xxxxx Ĉiela is a rather sweet mare who has had a tough life from the get go. Her mother shuns her for her unicorn traits and it’s wounded her deeply for a long time. Causing her to look for her acceptance wherever she can. This has led to her leaving her first home with her mother and her sister, who is much more favored than herself. Though she has a clear reason to not enjoy being around her mother, she still vies for her acceptance. Wants her mother to tell her that she is amazing exactly the way that she is. Though this dream is still very far off, it doesn’t stop her from at least trying to do what she can. Her sister is much more loved by her mother than herself and this is often a source of ill will for Ĉiela. She wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to her sister, but she is sure that the jealousy that she feels is apparent enough to make it uncomfortable to be around her sister all the time. Though she will still visit her and spend time with her. After all, it’s not her sister’s fault that their mother hates her for her unicorn traits. For now though, she has found a small place in the Noble Valley Herd. Enjoying the others who are in the herd while she tries to find her place in the world.
Beyond her unsure place within her family, she is a rather sweet but kind of shy mare. She enjoys going out of her way to help others. Often finding it rather soothing to hear the thanks from the random Soquili that need her help. The ones that she helps can more often be found within her herd, but she is not against helping those she finds on her outings in the world itself. The things that she does are usually pretty simple, but she doesn’t think that simple things should be put off just because they are simple. Even the easiest things are better with help after all! Typically she does not enjoy doing things that will get her feathers mussed or dirty though. A mare should always look after her appearance after all. And she feels that one of the ways she might gain her mother's acceptance is a bit in her appearance.
Ĉiela can be rather aloof when she meets new Soquili. Her nervousness can be see in her eyes darting about and how she clicks her beak when she is talking to new Soquili. She doesn’t really enjoy getting too friendly with those she has just met. It takes a lot to actually gain her acceptance and her trust. This isn’t to say that she is stuck up or doesn’t like to meet anyone new, she simply doesn’t trust others easily. This is something else she is simply jaded with because of her mother. It makes it difficult for her to feel that others can see her for who she is and actually accept who she is. If her own mother couldn’t see her as the beauty she should be, why is it that someone else would be able to see. Because of this she really needs friends who can be around her and move past her barriers to who she is inside of it all. To who she is going to become.
The one joy in life that she has is flying high up in the sky and bathing in the sunlight above the clouds. When she is up in the sky like that, she feels that no one can touch her. That nothing can possibly bring her back down to the ground. Nothing can make her feel bad when her body and heart are so light. All of the bad things that happen to her seem to melt away when the breeze above the clouds caresses her fur and feathers. She will really need someone who can make her feel the same way while she has all four feet on the ground. That high is something that she feels she needs in her life and in her heart. The clouds and fresh air clear her mind and soul.
Ĉiela can be a rather self centered and self serving mare when it comes down to it. She simply needs to be put into a position where she feels her wants or needs should be considered above anyone else who are in the situation. This doesn't mean that she is mean, she simply feels like she needs to look out for herself over others every once in awhile. Naturally she feels that there are plenty of others who do the same very so often. She can also be seen as a bit of a diva, caring about if her feathers are in the proper place and nice and clean. She will even dress herself up if need be. Within everything she doesn’t always end up doing the right thing for those around her, but she certainly tries to at least be honest to herself and with those around her. No matter what that might mean.
Her temper can be a bit off putting for someone if they have never met her before. The anger that boils up usually comes out in a lot of huffing or yelling, but she doesn’t get physical or really fly off the handle when she gets angry. She just prefers to fume and try to get her point across to whomever it is that is irritating her. When it comes down to it, she will fight. It’s what claws are for after all. But she would have to be in a serious situation where she was cornered and there was no possible way out. This hasn’t happened to her yet, and she thanks her lucky stars for it. But if it came down to it, one would not want to be on the other end of her claws and beak.

xxxxx Ĉiela has had a rather rocky past all in all. She was both the way she was, but her own mother has never really accepted her. It's led to her not having much confidence in her own abilities since she was little. This has really caused her more emotional distress than anything else. But her sister, who her mother prefers over herself, has always tried to help her. Has always tried to be friends with her no matter what. It really is a difficult situation at home for her. She could never possibly imagine her life different in some way.

