Carnival of the Damned [Closed for the season]

When the woman spoke it was hard not to believe what Lee had said, but she was beginning to feel like he was a little rough. "Yes, very believable." she responded to the girl before totally out of the area. Soraya really hoped Lee wasn't this blunt and rough all the time, hoping that it was just her question asking that got to him.

Caw, caw. Was that a vulture, flying low over their heads?
Amberlynn shook her head, ensuing that her already wind-blown hair covered her flushed face even more so; she had to be strong and be fearless. It was only a carnival, what was she so afraid about? It was only a carnival ... right?
Meanwhile, Secret looked just about ready to explode from anticipation of games and rides, maybe a stuffed plushie or two. So as soon as she saw the malicious and creepy looking enterance (the appearance of which she disregarded for some reason or another) she quickly let go of her mother's hand and rocketed towards the gate. Amberlynn herself was still in the process of chastising herself for being such a baby when her three-year old daughter bravely approached the situation, but in the slightly belated realization that her daughter had left her side she ran after the tiny little girl.
What if she didn't find her?
The vulture from a few minutes cawed again, and then she saw another one join in by it's side. She shivered, whether or not it was from the breeze and her revealing dress, jogging now as she saw a patch of yellow by the gate.
But when she was close enough to grab the fabric, she didn't catch a squealing and giggling three-year-old.
She caught a disembodied human arm.


Mommy, will there be a Merry-Go-Round and an arcade and games and balloons and pony rides?
Yes, sweetheart, I'm sure there will be.
Amberlynn was carrying her daughter now, not wanting to risk losing her again and finding ...
The little girl squirmed relentlessly, looking around with undisguised interest, as she kept an eye out for games so her mother walked slowly. They passed a fortune-telling booth ('Mommy, maybe we can go in there. Grandma told me once that a fortune teller told her that she would ... um, I don't remember,') and also passed a cage. Amberlynn thought she was going to retch when she saw the animal inside.

Thank goodness Secret already had her eyes on something else and had started shrieking in elation right about then.
Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! It's a test-your-strength booth! Please, please, please, please, puh-leeze?
The eerie sound of vultures cawing still echoed in her head like a broken record, but Amberlynn released Secret from her arms and the girl went running.
Now normally there was a long line of egocentric young men looking to impress anyone nearby. Sometimes in a long line Amberlynn used her good looks and flirtatious ways to get her to the front of the line, but because there was no line the young woman felt no need. She didn't really even see any men yet, she had seen a few shapes of people by that animal's (shudder) cage but she hadn't looked long enough to detect who (or what) they were.
The redhead caught up to her daughter just in time to hear her ask with curiousity and a bit of impatience, Hello? Anybody home?
Amberlynn looked around. They were a little farther away from the cage they had passed, which was no doubt a relief, but ... ?
Secret, no!
Secret had picked up the Hercules-sized mallet (or was struggling to, it weighed much more than she did) and was providing accurate sound effects such as ow and ooof.
And of course, being three and therefore able to make her own decisions (did she want strawberry or vanilla ice cream?) Secret didn't listen to her mother and repeated her previous question a little louder now.
Hello? Anybody home?

Shaking his head Lee didn't really say much but offer the girl who had spoken a small look over his shoulder. Human disbelief at things that were true infront of them was staggering. "I don't do it I just go with it" he said gruffly as he stood there for a moment. She was blond making it already logical that even with a larger vocabulary she was an air head. Turning he gave another tug to the blind girl's arm as he walked away towards the area where his show would be at.

Soraya noted the roughness, "Could you please be a little nicer with my arm, your grip is very tight and it's quite painful." she commented. She didn't mind the escort but the fashion he was doing it in was absurd, no need to be so rough on someone as fragile as her.

Her question came with his grip loosening as he walked his pace slowly somewhat as he started to calm down. The question's had put him in a angered state and it was taking him just a bit to calm down from it. Taking a breath he exhaled slowly less from need and more from his normal way to calm down some. Breathing much like most body function's was something a vampire had shed after it's transforming. He offered no apology to the girl tho simply letting go of her hand as they arrived at the place. "Here it is" he said his voice having gone back to being relaxed.

Soraya bowed her head in respect, "Thank you for the escort here, I am truly grateful. I'm sure it will be a wonderful show, I hope to speak with you again. Next time with less questions." she offered. Soraya felt her way around the crowded area until she found an empty seat and managed to squeeze in, she got weird looks about the way she moved to find her seat but of course she couldn't tell.

