Still staring at the wolf, Samuru was a bit surprised to hear it speak and scowled but....his thoughts went a little differently That....is cute. Its cute. Faaawk, its cute. It talked. he blinked at the wolf a few more times, still scowling "...no..." he muttered then looked over his shoulder to see Noctis. He was still scowling but his expression slowly smoothed out to just a blank expression. Debating whether to speak or to let Jae speak, Samuru settled on not saying anything, merely nodding to Jae.

Disappointment shown on Jae's face at Eclipse's admittance to not knowing where Noctis was. Scratching her head a few times she tossed her hair over her shoulder, a typical tic of hers when irritated. Guess I am going to have to drag him out myself... If he wasn't still in the hospital. "Alright. Thanks." She said, turning to go. She stopped short, noting that Noctis had arrived on cue. No s**t! Placing her hands on either side of her hips she opened her mouth to spit her retort at him but came up short. Something didn't feel right. It wasn't that sickly, weak feeling from earlier either. She clamped her mouth shut and nodded slowly. Looking to Samuru he seemed to give her the go ahead to speak up for them. Not that she needed much prompting anyway. Keeping one hand on her hip she lifted the other and held three fingers up. "We took the mission to investigate the missing persons report. It was a man named Yuusuke Tachibana. He was abducted on his way home from a Sake bar. We followed his trail and learned that some suspicious people had frequented that bar, the night of his disappearance..." Jae put down one of her fingers as she continued her explanation. She had to work fast. She was fearful the trail would get cold. "We heard that there were suspicious happenings near the Hokage's monument. We ended up picking up the trail there. No leads for Yuusuke's disappearance initially but we did find some odd markings engraved into the ground. They were big, intricate and creepy looking..." She said, her brows furrowing as she recalled the markings on the ground and Samuru's description. Putting her other finger down she paused, putting the last down as well and looking to Samuru before her lips mashed into a straight line. She spoke as if clenching her teeth together then. "We decided to stick around in case someone showed up...They did. We gave chase but lost him in the dirtier parts of Konoha." Jae ended, crossing her arms over her chest and looking very surly now. That last bit had not sat well with her. "He wasn't just anyone either. The b*****d was a trained shinobi." She added, looking even more fired up than before.

Noctis listened to Jae report, looking through the missing person. Yuusuke was indeed on the list of people that had gone missing recently. So he was heading home from a sake bar? So he was drunk when they kidnapping happened. Would make for and easy abduction, but still noone noticed anything? Maybe he was lead somewhere, always a possibility. Jae continued her explanation, intricate marking? sounds like the circles popping up everywhere in Konoha. He's already sent a work order for the streets to be repaved and walls to be painted but they would need some time to get ready. Something peaked his interest, a trained shinobi? Could it be an enemy who infiltrated? But then why would they infiltrate just to kidnap normal civilians? Then it hit him."You say you lost in within the village? So he knew the layout of the village well enough to escape you, this is troubling." Noctis leaned back in his chair. So either we've had someone roaming the village learning its in and outs. Or they had a traitor in their midst. He looked over to the corner of the room and a shadow would vanish. The anbu just doing their job."We are going to spread our patrols out to other areas, ignoring the downtown area. I'll have anbu keep watching over it instead. See if we can have who ever is there slip up, if they think we aren't focusing in that area. Their main focus will be the bars, all of the victims have been over the legal drinking age."Something else was bothering, this all seemed way to familiar to a year ago. But this time, the people they were up against were alive and trained. His thoughts fell back on what they recovered one year ago.

He would place it on the desk before waving, "See ya la-.." The clone would puff into smoke unexpectedly... .. .. what could have happened?

Samuru listened quietly but..."Its possible but knowing the village and using crowds to escape are different. Although..." he offered quietly then narrowed his eyes "Yuusuke-san was not a drinking man. He stopped at a little known sake shop to buy a bottle for his wife, to celebrate an event. He had a single cup of sake. He was not inebriated and he had a pattern. Bars may have nothing to do with it." he said, his hands coming to cross at his back.

