With a gap glaringly present he carried on his offensive push possibly to his finally assault to reach Naizen's King.

Nope. Kagae had pretty much finished breaking through the first line and begun mopping it up so he wouldn't be left with any surprises.

Well, Naizen would be able to use his remaining bishop to stop the assault and pick off stragglers, right? {1 raise, 14 vs TN 30}

Nope. The unit seemed to be working in a tight, elite and organized bunch picking any stragglers off would result in disaster for the bishop.

Possibly but the offending piece was immediately savaged for its small victory. In truth this is the moment where one man or piece is going to make much difference.

Naizen would attempt to forgo the immediately retribution and instead try to position the knight in a way that would be able to start sniping pieces. {1 raise, 27 vs TN 30} However, he had to take the long way around, to avoid having it captured itself.

Ignoring the knight the unit marched straight for the king since the knight had left a gap Kagae intended to take advantage of.

Naizen was quickly running out of options, and his King was getting backed into the corner! He shifted his focus, deciding to start making moves towards Kagae's King, to perhaps call some of his men away! {1 raise, 26 vs TN 30}

Before Naizen could get his knight over there Kagae's unit reached the king and put him in an awkward position.

@ Crane Shenanigans:

He looked at the blade and the scrolls. "I am hoping that those are left unneeded, Kuni-san." With a bow, he'd offer an arm and, whether taken or not, he'd lead the way back to the Crane tents, stopping only to ask for tea to be brought.

After setting up a table and blue and white cushions, he would wait for Kaori to sit before he would. "How have the competitions been treating you?"

"The fact that you gloat so means not only have you learned nothing, but you are still incompetent and a fool." He would be forced to move his king, though he knew deep down that the battle was over. All he could do at this point was play it out to the end. {1 raise, 25 vs TN 40}

The king was all but trapped if Naizen could not break free this turn he would lose.
