[[....alrighty...... I guess I'll improv it...]]

Alice grabbed the beaker containing some strange chemical and gently held it over the flame to watch it change colors and smoke a bit. Taking it off the flame, she added a drop of liquid nitrogen and watched the chemical solidify. All of this was done in a fluid graceful movement, the sounds of Carmen's Habanera playing in her head.

Azumi looked up and caught the googles and aprin. "Hmph...This stuff is ancient.." She said as she looked at the safty equipment in her hands. "And no fun either...Liek the teacher.." SHe said the last part under her breath so no one would hear her except if they were very close to her. "She picked up the aprin and put it on and just set the googles down and made no move to put them on. 'Like im going to put on a pair of smelly googles..'


"Now that everyone has their equipment let's begin." Mr. Boshka said and picked up one of the beakers and filled it with a clear liguid. "Now this chemical is very flamable so dont tur the heat up past 160." He said and then turned on the burner at his desk. "NOw all of you set your heat to 100 degrees exact." He put the beaker on top of the flame and it changed a few differnt colors and a few strands of smoke appeard. "Observe the color of the liguid as it changes and write what you observe on your lab sheet on your desk."

Rhys and Rhea

Rhys and Rhea listened to Mr. Boshka's instructions carefully before beginning their experiment.
Rhys turned the burner on, tweaking the gas flow with a delicate and gentle touch of his fingers. He didn't take his hand from the knob until it was set perfectly.
Rhea watched as her brother adjusted the flame to the best output and waited for the temperature to reach 100 degrees Celsius before gingerly placing the beaker in the holder just above the flame. She took notes on the color change and presence of smoke, watching her brother from the corner of her eye as she did so. He was being surprisingly good.
In fact, Rhys was just content with the manner of the experiment. Granted, it didn't explode like he wanted it to but it still held an interest. Rhys watched the colors of the liquid change through oddly lucid slate eyes.

Valeria came back to the station with a beaker in her hand. She sat it on the table, and put on her smock and goggles. "Alright, here we go." She set up the beaker on the burner. Immediatly it gave off a green-ish smoke. "Huh."

She wrote down 'green smoke @ 100 dgrs.' on the lab sheet. She idlly swirled her fingers through the smoke. She giggled slightly. It tickled. She took her hand out from inside the smoke. Her fingers had a slight green grit on them. That's not good, she thought with a frown. She tried wiping them off on the paper. Didn't come off. She wiped them across her smock. Still didn't come off. "Uhh..." Valeria tentitively raised her stained hand. "Mr. Boshka? Some of the smoke got on my hand and it won't come off..."

Diz



Diz had stood back from the desk, as he had refused to wear the safety gear he figured it was a good idea to observe from a slight distance. He watched as Valeria waved a finger through the oddly green coloured smoke coming from the beaker, he grinned as she struggled to get the green off her finger. It had amused him but his attention quickly faded and his eyes began darting round the room. That when he spotted it, quickly he slipped away from the other two and moved towards the magnesium strips on the counter. Mr. Boshka was distracted now was his chance quickly he grabbed a few strips and stuck them in his pocket and moved back to the two girls quietly.

Me. Boshka looked up at Valeria. "DOnt worry. It will come off in an hour or two." He said and then continued on with his expariment. "After you have answerd all of the questions take the dropper and bottle that are on your desk's and put two drops of it in the beaker." He did this and the liquid turned blue and began to turn into a solid.

Azumie rolled her eyes at Valeria and then stood. up. "I'll be right back." SHe said and took a pencil liek she was going up to sharpen it. SHe walked up to the front of the room and sharppend the pencil and then walked back. When she passed the table where Rhea and Rhy's were sitting he lifted up her hand and turned the heat up past 160 in a fluid motion that no one could have possibly seen. 'Now for the fun part.' She thought as she sat down and the hint of a smirk on her face.

Rhys and Rhea

Rhea was distracted by her note-taking, recording every detail in her observations. She knew that Mr. Boshka didn't require as much detail as she put in, but she figured that it would be good practice for college. That, and Rhea really couldn't help it that much.
Rhys had looked away from the burbling experiment just long enough for Azumi to turn up the heat without his notice. When he looked back, the concoction looked almost as if it was boiling but he didn't think anything of it. Rhys picked up the dropper that Mr. Boshka mentioned and made ready to follow his instructions to drop some of the liquid therein. He was stopped when Rhea suddenly grabbed his arm.
"Drop the liquid from a 90 degree angle, it'll make the measurement more accurate and keep you safe from spillover." She said quietly without looking up from her notes.
"Makes sense." Rhys said with a shrug as he followed his twin's directions.
He watched the mixture for a few moments, soon realizing that it wasn't solidifying as quickly as Mr. Boshka's had. Slight confusion painted Rhys' face as he observed the now violently boiling beaker. He calmly stood up and edged away from the beaker, gently grabbing Rhea by the shoulders.
" 'Like as the waves make toward the pebbled shore.' " Rhys whispered in her ear as he led her away from the table.
Rhea hadn't payed any attention to Rhys, simply glad that he hadn't been acting up. She didn't stop writing when he put his hands on her shoulder, but immediately stood when he spoke. That line, from Shakespeare's Sonnet 60, was a code the two used in potentially dangerous situations. Rhea let Rhys lead her away from the table and not too soon. The mixture in the beaker boiled over, sending scalding hot liquid all over the table. The heat caused the glass to crack and shatter, pieces of glass covering the table. On top of that, the thermometer also broke, letting mercury ooze out onto the table.
"Rhys..." Rhea said softly.
"I swear it's not my fault." Rhys replied to his twin.