That jab did not sit well with Jae. Mashing her lips into a straight line again she looked off to her right, clenching her fists. The person had duped her. She knew this village well. It was an insult and straight blow to her pride. Even though she knew Nocti's words were not made to insult her, her failure still stung. Samuru added to the vague information she gave, Jae looking to him for a brief moment. She smiled slightly, knowing Samuru was vested enough to care about Yuusuke's plight and defend the man from any misunderstandings. "Yuusuke san cares about his wife. He would come home straight from work to be with her. That occasion was rare...too weird. It was too planned..." Sending out ANBU? She narrowed her eyes slightly. She could do this task better than they could. ANBU did not move without orders. They would only endanger the citizens. "If we had someone go in as bait...wouldn't that work a lot faster?" Jae asked, looking to Noctis. Her hands were still clenched and her intentions were clear. I want to go. She could not just sit on her hands and wait for others to do something about it when she was more than capable of doing something. Especially since she promised Emi that Samuru and herself would bring Yuusuke back in one piece. "I want to go." She said, voicing her desire.

Noctis looked at those present."After our last discussion and Samuru's input, we broadened our searches. While many of the clubs, bars and area's of interest in downtown were closing. A single one seemed to have a continued flow of customers. My anbu were able to ID certain individuals who entered the bar were reported missing days after. And then more and more people vanished who had nothing to do with downtown. They've sped up the rate of kidnapping, disregarding the fact that we would obviously notice. They need these people for something and alot of them. We are going to be sending a team in to investigate. But in the mean time I'm sending you two."He said pointing at Jae and Samuru. He had denied Jae's request to act as bait previously."Along with Eclipse and another jounin named Ivilice Takamatsu. With Eclipse leading the group, you four are to head to a bunker outside the village and secure an object."Noctis was having a bad gut feeling. He felt the same thing one year ago when they faced the unitologist attack. He needed to make sure the item was secured at all costs."She'll be arriving any moment now. Wait here until she arrives."

After having been barred the last time from pursuing her own investigation of the events, Jae had ended up in a resentful stupor. She hadn't eaten, hadn't slept and most certainly hadn't been herself in days. The effects were starting to show on her features physically but she carried on much the same anyway. Her anger simmered underneath her skin, reducing Jae to a ticking time bomb. Having been summoned back to the office there were a lot of sour expressions that she had to hold back in her mouth while Noctis surmised what Intel he had gathered using the ANBU and what next steps they were to take into action. Jae's dull expression and lack of words was a tell tale sign that she was out of sorts. Now he was sending her on wild goose chase for a stupid item. Adding insult to the injury she was to play back burner once more. Lifting a hand to cover one of her eyes, she rubbed it and then let her hand fall back to her side. Always being held back. Always being underestimated and untrusted. Nothing new.

Closing her eyes slightly she refused to make eye contact with anyone. Jae hadn't even spoken to Samuru much the past days either and had used every excuse in the book to avoid him as much as she could. "..." They were then ordered to wait for the group leader. Jae hung back, standing off to the corner closest to the door. Crossing her arms over her chest she waited, her gaze falling to the floor as her thoughts continued to turn and turn and turn. It was a constant wheel of torture in her mind. The promise she had made with Emi was eating her alive. Every day that they let pass by was another day they risked the survival of not just Yuusuke but every other kidnapped person. Jae could care less about a stupid item. She wanted to find the people of the village first. They were the only thing she was dedicated to protecting above all else.

The older she got, the stronger she became the more questions and doubts seemed to plague her thoughts. Orders she would have followed blindly, allegiances she would have upheld above her own life and priorities she warred against with her morality were now questionable. She was changing in her point of views and it was making her scared. These thoughts were foreign to her and she wasn't sure how to handle them anymore. She had to get a hold of herself, for Samuru and the cause she had taken up. She had to get a hold of herself for her mother and the people she was still obligated to protect but it was getting harder and harder.

