Haze hit the rocks and splashed around it, flying away uselessly as the rocks cut through the haze attack.
The rocks smashed into the ground, embedding like tomb stones. How Kali had managed to escape after firing Haze and then phasing was beyond Panpour, especially with the deep roots that the rocks had made.
So it was one of those types? Perfect. Panpour was flipping up and over the illusion the Night Shade gave, dodging it with absolute skill.
As he flipped he'd Taunt Kali. It was fairly simple.

Almost as soon as that line was uttered, Kali erupted in a rage. She glared and fired Ominous Wind at the mid-air Panpour before it finished it's flip. Always a silent lass, she didn't mutter a word back, but her fury was clearly seen.
"K-Kali! What's wrong?"
No answer.

It was okay, because Panpour was falling onto Kali. His leap put him to land atop her with "Payback." His arms cackled with dark energy as his hands came down, double palmed, aimed to smash into Kali with his landing and send her into the floor.

And send her into the floor it did! Her instinct was to phase, but there was no getting past the attack. Payback hit and hit hard; rocketing her downward, a small crater formed beneath her. As she hit down, a black mist started to leak from her hands and from the golden mask she carried.
"Kali!" Avan called out in worry as the Yamask had gotten slammed down. For a moment she didn't move. "Kali please stand!" Avan hated himself, she was hurt bad, and just like that their matched seemed over almost as quickly as it begun. The black mist...
"C'mon Kali! Get up! I know you can do it!" His words seemed to get through, as Kali's armed twitched, and her mask moved. Kali made an effort to rise; and when she reached a 'standing', Avan called out. He remembered what the black mist meant. "HEX!"
The black mist that leaked from her body started to gather in an orb over her head, it opened and revealed a hideous eye. From it, waves of energy were sent out at the opponent.

"Break it," Cress ordered calmly. Panpour smirked as he jumped over the hex attack, it slamming into the ground and Panpour brought down a blast of Ice Beam from above. His target? The eye.

"Night Shade!"
Kali left the Hex attack where it was and let the it get destroyed. And as Panpour was preoccupied with getting rid of the Hex, she released the Night Shade at the monkey.

The blast knocked him away as the hex was destroyed. He'd land and grin at the distance. From this distance he'd fire a Surf attack.

The wave of water came, but Avan saw a chance. "Rush through it! Protect." the Yamask dashed forward into the oncoming wave, a green barrier surrounding her, and met it. As the water washed around the barrier, Kali emerged on the other side. "Night Shade!" and with that command, Kali released the attack as the barrier faded away.

BUT WAIT, TIME FRAME!
As Kali rushed through Panpour would freeze the water. Though the Night Shade would likely hit, the end result was likely Kali frozen in a block of ice.
also bam, as the night shade hit panpour would be knocked unconscious.
"Seems it's your victory," said cress as he produced a badge and walked to the center of the arena.

Kali was indeed frozen inside it; but when Cress said what he did, Avan was stunned for a moment, as he couldn't exactly see behind the large, frozen wave. A dumb smile came across as Cress reached the boy, who met him half way. Avan blushed as he accepted it.
Avan returned the frozen Kali to her Pokeball and made a mental note to get her healed up.
"Th-Thank you so much..." Avan said, trying hard not turn completely red while the gym leader stood so close to him. "I hope we showed something different to you." His hand reached down, and patted Kali, who was wavering.

And after that, Avan took to the streets on Striaton. It was time to talk to Baku.

Well, that was a bit of a crap battle. There was no other way to describe it. It was utterly bland and uninteresting. Well, Luka would just have to make things interesting. His battle with Cress was about to begin.

And then, formalities and boring bits that Trop really doesn't want to post for the 10th time aside, Luka's battle would totally begin.
The environment this time was none, cause Trop isn't feeling creative.
Panpour vs. Kai was the setup, unless Luka used a different Pokemon, then he wasn't even facing Cress right now.
All the boring stuff aside...
"The challenger gets the first move," Cress said.

((Well, I assumed that since the battle was over, it wouldn't matter either way. You know like...just to leave her there in a block of ice seemed kind of...weird. -shrug-. Obvi it wouldn't happen if actual battle.
