Takamaru was blocked from his retreat from the rain, he was then told a series of odd things along with a question. but before all that he would be bombarded with other various pieces of info. For one, he knew this boy, 'From straiton!' his name, ' Is N!' whats that hes putting away, 'A Badge!?, this must be this towns Gym!' Whats that small fox shaped Blur? 'i must be seeing things'.
'My thoughts about perfect pokemon, whats inside the pokeballs, things that no one has seen? hmmm'
Takamaru would take a moment to process all this information, and like a computer thats been busy downloading multiple things, He Too would be slow to respond. "um....." came his Response.
Then came the rebooted response, "well, i would love to see things that no one has before, it would be pure and untouched i guess. As for Pokemon in there balls, im not that intelligent when it comes to mechanical devises or capsule devices, but im pretty sure there just little Traveling mechanisms, i could be wrong and probably am." The silver haired boy would take a minute to catch his breath and contemplate his last answer. "perfect pokemon? is there even a thing such AS perfect?" asked Tk whilst wondering what this boy named N was contemplating in his own mind..

Luka sighed as he looked at the cup of tea in front of him. The gym battle had barely even started, so he knew this was going to be a long, long day. He was planning on using Kai, so he would have to face Cress. Then again, he kinda wanted to get back to Nacrene quickly.
Maybe he should risk using Squirt. Using Tayla would put him up against Chili and he would be massacred. Tayla had no moves for dealing with fire types, but Squirt did have a move that could deal with a grass type. It would just be a really high risk strategy. Actually, maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea after all. Kai didn't have any moves to deal with water types, but, he didn't have a quadruple weakness to them. But, if Squirt could get in hits without getting hit himself then maybe.....

N took another few steps forward, which would probably force Takamaru backwards as he went into the rain. “The answer to that question is what I am seeking, but I believe that it can be. Still, you are willing to consider the possibilities. You may not see eye to eye with me now, but I can tell that there’s still a pureness to your heart.”
He snapped his fingers, and from the bushes next to the museum, a Tympole bounced onto the street to N’s side. “You may have the capacity to see this future I seek. It’s time for my friends and I to test if you can. Are you ready for this, Takamaru Takashi?”

Salieri just watched as Henrietta paid for the rest of the bill and left. She shook her head. Someone who carried around a weapon needed some confidence in her abilities. It looked like Henrietta lacked confidence in anything. Then again, she did remember seeing some bubbling passion when they battled on Route 3.
Now left with only pokemon for company again, Sal faced her team. “Right, time to get moving.”
~~~~
And so, a couple of hours later, Salieri emerged from the newly renovated dojo in Nacrene City, having signed up for the tournament. The rain was lighter now, but Salieri didn’t mind the drizzle at all. In fact, she still planned on being outside for the day. While the dojo was an obvious place to train, Salieri figured she could get even better training out on Route 3 with her pokemon. Martial arts and pokemon training, fused together. It’d be awesome.
She looked down the street at the way the coach she had taken came from. Past the bridge, she had seen a small school next to a Daycare center. If the school was anything like the Trainer Academy in Striaton, then she could get some good battling experience in after training. Sal looked up and allowed the raindrops to fall onto her face.
This tournament would be what could put her on the map. Salieri had been, more or less, training for this kind of thing for her whole life. To her, it was just an opportunity for good publicity. She wasn’t even considering losing as a possibility. Sal hadn’t bothered to listen about what the prize was because she didn’t care. As long as she could showcase her talent, then that was enough. Martial arts were her life. And soon Unova would be able to see just how much effort she had put into her being.
But until then, it was going to be a simple training day. She was so happy that she almost started skipping as she went through the rain back down Route 3.
Henrietta was out and about. Route 3 was a good place to train, if you wanted to be pestered by wild pokemon. The crater of the Dream Yard, collapsed in on itself by a facility that had simply been built too wide and left abandoned, was a better option for a solitary place.
Socant and Frate had been let out of their balls and Henrietta practiced her kendo with her new fashionable candle hat. She figured he'd just grown more attached to her, Melty though was eating.
[That b*****d torched me,] Frate said as he stared at Melty.
[Don't take it personally,] Socant said.
[But it WAS personal. Aren't we supposed to be team mates?]