xxxxx Naftílos is pretty adventurous when it comes down to it! He loves going off and exploring anything and everyplace he can possibly fit his shell into! Though this need to explore everything he can does tend to get him stuck in some rather strange places. Other Soquili will often find him stuck in various caves all over the ocean. Of course his getting stuck isn't because he wants to, he just simply underestimates the size of his shell more times than he would care to admit. Even more than going around and adventuring, he enjoys meeting anyone and everyone under the oceans! He travels above and beyond what most Soquili would even consider in their wildest dreams. He simply can't help it, he needs to find anything and everything he can!
Besides just being adventurous and brave, Naftílos is very kind and gentle as well. He enjoys sharing everything he can with his friends and family alike! His favorite way to share with others is to gift his new friends with something that he thinks they will love and will remind them of their friendship with him. These things are usually various colors and sizes of rocks, shells, and corals. He matches the colors and shapes to the specific friend he is giving them to, wanting to make sure that they appreciate it with all they can. He even decorates his home caves all over the ocean with potential future gifts for friends. He even collects his treasures from all over the ocean as well. Though he isn't as attached to the items as most other Soquili probably would be. He has them only to give them away.
Though adventure is his main thing, he does enjoy a good relaxing day as well. Just drifting with the current and letting the day take you as it will is just sometimes the best thing you can do with your day. On these days he does prefer to be left alone as well. It simply doesn't make the day as relaxing if all kinds of things are going on while you are trying to relax. It's simply not even possible! On these relaxing days he also tends to like to actually collect the things he stores away for others. It's usually best to collect these things while relaxing too. That way he can look at them and decide which ones are the best to keep!
Naftílos doesn't have an angry bone in his body. If he were ever to get angry, it would certainly be something to behold. He would need to have someone be downright despicable in order for him to even raise his voice. Though even that wouldn't be a guarantee in the end. He really just finds it impossibly hard to get angry about anything.

xxxxx Naftílos didn't really have anything terrible happen in his life, even up to his current history. His parents moved away after he was old enough to be on his own, since they dreamed of living elsewhere. He visits them from time to time as well. He has three siblings and two more on the way the last he knew. Only one is his own shell mate though. Two more were born before his parents decided to move away as well. The only ones he doesn't know yet are the ones that haven't decided to pop! His siblings are a bit different from him as well. His sisters are all rather prim and proper, which is actually different from their parents as well. But being proper isn't a bad thing. They tend to simply observe a lot more courtesies than he or his parents do.
His childhood was full of adventure though! Always going out when his parents would tell him not to and exploring everything he possibly could in his small home. He even enjoyed sharing his findings with his sisters. Often times bringing them back some pretty little things that he finds anyplace he goes and adventures. He's never sure what his sisters did with most of the things, but there are several that they made into various forms of jewelry. It's actually how one of his sisters makes her living!

xxxxx Shelke is not one to be trifled with. To some she may look sweet on the outside, but her temper can be vicious when set upon someone deserving. The deserving party isn't limited to strangers either, she will do what she can to get what she wants no matter who she has to step on to get it. Some might see this as cruel, but it's simply pragmatics. Anyone who thinks of something as such logically and calmly as she does, should always come through the same conclusion. If they don't, well they aren't worth the breath to explain it to.
Even though she tends to be more cold than anything else, she will give advice to those that ask it of her. She considers it her duty to make sure that others hear what she says if they so choose. Those that seek out her advice should be careful though. If she gets wind that you didn't heed her words, or simply ignored her outright when she gives you advice from the kindness of her cold heart, you will hurt for it. Not only because her advice tends to be spot on about things. But she will never say a kind word to that other again. This includes considering giving them advice ever again. After all, if they didn't listen the first time, they certainly aren't going to listen now. She takes all of this into consideration.
Getting what she wants. This is a large part of who Shelke is. Her cold and calculating nature makes it hard for her to trust others, as well as others trusting her. After all, it's a two way street. This doesn't bother her too much though. If others don't want to get stepped on, they will simply stay out from under her claws. Or at least if they actually know what's good for her they will. This lesson can actually take a few stabs to get through more stubborn Soquili's heads, but eventually it sets in for everyone. She will do anything it takes to get ahead in life. No one will stop her.
Though many wouldn't believe it, she does have a sweet side. This is simply buried deep under her cold exterior and is really only shown to mares that she takes an interest in. These mares should consider themselves lucky to even be noticed by her. Her favorites being taken in and doted upon to the fullest extent. From time to time, she will take a rather feminine stallion into her nest of beauties. These treks don't tend to last though, the stallions always end up being too much in some way or another. Not that she can't handle them, but they get a bit too interested in her girls. She can't have something like that happening when such things should know their place in life.
One thing she would never want another to know is her love and joy of sculpting. If one were to see her creations they could consider themselves truly trusted and under the greatest strain of being gotten rid of. The things that she creates with her claws are her soul being open wide and molded into something she can look at. Something she can try and figure out. This is actually an important step in her keeping up her shield. Anyone who gets past this shield should watch their back.
Shelke is cold and calculation above all else. But get her mad enough and the claws will come out to the full extent. They will be vicious and they will not stop until the thing that she has turned them on is gone. Being aware around her will certainly save everyone who could be involved the hassle of such a thing happening.