[Alice]


As Alice continued her work flawlessly, she suddenly heard a loud hissing and turned to see the chemicals- now at a high temperature- spilling all over the table, and glass breaking everywhere, with mercury joining the chemicals. In defense, she lifted her arms to shield her eyes. As soon as she did, her arm felt a shard of glass penetrate her arm. Wincing, Dahlia turned her back to the class and rolled up her sleeve to see blood slowly dripping from the wound. "s**t." she cussed under her breath. Glancing over her shoulder at the mess, her sunglass-covered eyes roamed up to see the expression on the twins' faces. Sighing a bit, she looked at her arm, and grabbed a paper towel.

Azumi watched as her plan unfolded and went perfectly. She bit her lip to keep from breaking out into laughter. 'That was to easy.' SHe thought as she watched the differnt liquids spill off the table and onto the floor. 'But highly amusing.'

Mr. Boshka looked up suddenly as the glass broke. "Everyone move away from the table." He instructed as he went over to make sure the twins were okay. "ARe you two alright?" He asked as he looked at the mess on the table.

Diz



Diz had once again stopped paying attention to the experiment and the two girls he was supposed to be working with, instead he allowed his imagination to take over and was daydreaming. He was suddenly snapped out of his daydream as one of the other groups experiments had gone wrong and their beaker had exploded. Diz couldn't help himself but to grin and he wanted to take a closer look but figured drawing attention to himself would probably be a bad idea. Diz leaned back against the wall with his arms folded and his eyes closed as he listened to the sounds of the people around him still unable to take the grin off his face.

Rhys and Rhea

Rhys tensed slightly when Mr. Boshka walked over to their table, fully prepared to get blamed and yelled at for the accident. However, Mr. Boshka only seemed to be concerned for his and Rhea's well-being, a lucky break in his eyes. Rhys merely nodded in response, his hands still on his sister's shoulders.
Rhea didn't know what to think about the beaker explosion, she couldn't think of anything that had been done wrong. All she could think of was that Rhys had turned the temperature up to get a faster result, but his reaction to the situation told her otherwise. He may have been a little too enamored with fire and explosions, but careless when handling chemicals he was not. Relief washed over Rhea when Mr. Boshka inquired of their condition, rather than immediately blaming her brother.
"We're fine sir. But I don't know how far the glass might have gone, we should at least check the surrounding area on cleanup." She replied, still slightly shaken but pretty well-off considering the situation.

"Good." Mr. Boshka said and nodded before turning to speak to the class. "This is what happens when you dont follow the rules. Even though it might not be your fault and it just hapens, People can get severly hurt." He said and looked at Azumi's table directly.


"And that would be bad. Right. Mr.Boshka?" Azumi said and had an innocent look on her face despite her being the person to cause the accident.

"Indeed it would." He said and turned back to the class. "Is everyone alright?"

[Alice]


Alice bit her lip and ripped out the shard of glass in her arm. She made a small pained noise right as Mr. Boshka asked if anybody was hurt. Looking over at him, she held the paper towel to the bleeding wound. "U-um Mr. Boshka..." Alice held up her hand.

Me. Boshka looked over at Alice and walke dover to her. He looked at the deep cut in her arm in concern. "Well...That looks liek a pretty deep cut you have there." He said and tok her arm gently and began to examin it. "Well I cant do anythign about it but...You should go to the nurses ofice to have it cleaned out and wrapped and check to make sure you didnt puncture any major veins or anything." He turned twords Rhys then. "Rhys...If you would be so kind as to escort Alice here to the nurses office to make sure she doesnt faint from blood loos please."


Azumi smiled wickedly once she saw Alices cut. "Perfect.." She whisperd, happy that someone had gotten hurt. (and pretty badly too by the looks of it.)

Rhys and Rhea

The expression Rhys made in response to Mr. Boshka's comment could only be described as that of a moose caught in the headlights of a truck, surprised but by no means concerned for one's well-being. He hesitated for a few moments before a reassuring touch from Rhea's hand reached him, prompting him to help Alice.
"Ok.." Rhys replied, a little quietly.
He walked with Alice out of the room, hating how much he could feel the staring of the other students.
Rhea was a little bemused as to why Mr. Boshka had asked Rhys to escort Alice, he didn't know his way around the school yet. However, she knew that he needed to get out of the situation as soon as humanly possible. Rhea nonverbally told her brother to follow the teacher's instructions with a simple touch of her hand and watched as he escorted Alice out of the room.
He'll be alright She assured herself.
