Ishiman lumbered wordlessly into the arena, his eyes sparkling strangely in the shadows of his sockets. He took his place across the arena without even acknowledging his opponent.

Ishiman slowly approached his opponent. He swung both fists at Basan's head.

The birdlike monster was deceptively strong, and was able to stop Ishiman's attack. He lashed out at the stony face of his enemy with a quick strike of his beak.

With a twitch of his neck, Ishiman avoided the assault on his face. He brought his knee up, attempting to knee the creature in the jaw.

Basan took it on the chin with a squawk, and retaliated with a quick slash of his talons.

Pebbles tumbled from Ishiman's body as Basan's talons slashed him. His face split vertically from between his eyes to his chin. Thousands of jagged "teeth" lined the inside. With a mournful groan, Ishiman attempted to take a bite out of Basan's throat.

Basan screeched as he felt stony teeth tear into his flesh. With a roar he belched white-hot fire in his opponent's face.

Ishiman reared back as the fire burned the moss growing along his head and blacked the stone of his face. With an angry bellow, he bodyslammed his opponent.

Basan was helpless against the force of the ground rising to meet him at such an accelerated rate. He managed to right himself and escape Ishiman's iron grip, and plant an angry kick in his opponent's abdomen.

A large section of Ishimans's abdomen fell apart as his opponent's attack hit home. He slammed his fist into his opponents face in retaliation.
