Avari curses to himself, what was going to keep Marcus down?
He readies himself, waiting and watching patiently. When Marcus turns around, Avari will jump up and bound off the rope rope, aiming to catch him with a flying forearm!

Marcus rights himself again and turns, right into a flying forearm that this time knocks him back to the mat again, leaving him flat on his back again

The crowd were chanting and cheering, as Avari braces himself and gets back to his feet with a kip up!
He throws his arms out wide to a loud pop and makes his way to the nearest turnbuckle. Leaping on top, he faces the crowd and will attempt a moonsault!

Marcus is still down the forearm when Avari comes crashing down on him with a moonsault, driving the air from him and forcing him to turn partially onto his side to catch his breath

Using the momentum, Avari catches Marcus' leg and hooks it for a pinfall attempt!

Marcus forces his shoulder off the canvas before the three count. It might look like a small movement but it had taken quite a bit of effort to beat that three count

The crowd couldn't help but start a round of applause and cheer at that moment, even if the 'villain' had kicked out of the pinfall attempt.
Avari rolls on his back and looks up at the lights again. He feels like he's running out of ideas to keep Marcus down, but isn't likely to stop any time soon.
Positioning his body so that their legs were next to each other, Avari attempts to lock in a Figure Four Leglock!

Marcus was definitely breathing heavy at this point. but if there's one thing he can't take at this point, it's more damage to his legs. as Avari attempts to get him in the figure four, Marcus perhaps draws some inspiration from his father as he sits up and reaches his right hand over to try to grab him by the throat and squeeze to prevent the hold

Taken aback by the sudden grab of his throat, Avari's survival instincts kicks in and he loosens the hold. The ref watches intently for any foul play, with the men locked up on the mat.

with his legs untangled, Marcus attempts to stand up and pull Avari up with him still held by the throat. Once vertical, he'd attempt to knee the younger Fusion in the gut and once again, pull a move from his father as he'd look to position and plant him for a Jacknife Powerbomb

The motion was fluid, it was quick, and it took Avari by surprise. Even with the table elbow drop, the stomps, the moonsault.. the fire inside Marcus burned hot again, and he had Avari up.. and then down hard, as the Jacknife Powerbomb planted Fusion hard on the mat.
The crowd looked shock, the camera shot moving to a young fan with their hands on their heads.

the fans pop a bit for the son imitating the legendary father, and those who've been around long enough might remember the move from the battle between both fathers. Marcus drops down next to him and covers him, pulling the far leg for the pin

The ref drops for the count..
One!
Two!
Th-
With still some life in him, and the fortune of landing not too far from the ropes, Avari reaches out and gets a foot on the bottom rope. The ref calls out for the two count, and points at Avari's leg for Marcus to see.
The crowd cheers in excitement as the bout continues!

Marcus looks up as the count stops and notices the foot on the ropes. Marcus can't hide his exasperation. He thought for sure he'd have put Avari down with that.
Pushing his hair back from his face, he gets to his feet and goes to pull Avari up again, this time aiming to lift him into position for a Tombstone

Avari is dragged away from the ropes and up to his feet, Marcus attempting to flip him in to position for a tombstone.
The lift was almost there but, right as Marcus got Avari on his shoulders, Fusion attempted to clock him with a hard forearm to the temple!