Well, that man seemed certainly looked to be in a sour mood. Rosemarie couldn't fault him for it, though, since this was probably a rather stressful job in itself. Of course, to be fair, he could also simply be a hard a**. Pushing such thoughts away, she glanced back at the 'cannibal' once more before looking about, absently wondering if she should go see his preformance or not. There was still plenty to do around here, right?

It was incredible to think that she was growing more insane by the minute. Karma walked back and forth in front of a random booth trying to think of something to do before she lost her mind. It was boring since people were..just boring here. She continued walking to the huge tent where Lee was about to go on and mumbled to herself of what she could do to entertain herself. Though she had her act coming up, she was still horribly bored.

To take her mind off of it a bit, Karma thought of what she could do in her act though she could simply wing it since she used her dark magic to amaze the stupid crowd. She placed her hands on her face and walked into the tent and simply walked down the steps with ease before sitting down in the front and letting her hands fall to her lap. She let out a dramatic sigh as she plopped back and leaned against the seat behind her as she stared up at the tarp above. "Why must today be incredibly boring?" she asked herself as she sat up straight and waited for the show to start. Normally she watched from her booth with her crystal ball...but she didn't have that crystal ball anymore.

[Urp, I'll try my best. Karma just got her revenge on some NPCs for breaking her crystal ball and Lee got a free meal. Almost everybody decided to go and bother Cain xD. I believe Nick, Faye, Adrian, and Umada are near the entrance talking. Amberlynn and Secret are near the strength test booth thingamajigger, looking for it's employee. Can't quite remember what happened with everyone else. ._. Sorry if I failed so hard. Not in the best shape. Derpasaur's got me again. ]

Seeing another body being dragged in, Cain immediately clamped down on the body, using all of his might to pull the body in for another meal. He was going to be eating a lot tonight. Of course he tried to jump out before Lee had closed the bars tight, but the chains held him back and he yelped lightly. Cain growled and nuzzled into his shoulder to ease the pain. At least he got his meal Cain thought as he ate, looking a little glum. The head wasn't even there. So far, he hadn't gotten any of his favorite parts, and all these usually came in pieces. It wasn't fun at all. The way the victims squirmed as he he bit into their flesh, the fresh blood oozing out, the crunch of bones breaking under his teeth and the screams of the helpless. At least the body was still fresh and the blood still warm. He licked his lips that were dyed crimson and looked up to more fresh meat that looked and stared at him in disgust, horror, and sometimes amusement. It certainly looked real enough to be 'real'. How couldn't it be? Even dyed cornsyrup couldn't get this real, not even if it tried.

Whilst she was beside Cain's cage, cravings took the opportunity to strike. She felt like targeting... a child. Yes... The sweet and untainted blood of a child. Lucille left the tent before Cain's meal had been brought in and walked towards the food stalls. Once she was in the center of it all, Lucille held out her scythe and blew a stream of fire at it. The fire she blew was juxtaposed to the flames that were crackling and licking the carnival food. Its color, just like her appearance, was far form normal.

It was green.

The green flames latched themselves onto the blade as she twirled and performed hypnotizing acrobatic moves. Lucille noticed that she was attracting quite a crowd. Good, she thought. This was going just as planned.

Grabbing a handful of her flames, she flashed the crowd a smile before swallowing it. 'Ooh's and 'Ahh's resounded in the crowd as they clapped whilst wearing an expression of awe. Lucille bowed, flashed them a smile, and took off.

Standing in a rather secluded area of the carnival, she waited. Her shows weren't just for their entertainment. It was meant for something much more sinister and selfish. During her performance, she had made eye contact with her targets. The acrobatic moves that people described as hypnotizing were actually movements that a dragon used to entice prey. It would only work if they were caught under the dragon's gaze. Luckily for her, two cute little children were heading her way.

Lucille licked her lips in anticipation as the sound of hurried footsteps approached the area she was in. Two small figures slinked in and gave her a smile. They had blonde and a blue eyes. Pretty... They must be twins.. The duo suddenly ran towards Lucille and hugged her waist.