Standing away from Jae now, Samuru didn't hide his stare. He took in her features, strained and thinner, and her expression as well as the lack of smart a** remarks. Not speaking to her for those few days...had been pretty shitty. Jae had so focused herself on saving Yuusuke and helping Emi...This is like the crossroads all over again. she was killing herself to save someone else. At least the Hokage had been decent enough to call them back and keep them in the loop. Turning his gaze from her finally, he let his gaze slide from the Hokage to drift across the room "...." Samuru didn't know what to say so he said nothing. Resting back on his heels, he turned his gaze back on Jae and didn't shy away again, quietly contemplating her.

Having taken out a pack of cigarettes, Jun lit up on her way to the office. She'd gone at a leisurely pace, feeling no need to rush and was soon at the doors to the Hokage's office. With no sign of Masahiro or the others that she could recognize, Jun was halfway through smoking her cigarette as she knocked on the door. Just a bit of a call for attention so that the Hokage would know she was here and deal with her in time. In the meantime, she'd lean against the nearest wall and continue smoking.

Viewing the people in the room her mind ran over situations. "I am Eclipse Inuzuka. I don't believe I am antiquated with you all. Not to be abrupt. But I'd like a short summary of each of you. Strong points, etc. Just to get a feel of one another and what we'll be working with." Her voice was cool like Noctis' but warm at the same time, she knew Jae to an extent, but not enough of a professional background. The others were just names at this point.

Samuru turned his gaze from Jae to the woman who looked....slightly familiar? He stared at her a bit longer before it hit him that she was the one who had been in the office when he and Jae had reported in the last time "...Samuru Sanmiitai. Bukijutsu fighter, specializing in knives, tonfa, nunchaku and broad sword...currently, at least. Also, kugutsu." he offered, his voice a thicker heavy that managed to keep a slightly androgynous hint "And I'll be equally abrupt. Give us a summary of you." he countered, his tone blunt but not rude. She'd introduced herself after all....and they were supposedly teammates now. At least for however long this took.

Feeling Samuru's gaze on her, Jae willed herself not to meet his gaze. She didn't want to reveal her inner demons to him just yet. Especially when she had no idea how to resolve her issues. A presence to her left granted the pink haired sage a moment to escape the mounting pressure of Samuru's stare. Looking she stared idly at the unfamiliar woman. This had to be Ivilice. Jae was familiar with who Eclipse was and aside from Samuru and herself this was the extent of the team being sent. Looking away from the woman as quickly as she had given her a wayward attentive glance Jae heard the door open behind her and tensed for a fraction of a second until Eclipse announced her presence. Jae remained silent, looking off to her right. Short summary? Summaries did not give insight to the extent of ones abilities. Jae had met many who had overcome boundaries that words and statistics on paper said they could not overcome but she understood that it was just Eclipse trying to be professional. Just because Jae was irritated at the womans husband did not justify Jae taking it out on her.

It was surprising that Samuru was willing to divulge in himself to Eclipse which helped ease her into her own clipped introduction of her skill set. "Ninjutsu, bloodline specialist." Jae said, being evasive. Usually she couldn't wait to talk but she did not trust herself at the moment. She could break at any second and snap. The pink haired sage did not bother to add that she was a bird sage. If she could help it she would like to keep her friends out of this fight. This wasn't a cause Jae was willing to fight for. Her mind wandered to Emi and Yuusuke, the picture of the two smiling at the camera. Ugh... The pressure to go out and look for Yuusuke returned. It caused Jae's stomach to churn and the woman cringed. This was part of the reason she hadn't eaten much.

Taka listened rather quietly to the three speak. When it was her turn she really didn't say much. She had a problem giving people information about her self, especially since joining the Anbu. So she simply told people the things they should already know." Ivilice Takamatsu, Aburame. Solo operative..."Her gaze shifted to the Inuzuka as her tail wrapped around her own waist a little bit tighter, moving just slightly, adjusting itself like a belt. This was her first time working with a team in over a year and she was called five minutes ago if that. She didn't know the mission but she knew the extent of her abilities. They weren't suited for leaving things alive in combat situations, hence why she was usually solo. It was also the first time in more than two years that she had used her second family name.
