~His Story~
Zahid's mother, Durriyah, is from an ancient long line of proud desert-striders. His pristine white coat (when not riddled with scars or blood), is from her side of the family. The adventurous rogue attitude, he gets from his father, Kasim. Who's mother was a rare Arabian Unicorn, and his father, a frightful demon. Kasim is a thief by trade. The story goes, that one day he intervened on a caravan heading across the desert, to steal the prize it had tucked away for the prince. Unawares to him, the treasure inside, was a beautiful vision of a mare. The mare was Durriyah, and she was to be a prize to the prince. Kasim fought of the guards, and kidnapped her. His intentions, to ransom her back to her father. They hid out in a desert cave for days. The two began to have feelings for each other. He decided he would return her to her father, wanting what was best for the mare he had fallen in love with. Even though the thought of separating, seemed to pain them both. It was the way it had to be. When the two returned to Durriyahs father, he believed that her purity had been tainted. He tried to kill them
both and they had to run for their lives. The love between the two of them, then blossomed like a rare desert flower.
Zahid is the only one in his parents brood, to not have wings. He's spent his life catching up to his siblings, and defending himself on foot. With great endurance, he's become very practiced with a blade. Though, he seems to have the incredible knack for finding trouble, when he's not looking for it! That sword keeps him out of harms way, when he lands himself smack in the midst of dangerous situations. The older he got, the further and longer he would stay away from home. From time to time, he returns to visit his mother; bringing her stories, and fine treasures.
Currently, he lives alongside Ivette, and looks forward to the day he can bring
his treasure home to meet his mother.
