent]

'More a villain than you realise.' Ashen thought silently to herself, deciding to not say much more on the matter for the moment being.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Anyway, good night." Rune said with a small yawn, coming back out in a loose t-shirt and pants as he made his way for the couch.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Good night." Ashen went on to the bed Rune had so kindly let her sleep in, not taking long in getting comfortable and drifting off into a light slumber.

((Indeed. I honestly have very little ideas other than Ashen's little secret coming to light at some point. sweatdrop ))

The next morning, Rune was already up and cooking breakfast as the sweet smells filled the room.

Ashen was up not long after Rune started cooking. She was pretty quiet for the moment being, as she often was in the morning, choosing to focus on readying herself up for the day versus trying to make any sort of conversation.

((Dammit, the fanartists have done it again. They made me care about a character I was very 'meh' towards before, but then they had to go and keep making Mituna look adorable. Just call me a Captor fangirl since I seem to like them all. Although Karkat and Cronus will still have their places with me.))

"Good morning!" Rune chirped in his usual cheery manner when he saw Ashen emerge from her room.

{Lol, they make it absolutely impossible to hate any Homestuck character...Eridan included. xd }

"Morning." Ashen sounded much groggier, as if she were barely keeping awake. Or worse, that she hadn't had her coffee yet. (Which she hadn't. And that's terrible.)
