Hector took a deep breath, not liking how he talked to her. She grabbed her pillow and walked passed Victor to close the door. She turned towards him knocking the pillow across his face.

Victor stepped back and placed a white gloved hand on his face. He then looked at her with a frown. "What was that for?!" he demanded.

"Don't talk to me like that." She replied. "You sound like a backstabbing woman. And trust me, I know."

Victor grabbed the pillow and hit Hector in the face with it. "As you command" he replied and dropped the pillow.

"That's better." She replied, bending down and picking up the pillow. She then swung it across his face again.

"Yes I am." She said, smacking him across the face again. "At least it's a lot less violent then what you did to me."

"It was because you slapped me, and at the time I wasn't aware you were a woman, so I thought it was because you thought so highly of yourself that you slapped whoever touched you. I took it as arrogance" Victor said.

"Much better." She replied. "If only I had candy. Oh well." She replied, sitting on her bed and stretching. "I suppose it's pointless to go back out there again. Lets just hope the prince doesn't come knocking at my door."

"Now, would you care for a dance?", Danny asked, offering a hand to Ruby, not noticing at all the commotion with the prince that had diverted the masses' attention.
The food finally arrived. Win thanked the waiter with a kind smile before turning to her food with profound interest as she picked up her utensils. The food from Ander was different indeed but it sure looked interesting to taste, even for once. She normally bought bread and seldom stayed around. Even so, she would still order food that were familiar to her from her native land. Food in taverns, for example, were well-suited for travelers like her who had varying tastes.

"Do you want me to check and see if John is stable enough to leave the hospital?" Victor asked.

"Sure." Ruby replied, taking his hand. By then, the music had resumed playing and the nobles had settled, though half of them didn't feel like dancing. The prince himself had disappeared from the party, which was not like his normal self.
Hector looked away for a moment, then looked back at Victor. "No. If his condition changes any, they'll tell me. Besides, he was always working to hard. He needs a break." She sighed. "Maybe I should hire a second body guard and just make you a gofer or something. You're terrible at protecting me."

"Whatever you decide" Victor said. He didn't really care anymore. He would go back to regular watch duty if he had to.

"What did you do back in Gunther anyway. You had to have had some specific duty." Hector said. "You know, something your good at." She said, then was silent for a moment. "It was torturing, wasn't it."

"Yes, torture and interrogations was one of the things I was assigned to frequently because I was good at it, but I have other skills as well. I've also been known to be a good navigator, watchman, and I could keep soldiers in line. I've also been told my battle tactics are decent. I'm not a specialist in that field though. There are others that are better equipped for that situation" he said.