[I guess.]
[You guess?]
[It's not like we have a choice, is it? Trainer uses us to fight, we fight. That's it.]
[Yeah but-
[Before you care about things like that, figure out why you're fighting. Why are you here?]
There was a long pause.
[Because I have no home to go back to,] Frate said.
[There's always a home.]
[Not for me. That place was horrible.]
[Alright, so you're homeless without a trainer.]
Socant skittered away and Frate followed.
[What about you?]
[What about me, what?]
[Why do you fight?]
Socant sighed. [Because people associate pokemon and trainer. If I didn't, I'd still be attacked.]
[And you don't want to get your a** kicked.]
[Right, and if you don't either then it's better to train while we can.]
And so the two would. Train, that is.
After relaxing in the steam room for about twenty minutes, Robert and his Pokemon Beatrix and Freya accompanied him to the showers to clean up. Once he and his companions were clean and dry, Robert headed up to get Garnet, who was finishing up 'talking' to her parents about everything she had gone through. "Garnet, let's go to the Pokemon Center. I've gotta book a room and get some lunch." he spoke to his Combusken before looking to John. "I'll come back to the gym area to train some more." Robert said
John gave a nod to Robert. "Sounds good. But feel free to stop over for supper." John offered. "Sure thing." Robert replied with a friendly tone of voice before he headed back down the stairs. Lilly watched as he exited the gym and then decided to follow him.
The rain was lighter, but Garnet didn't enjoy it any more than she did before. Once inside of the Pokemon Center, Garnet used her inner fire to heat herself up and dry herself off. Robert approached the counter to be greeted by Nurse Joy. "Hello, I'd like a room for the night." Robert requested as he placed his Pokedex down as his form of ID.
Once Nurse Joy went through Robert's trainer information, she returned his Pokedex and handed him a key card. "Alright, your room is the fourth door to your right on the first floor." Nurse Joy spoke. Single rooms were not very spacious as the group rooms, but it was all he needed. Robert headed down to the room and opened the door.
The single room was pretty small. There was a single queen bed, a heater/air conditioner unit, a flat screen wall mounted TV hanging over a small two drawer dresser and a walk-in bathroom with a shower, a toilet and a small sink with mirror. Robert put away his backpack in the drawer and headed back out, locking the door behind him.
"Alright ladies, let's go to the cafeteria and get some food." Robert suggested. He hadn't had lunch yet, but he wasn't going to spoil the dinner at John's house. Robert got for himself a berry and herb salad with some hot herbal tea, while he got some bowls of cubed fresh berries and hot teas for his Pokemon. Robert poured some ranch dressing on his salad and looked to his trio. "Alright ladies, enjoy the food. Just be sure to save some room for tonight's dinner. Once we're done here, we'll head back to the gym. Freya and Garnet, I'll need your two to spar with me. Beatrix, I'll need you to toss some Shadow Balls at me for me to dodge afterwards. That'll be tonight's training regime. And after that, massages for everyone, a polish and a brush out for you Freya, an air-bath for you Garnet and some mineral oil and aloe skin treatment for you Beatrix." Robert said with a cheery tone of voice. With that, they began to eat their meal.
"Hear that, Kali? We go first." She nodded and floated in front of Avan. Now's my chance to show him what we have. I'll make him see that he was wrong before!
"Night Shade!" A black and purple beam fired form the ghost's hand at the monkey.
Except that, as it's been established one trillion times, Night Shade isn't a beam. It manifests as the target's fear. In this case, Panpour's. The image of forests thrown at him was quickly dispersed by a powerful blast of Water Gun.
"Work up," Cress ordered. He didn't need to go on the offensive if that was all that Avan had.
Panpour used Work Up.
Liuye’s bladed hands whistled in the rain as Chen Zhen ducked and dodged his blows, balancing precariously from his small perch. Liuye Dao stood on a similarly tiny platform, which moved up and down rhythmically in time with his sparring partner’s platform. And all the while, they’d continue to stay put on their tiny perches. It forced them to stay in close quarters combat with each other. Below them, they could hear Salieri’s voice.
