Taima let the mixture simmer for a moment, just in case it suddenly started boiling again. When nothing happened, she slowly and carefully turned the heat back up.

...okay. She raised a skeptical brow, watching the temperature rise and... rise? She'd done that right? Really? Another glare was shot to the potion. Agsil couldn't tell if she was actually getting the hang of it... or just digging herself into a hole.
Potion Ingredients
Kirinni Bones. Small and dainty, these are perfectly preserved and relatively rare. Treat with caution, as they break easily. MAIN Hound's Tooth. A sharp canine that might cut you if you're not careful. Also there are cracks in several of them. Hair from the tail of a 9-tailed Kitsune. An odd purple in color, though they tend to also be yellow occasionally.
Potion Temperature
85 degrees + 10 = 95 degrees
You are one fantastic ingredient-adder person. Just look at you go with all that precision! +10 degrees.

Oh. Hey. What was that? Kettil's eyes went to someplace shiny.
He got distracted by a ring he was wearing. Way to go.
The temperature decided it would be awesome to cool down a bit more and by the time Kettil figured that out he was less than pleased.

It was a good thing Taima was only turning the heat up in small increments, because the contents of the cauldron started boiling again. She was ready for it this time, quickly lowering the heat until the potion started bubbling a little less rapidly.

Agsil couldn't stop herself from grinning, watching as each time she added another ingredient to the potion, the substance... didn't lose heat. Her tail coiled towards her body, delight dripping off every inch of her as the dragon straightened in her seat. "By Jack it worked," she mused aloud. Of course, it wasn't time to celebrate yet. She'd only succeeded in getting the substance up to temperature.
Of course, for how Tavi carried on with it, you'd think he'd made a potion for infinite wishes or fortune. Still, she couldn't help but feel infected by his enthusiasm, chuckling outright as she cupped her cheek in a clawed, gloved hand and leaned her elbow on the table. Making sure as could be that she wasn't going to knock into the heater or her potion. "You were quick with your potion. Very nice. Hard to believe this is your first time." She lifted a brow, curious if it really was the boil's first time with potions.

This class was proving to be not only a lesson in basic potion-making, but an exercise in patience, as well. This was exactly why Taima didn't cook: she didn't have the time or desire to deal with ingredients acting in strange and unpredictable ways. Fortunately, the mixture seemed to be behaving a little better now, so Taima turned the heat up a little more.

Kettil stared despondently at his cauldron. He was up for a challenge but this was getting a bit hopeless even for him.

The potion started bubbling again, but not as rapidly as it had been earlier. Taima turned the heat up a little more, taking her hand away from the burner and shaking it off as a little bit of the mixture splashed out. Aside from the little bit that dripped out as the potion boiled, it seemed to be doing okay, so Taima just let it sit as it was, occasionally turning up the heat in very small increments until it reached the correct temperature.

Uru continued to stir the ingredients, the warmth of the dragon's scale was apparently helping the temperature. Still, he was hardly impressed, he was nearly half way from the intended temperature the professor wanted and it would others were either hit or miss with the task as well. With a sideways glance, the hellhound noticed a familiar face among the class; the female he had met from Scarentines. He remembered her face, and the scent of the room was so overpowering he wouldn't have noticed her from her smell. Since that event, he hadn't run into her again. Apparently, she was also having problems...
Mot frantically began tossing things in, hoping to level it all out.

“Shun!” Hel pouted, looking over at the boil. “Stop glaring a dagger at me!” She could see you, over there, eyeing her with your one eye.
The ghoul then looked over at Mot. “Why are you squeaking so much? No, wait...Mot? Can I punch your father in the face next time I see him?”
Hel then looked over at Kettil: "Heeey, Kettil, your potion is looking pretty cool over there." She then waggled her brows. Oh puns, you will never stop being funny.
Somehow he was managing to level it out again, despite the fact he was looking at Hel and not his brew.
"Huh? Punch my father? Why would you want to even touch him? Do not waste your time on such garbage."