With a flick of her scythe, two circular objects fell on the floor. Decapitation. One of her least favorite ways of ending a life. Lucille sigh before tucking the two heads under her arms and wrapping her tail around the corpses. She discreetly flew away from the carnival. The night did a good job of preventing anyone from discovering her. Once she had reached a river not too far from the carnival, Lucille dropped the bodies on the bank and phased into her dragon form. Submerging her tail in the river, Lucille dug into her meal whilst humming in satisfaction.

Heading away from where he was at Lee headed back stairs and changing. His outfit was nothing more then black jeans and a hoodie. Unlike most he didn't see a reason to dress up in fancy clothing to do his act. The lights in the tent went out for a moment before coming back on he was standing ontop of the platform looking down at the people below. How small and insignificant each of them seemed a small crowd tonight for the show as he ran and jumped from the platform. His jump was well over a normal human's length as he reached out his hands wrapping around a trapeze that had started moving spinning on it and launching himself to the next one in an eerie fashion his movement's silent save for the sound of the wood and metal when he touched it or let go of it.

His act continued for awhile longer as he finally ended with a large swing sending him up into the shadow's of the top of the tent. After a few moment's he came spinning down rapidly breaking the spin off just as he reached and grabbed one of the trapeze slowing his fall for a moment before letting it go. A large amount of gasps filled the air as he fell towards the ground simply head first. This as usual was a part of his act as he twisted hitting the ground without a sound or an injury in a small bow as cheer's started to fill the tent. What a joke of a performance he had simply put together after finding out about it being a carnival. It didn't matter tho as he lifted his eyes up staring straight at Soraya.

I'm afraid he's not there Serrenedy said from behind Amberlynn and Secret. You see, the show under the big top just started, I was heading there myself. She was dressed in 'clown attire' headpiece on atop the hair of her secondary form. Her trenchcoat open wide to show off her shirt, pants and boots. I can take you to the main tent if you wish. She smiled, eyes locked onto Amberlynn's face. Then perhaps I can take you back to my tent. I'm one of the fortune tellers here. Her head tilted as she observed the woman carefully. I always have a free fortune for a pretty young thing She glanced down at Secret, appraising her slightly. Se smiled and sank to her knees in front of the little girl. I can tell your fortune too sweetheart. After the show of course. I can see already see that you're going to grow up lovely inside and out.

Aeon wandered into the carnival, toning down her Luminesce. She knew that it confused the people and she didn't like confusing them, at least not before she put her hands on them. She stroked a temporal rift and sucked it in, then let a little shudder go through her body. It was a tiny one, but lovely all the same. Then she started looking around for people. She found a pretty one and touched her, letting the Luminesce through. She giggled as the pretty woman gasped and made noises. The noises were so... so lovely. Aeon dropped the woman when she stopped making noises. And then she moved on.

Karma sat there like all the rest and reacted the same way as everyone just for the fun of it. Towards the end she had lost some interest and pulled out some of her voodoo dolls since she was looking for something else in her bag. Once she found it she began putting them away then glanced up the same moment she grabbed Lee's voodoo doll. Her eyes followed his and saw that he was staring at some blind girl that she saw him with earlier. For a moment she found herself gripping the doll rather tightly but quickly let go. Unfortunatly, when she had done that, she had actually made it so that the voodoo doll was in effect so Lee was sure to feel the pressure of her grip around his upper body. Only a certain number of people were Karma's "possessions" such as Cain and even Serrenedy, Lee was in the border line of that category.

Before he could locate she she was, she clapped her hands and vanished in a cloud of smoke, the people around her shocked and amazed at the same time. In the middle of the area stood a podium where she reappeared as Lee was making his way out. The focus was now on her though she wasn't much in a good mood anymore, in fact she was in a very bitter and angry mood, her act reflecting that. It consisted of a lot of fire and explosions, though the crowed was loving it. Everything was becoming overwhelming since she was thinking of the doll incident earlier and the whole crystal ball breaking, her anger no longer simmering in her very core, but boiling. The small tornadoes that she created out of fire began to fuse together and became a whole lot bigger, and she was far too close, ready to be consumed by her own fire. The audiance simply thought it was the act but Karma was no struggling to keep herself away from it as well as trying to keep it under control. The act suddenly turned from awe to comedy in the eyes of the humans since she was stumbling about and tried to extinguish the fire but failed to do so. Her anger from the core of her body was keeping the fire going, if she didn't calm down, everything would go wrong in a matter of minutes.