“Twenty nine, twenty eight, twenty seven…” This mantra had been going on for a while now as the Battle Girl stood on her hands, pumping her arms up and down in a series of handstand pushups. Of course, it wasn’t just her own body weight she lifted. She also carried her Pansage and Pawniard’s as well: the platforms they stood on were the bottoms of her shoes as she pumped her legs up and down in time with the motion of her body.
It was difficult to keep her hands still on the ground when the mud made them slide around, but Sal continued her reps. She used to do this exercise in the dojo in Saffron with weights, but with pokemon involved it was basically the same. And it offered a new terrain to help improve her pokemon’s balance and overall coordination.
As this regimen continued, Salem was the only one not training. As usual to her prissy nature, the Eevee disliked being out in the rain. It matted down her soft brown fur. So Salieri decided to give her a break and let her rest in the pokeball.
Above her, the short battle was heating up. Neither pokemon was using any real attacks, but instead they just used martial arts movements taught to them by Salieri. So the blows they traded became faster and faster, making it harder to stay on.
“Eighteen, seventeen…hey, chill out up there, you’re making me lose-“
Salieri had tempted fate. Her hand slipped, and she fell flat onto her face in the mud. Chen Zhen and Liuye Dao toppled onto her as well, looking flustered from the sudden loss of terrain. They both stood up, shrugged, and then continued to spar standing atop of Salieri’s back.
“Mmph!”
She pushed her body up, knocking her pokemon back onto the ground. Salieri’s front was now coated in mud as she disgustedly flicked her wrists in a pathetic attempt to get rid of some of the mud. Without another warning, she ran forward and jumped into the lake on Route 3, emerging seconds later from the ice water looking much cleaner. And pissed.
“Alright,” she stammered while walking up to the shore. “Which one of you lost their balance first?”
Chen Zhen and Liuye Dao looked at each other, and then silently pointed to the other one to throw them under the bus. Sal’s anger vein popped as she pounded a fist into an open palm. “That’s it, you’re going to get pounded.” And she ran after the pokemon, who both split up to avoid the chase.
A few seconds later, a loud BOOM! sounded off in the distance. Sal stopped putting Chen Zhen in a headlock for a second to look over at where the sound had come from. It looked like it was the Daycare Center. “We should probably check that out.”
~~~~
A short walk later, and Salieri was knocking on the door of the Daycare loudly. “Hmm, wonder if they’re home-“
As if to answer her question, an old lady opened up the door for her. “My, you’re soaking wet! You’ll catch a cold in this rain! Come, come inside and dry off by the fireplace.”
Salieri hadn’t even gotten a word in edgewise, but she couldn’t complain. “Thanks. I was just checking to see if everything was okay over here,” she told the lady as she wiped her feet on the guest mat. “I thought I heard an explosion.”
The old lady nodded. “Ah, you must have heard Gaon battling, then.” “Gaon?” The old lady walked over to the window, and Salieri followed. It showed a view of a large field encircled by a fence, where many pokemon played in the rain and others stayed in the dry house connecting to the field. In the center of the field was a Sawk, struggling to get to his feet opposite of a Monferno. Despite the rain, the fire type’s tail still blazed strongly.
“A Monferno?” Salieri did not have much knowledge about pokemon not native to Kanto or those around Nuvema Town, but her knowledge on Fighting types was almost encyclopedic. “Those don’t live in Unova.” “They don’t. This one was left here by his trainer.”
The Sawk charged forward with a battlecry that Salieri couldn’t hear because the window was closed. She could only hear rain tap against the glass as she saw the Monferno cross the distance between the two in the blink of an eye and press it’s fist against the karate pokemon’s face. The Sawk was flung backwards, defeated.
Sal narrowed her eyes at the Monferno’s face. It still didn’t look satisfied, despite the victory. It reared it’s head at the other pokemon, who backed off from the challenge. The monkey flung his head back and roared, although Sal still couldn’t hear the cry.
“About two months ago, a trainer came by here with that Monferno. He told Gaon that he’d only be leaving him here for a day.” The old lady went back to the fireplace to sit on the couch, and Salieri followed. “But he never came back. All he told us was that Team Plasma was right.”
“Plasma?” A sinking feeling dropped into Salieri’s gut. So they were actually successful at convincing trainers to let go of their pokemon? “So you’ve been watching Gaon since then, I take it?”
