I didn't really see much mention of that that I can recall. Why ARE these two sides fighting, what are they hoping to accomplish? Lol, you struck the nail on the head with that one. No one knows why. As we've already noticed, fights are breaking out largely for no reason, and it wouldn't be fair for someone to k.o. your Betamon before u have a chance to do anything in the RP with it. I suggest taking a sideline seat like me, and just watch the action as it unfolds.

As far as the blood spread and such. I think that stems in part from the Villians frustration of immortal good guys. You know how if a villian is defeated he dies, but if a good guy dies a clever plot device revives him before the end of the week. Granted villians can return.... just as robotic clones of themselves.

Luckily for me, like the U.S. during the beginning of WWII, it's not my problem. emotion_dealwithit Well I think more or less, they are fighting because they are opposing entities normally, the three attributes aren't really a balanced triangle, Vaccince and Virus are typically two opposing force, and data is just there, it is the in between, the neutral(Switzerland) group, however in some games they are balanced, data beats vaccince, vaccine beats virus, and virus beats vaccince, but in the actual digital world I would almost garuntee you that vaccine and virus are constantly at each others throats. I think this event is just another one of those Virus vs Vaccine battle that probably happens every other hour in the digital world, but on a much larger scale, as much as I have seen, there is no motivation to this, it's just another battle.

Well, my character doesn't want to influence the play/movie playing before him, but if you character gets into trouble, it would be in his nature to pull you out. Sadly, this would be reactionary. So, it would require you putting you RPC in danger of someone like Dax or Tamake himself.
