And neither had the yucky weird mud stuff! Thackery tried to stomp on it, whatever it was.

But stomping only attracted more vine attention. Alas.

Which then dragged him right back into the mud stuff. Was this even mud? It felt less and less like mud every time he had to deal with it.

The mud stuff kind of came off when he made it back into the water. He tried to get more off as quickly as he could.
