Raikou caught the headband within his fingers before tying it loosely around his neck. Akita nudged his leg, reminding him that she was also considered a ninja of the village. Raikou chuckled lightly, "If you do not mind, my companion would like a headband as well." A smile arose on his face after hearing that Ayame was alive. Now, he'd have to find her. Surely, there weren't that many Hatake within the village, but with the Kazekage easily being able to tell he was a Hatake, she must have met many before. Listening carefully to the missions being listed, he crossed his arms across his chest and sighed deeply. "Community service is definitely doable in my book, but this deadbeat grandson should probably be dealt with first. Please, inform me of what's been going on with this child, and where I can find him, and I promise you his actions will not go unpunished." If it was one thing he couldn't stand, it was laziness, and acting such a way around elders especially would not be tolerated. "As for the other two missions, I'd like to take those too if you do not mind. I'm sure Akita and I will be able to split the work evenly and get them all done in a timely manner."

Bast nodded toward Doc. It seemed his mission with Manfread had gone well, given his continued laziness; she was pretty sure that he would be freaking out if Manfread had died.
"The deadbeat was hanging around the Shopping Superdome, last I heard," she told Raikou while she tossed a headband at Akita. "From what I understand, he got fired from his job at Didrika's Kiosk about a year and a half ago and has been spending his days loitering in the Shopping Superdome and picking fights with anyone who tries to help him out. He's usually in the food court. If you want to knock him out, go ahead; I'm sure no one is going to mind, and it'll probably be easier to drag him back to his grandfather that way. The Pet Walking mission involves taking the pets of several inhabitants of the Residential District and, well, walking them. Just take them around the Village for a bit until they're nice and tired, then drop them back off with their owners. Trash Collection is also pretty straightforward: the Library has been getting a bit dirty lately both inside and out, so it needs to be cleaned. The custodian recently injured his ankle, so he hasn't been up to the task, which is where you come in. How does that sound?"

Akita caught the headband within her jaws before Raikou leaned down to retrieve the headband from her, and tie it around her neck. He examined her briefly, giving a nod of approval shortly after. It looked good on her, and he was sure she'd be committed to the duties of a Ninken and his companion. The Kazekage proceeded with a quick run-down of the three missions they had been assigned -- Raikou's main focus being on the first mission instructed, taking note of the location and the small facts he received about the boy's previous history. As for the following two missions, they seemed easy enough to complete, nor did he have a problem with picking up one's trash. Though, to be honest, he was a little disappointed in the citizens who would do such a thing. Especially in the library of all places. When the Kazekage was finished, Raikou gave her a humble bow before turning on the balls of his heels, now facing the exit to the office. "Consider it done, Lady Kazekage." His hands slipped inside of his Kimono, pulling out a book and raising it to his face with a single hand. His eyes were blinded by a wall of text to the path before him, but he strode forward, well aware of his surroundings. Akita followed behind, stopping as Raikou halted within the frame of the office door. He raised his free hand, waving to the Kazekage. "Good day." And with that, both figures left the office without another word.

"This again eh Kage-sama?" Zel smiled a little, this wasn't the first time he heard such words from Bast or pretty much everyone else around him. He knew they had a point though, that he was a waste. Today marked the tenth year since his graduation from the ninja academy, and despite all the time that has passed since then he hasn't made any real achievements despite how grand a contribution to the village his teachers though he'd make. His so-called highly regarded 'prodigious' skill has been left to rot in the desert heat.
"I know, I know..." Zel reached out and took his new headband, then tied it around his arm. "I've been taking too long of a break, yes. I'm the only twenty year old genin, yes. But it's just..."
Zel found himself once again looking for an excuse out of this topic, he sighed. "...Let's just talk about this some other time. It's not like I'm in any shape for any dangerous missions anyway even if I wanted too. I'm out of practice." So much so that Zel admittedly even forgot how to use Douka, an ability that has been with him since birth.
But he wasn't gonna say that out loud, that would be a one-way trip to the dojo. Things would just get more bothersome if that happened.

The boy of twenty years wasn't budging an inch. The Bast shuffled through some papers on her desk absentmindedly until she came across one that caught her eye. A tiny spark of good-natured evil formed in her mind as the old spirit of Community-Minded Woman came partially back to life. It had been a while since she had mustered up the courage to fight the scourge of litterbugs, but this was a much simpler task.
"Well, here's a mission for you," she said calmly, "and it just so happens to address your complaints. It's D-Rank, don't worry. I hereby assign you a mission to go learn a Jutsu! It's the last one left, too, so take it or leave it."
The woman picked up a stack of what were clearly unfilled mission requests and began to fan herself with them.
"Oh, and on your way out, you might want to say hello to all the hobos living on our scorched streets. That is, of course, if you can find one!"
The woman who was once Community-Minded took another sip from the skull teacup, wondering if this was how all superheroes acted when they retired.