“Well, at first. I think he realized his trainer wasn’t coming back about a month ago. Since then, he hasn’t listened to us. Gaon has become aggressive, picking fights with other pokemon.” The old lady sighed. “It’s become a problem for business, actually, but we can’t just let him back into the wild. He’d be abandoned twice over.”
The Battle Girl stared into the fireplace as the story was told to her. Her eyes were glazed over, as if her mind was in another place. Finally, she spoke.
“I think I can help you and Gaon, ma’am.”

To be compleatly honest, Takamaru wast not surprised by this. He's learned to Expect the unexpected in these few short days, this was just another one of those times.
"ok, your cool with one V one right?" he asked stepping out into the rain, not bothered by its sogginess. "either way, my first draft pick, and my partner Spike will be the one to do battle!" he exclaimed while Tossing His buddies pokeball into the air, releasing his Pokemon from his home like structure, 'does it feel homey in there i wounder?' Takamaru would save his talking about the topic until during the battle or after, he had some questions and he felt that he could trust N, or at least trust him to give him the truth...
The Iron clawed Mole Pokemon appeared with grin, he was ready for a good battle, though he didn't take to kindly from the rain, no, he only toughed it out because he was wanting to finally win a fight, seeing as he lost both battles hes been in since being caught. [To make my trainer proud, ill win!] he hollered in poke-talk

Avan recognized the attack, if he allowed it to continue, it would mean disaster for the two. "Disable!" The Spirit Pokemon's eyes glowed, working to effectively seal off the Work Up attack.
"Now Ominous Wind!" A fierce, purple wind howled toward the Panpour.

SMASH! His foot smashed into the ground as the wind came. The ground shifted and exploded, the solid force blocking the wind before the rocks would be sent with a series of blows at Kali, aimed to bury her under a Rock Tomb.
Panpour, in all of his bad assery, would ride the rock tomb down at Kali.

The field behind the Daycare was mostly without grass, due to pokemon trampling all over it. In the rain, the soil turned dark and muddy. And now that the other pokemon had fled inside, the Monferno was all alone. He stood there angrily. Had all of his opponents been too scared to challenge him? There had to be something more for him to fight, to smash apart.
“Gaon!”
The Monferno turned around to see Salieri standing on the other side of the field. “My name is Salieri Del Forrest!” she yelled over to him. “I want to talk to you!”
Slowly, Gaon turned his body to Sal to give her his full attention, bearing his teeth angrily. “The lady inside told me what happened to you. About how you’ve been fighting all the time. About your trainer leaving you here-“
[SHUT UP!] he roared, and he opened his mouth wide. A red beam ejected out of his mouth: Heat Wave. The scorching breath attack landing to the side of Salieri, creating a loud BOOM! identical to the one Salieri had heard on Route 3. The soil blew up into the air, but Salieri did not flinch. She started to walk forward, and the Monferno began to tense up. Who was this girl? Was she brave or stupid?
“You’re fighting to prove yourself, I know that. You want to show that you aren’t something to be thrown away. But you won’t accomplish anything here.” She stopped walking and produced a pokeball from her belt bag. “So I’m going to take you out of here. I’m challenging you to a fight, Gaon.”
He waited for her to produce a pokemon out of that pokeball. She didn’t. It looked like she wasn’t going to. Gaon was on the verge of a bitter fit of laughter now. Seriously? He’d wipe the floor with her.
“If I win, I’m taking you with me and changing your name. If I lose, you can keep up this meaningless violence.” Sal stopped talking and relaxed her muscles. “So, what do you say?”
The Monferno clenched his fist. [I already said SHUT UP!]
He was now right in front of her, and the distance between them was almost zero now in the span of a second, almost as if he teleported. He reared his fist back and throttled it forward. And he waited for it to connect to her stomach. But it didn’t.
Salieri had seen his Mach Punch from inside. So she knew it was coming. He swung and missed as Sal held his forehead back with an open palm. Although she was short, Monferno was much smaller and so his arms could not reach as her longer limbs kept him at a distance.
“You’re not skilled enough!” she taunted over the rain as she lifted her foot up, kicking him in the stomach and knocking him to the ground. Gaon got up like a crazed beast and jumped at Salieri, launching a Thunderpunch hook at her face.
