*when june finally regained conciousness, she stood up slowly. limping, she trudged toward's ed's front door, leaning on the wall over his rose garden barrier. her loss of blood slowed, but each rose gained drops of blood on it. she followed the wall to the front porch, holding a white rose in her hand. her blood had gotten on it, staining a petal or two. giving up on waiting for ed to come home, she picked the lock and opened the house, collapsing in the gest room. her arm hung over the side of the guest bed, small streams of blood flowing from her forearms following the curve of the rose stem when it reached it. the blood dripped slowly from the end of a petal*