He was strong, Salieri could see that right away. Faster than her too. But his attacks were fueled by rage, and that made them predictable. She grabbed his wrist and flipped him over her shoulder, slamming him onto his back while still holding onto his arm. Gaon opened his mouth to charge up another Heat Wave, but Salieri stomped on his stomach before that could happen. He coughed up smoke, as his lungs had been smashed by the attack. He couldn’t make a breath attack with his breathing compromised like this. Gaon had been pinned. He lost.
“I know what you’re going through! I know what it feels like to be thrown away like a piece of trash!” she screamed again. Gaon didn’t try to get up now, but he heaved heavy, angry breaths. Her voice was compelling and genuine. “I know that you feel like you need to show that you’re not worthless! That you aren’t worth throwing away!”
Her voice cracked, and Gaon felt himself get calmer. His breathing slowed down. “Gaon, listen to me! I’ll never throw you away! You’ll become part of my team, and I’m going to the top! I’m going to show everyone that you and I are meant to be something more than what people think we are!” She panted as her grip loosened on his wrist. “I’m promising you the world!”
Now she had let go and removed her foot from his chest, taking a step backwards. Gaon remained on the ground, sprawled on his back looking up at the sky. There was a lump in his throat. No one had ever beaten him like this before. She had pierced the armor he had built in the past two months. He felt like he was about to…no, he couldn’t.
She dropped to her knees. “Join me, Gaon,” she asked him softly, quiet enough that it almost got drowned in the rain while she held up the pokeball she had been holding. “Please?”
He sniffed. The lump in his throat got tougher as he slowly reached out his hand and put it on top of the outstretched pokeball. Salieri curled her fingers around his hand.
She knew it was raining out, and that that it was rain water streaming across their bodies. But she could have sworn she saw tears coming out of his eyes.
~~~~
The old lady quickly opened the door when she saw Salieri walk up to it from outside. “I saw that you fought him yourself out there. That was very reckless of you.” “I know.” She wiped some rain water off of her forehead as she stood in the doorway. “But if I told you I was going to do that, you wouldn’t have let me, would you?”
The old lady smiled warmly. “So, I guess you’ve quelled his anger?” Salieri nodded, holding up the Monferno’s pokeball. “He’s going to come with me now. I hope you don’t mind how I dealt with things.” She shook her head. “I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I know you’ll take good care of Gaon-“ “That’s no longer his name. I’m removing his ties to the past.” The Battle Girl looked down at the pokeball. “His name is going to be Wukong from now on,” she addressed to the old lady, but it looked like she was speaking to the pokeball.
“I cannot thank you enough for what you’ve done today. Are you sure you don’t want to spend the night? We have a spare room ready for guests.”
Salieri shook her head. “No thanks, I’ve got to get back to Nacrene City.” “Well, if you ever need a favor, you’re welcome to ask.” “Thanks, ma’am.” Sal bowed and turned to the exit. She had one foot out the door before she turned her head back. “Actually, I do have a favor to ask of you. Do you have any moonshine? I’m trying to make a stew tonight.”
The old lady took a few seconds to process the request. And even after that, she took another few to figure out if the Battle Girl was serious or not. “…come again?"
"Haze!" A black smoke erupted from the Yamask as the Rock Tomb rained down. If the Panpour was riding the attack like said, then it'd be caught in the smoke, eliminating the Work Up bonus.
She phased through the ground and back up on to land, "Night Shade!"
Kali was surrounded by a pink aura (NOT actual aura, just in terms of using the attack), then replaced by a pink glow, waves of energy left her body and then the Panpour would once again be attacked by it's greatest fear
N could understand exactly what Spike had exclaimed. "I admire your tenacity, but your cause is a lost one," he said to the pokemon, although Takamaru would probably think he was talking to him. "Tympole, I need your help!"
In response, the tadpole pokemon hopped forward. In the rain, his speed was doubled with Swift Swim as he glided along the ground like a misshapen hockey puck towards Spike. N gestured at Takamaru's pokemon. "Tympole, use your Bubblebeam!"
The tadpole opened up it's mouth when it got a little closer and fired a spray of rapid fire bubbles at his foe, with their strength increased by the rain. The bubbles would explode with surprising force on contact, and if they hit the Drilbur they would possibly slow him down.
