[~yeah whatever >.>]
Coil stepped into the the animus headquarters and was instantly 'greeted' by Chromes voice piercing his ears "wow, you wanna put a sock in it?" He said as he threw himself onto the couch "ah...." He let out as he sank deeper into the sofa. It seemed like nobody else was awake at the moment, but then again it was ridiculously early in the morning, if you could even call it morning...

"No! I'll have you know I studied voice~" Chrome said with the typical flamboyant gestures. She placed a dainty hand on her chest and began to sing voice exercises in a high register. "Mi mi mi mi mi mi mi mi~", she cooed like a Disney princess in an overrated movie. Cue the imaginary glass-shattering. She then strode towards the coffeemaker, excited for the smell of that first cup that one simply cannot get out of their heads. One could argue though that her voice may prove better than an alarm clock.

Coil cringed when her voice got higher and higher, he grabbed a nearby pillow and stuffed his face into it "just end my misery!" He said as he smothered himself. He tossed the pillow aside "so, want to fill me on what happened after I departed?" He asked her, referring to last nights battle.

"Oh~! It was terrible!", Chrome said feigning the look of a distressed damsel, placing the back of her hand on her forehead. "Both boss and that rude, shrewd Barbus leader were sent flying and both sides had to retreat!" Well, she wasn't about to say that she caused the 'flying' part though. One simply does not let out all their dirty laundry for all to see.

Coild gave her an empty stare as she did her typical exaggerated gestures "well...not axe toy a victory, but not a loss either" he said with a shrug. He jumped off the couch and went to the counter, he could use a cup of coffee himself "any new recruits "at least tell me we had some sucess recruiting new troops" he said as he grabbed a mug.

"No", Chrome said with an irritated twitch of the eyebrow and a scowl on that otherwise lovely face. She then lit up enthusiastically in the next second, "Oh, but VoltEdge! Now we know that it's a she, and what she looks like. I'm sure the recruit will be easy-peasy the next time around!" She mused, humming a happy tune, remembering that escaped experiment and how menacing it would be if she were on Animus' side.

"Voltedge..." Coil repeated quietly, his mind thinking back to the short battle they had, and how she had almost killed him, he feared the idea of having her on Animus side...but then again it would be better then having her be with Barbus "yes I'm sure you'll be able to charm her into joining Animus" he said as he patted her on the head.

"Good morning..." Serene greeted Voltedge, walking in with a tray, on it was bowl of instant noodles, a cup of water, and chopsticks. "I'm sorry, but I don't know how to cook. I also hate cereals." She've put the tray on the table besides the bed. The food looks nice, Serene added a combination of fish and vegetables to make it balanced in nutrients and protein. She pointed at the tray and did the 'eating pose' to tell VoltEdge to eat. The day before, after the escape from the battle, Serene took VoltEdge to the library, she was going to teach her a few words before noticing that she dozed off. At the back of the library were a few spare rooms used to keep documents and archives. Serene renovated some of them into beautiful rooms, though it looks ominous in the eyes of strangers, it will shine it's radiance when it has light. Serene created dark figures to lift VoltEdge and carried her into one of the rooms. She looked through some words that she can teach VoltEdge, then finally dozed off too. Seeing VoltEdge's eyes, Serene pointed to the ground and presented VoltEdge a book, trying to convey that they are now in the library. She was about to walk out of the room again but she wondered if VoltEdge knows how to eat. She walked back to sit on an antique chair, just in case VoltEdge doesn't eat she can finish the noodle herself.

Chrome pouted when Coil patted her head like one does a child. "Heeey! Are you mocking me?", she asked begrudgingly although the light in her eyes suggested she was not really angry but only feigning it. She had been used to Coil's antics by now and while she doesn't feel like she had warmed up to it all too much, she got used to it and found it okay since he was an Animus member anyway.
VoltEdge looked at the food hungrily. Her eyes wandered from the noodles to the fish to the vegetables. She then looked at the chopsticks but knew not what they were for. The primal instincts in her welled up so even if this was not bread-like compressed food substance backed up with several vitamin supplements (a food experiment she was subjected to) or dextrose injections, she recognized from the smell that it was food that could regenerate her as much as pure electricity. She drank the soup from the bowl, picking up the occasional noodle and shoving it into her mouth ungracefully. She then proceeded to try the fish and vegetables. The vegetables, she automatically rejected but she ate the fish with the noodles, finding them to be a good combination together. She looked then cautiously at Serene, looking for an expression on the girl's face as a reaction to what she did. She recognized 'expressions' because most often, if she did something not liked by the lab personnel, she would either be electrocuted or beaten -- more on beaten by the last few days in the facility since her power to absorb electricity developed even more when she was tazed or subjected to certain voltages.

"Next time you need to wash your hands before picking up food." Serene wiped VoltEdge's hand with hand wipes and proceeded to dry it with normal tissue. She'll teach her the words later, right now VoltEdge needs to learn how to use chopsticks and a faucet. She wondered where VoltEdge was from, it might be related to the model number that glowed yesterday but she isn't so sure. Untill VoltEdge knows how to speak, she won't know either. Right now she needs to be patient, the place VoltEdge was from might not have these things or they work differently, Serene will carefully work this out. She looked at the bowl to find the fish, noodles, and soup completely gone, only the vegetables left. Wherever VoltEdge was from, the vegetables hate is still there, at least that is still the same. She sighed and used the chopsticks to pick the vegetables up and presented it to VoltEdge, she nodded to her, vegetables are important especially to people who control pure energy like electricity. She wasn't sure if that was true either, but she remembered reading it from some book. As she was giving VoltEdge the vegetables, Serene wondered how to teach VoltEdge. Since she was born, she has never teached anyone, never. She was usually impatient and hot headed, but that was a long time ago. Spending time in Verone reading books calmed her down a bit, actually, a lot. To the point she earned the name of Severina, the stern. Her thoughts went back to the present, trying to make VoltEdge eat the vegetables.

VoltEdge pouted at first but when Serene insisted on feeding her the vegetables, she shook her head with her eyebrows wrinkled, insistent on not wanting to eat vegetables. Of course, she did this too back at the lab (which earned her some pretty nasty punishments) but hey, stubbornness was a part of who she was. The markings on her shoulder were faint. One could barely notice them in daylight. They were only ever exceptionally clear when they glowed from all the electricity that flowed through the girl's body, which right now wasn't very prominent. VoltEdge continued shaking her head and almost backing away from Serene when the girl tried to feed her the vegetables. It was only a matter of will that she hadn't attempted to zap the girl from this annoying display of 'You-eat-your-vegetables-young-lady'. She only remembered that yesterday, Serene had gestured that electricity was wrong. Besides, this was the first and only girl to try to converse with her. A friendly. One must not simply zap one's friend. Unless of course one is an unsociable monster created for purposes of war -- which was essentially, what VoltEdge was.
((OOC: Except for the vegetables, you practically described yesterday's dinner for me. Down to the instant noodles though my fish were dried =3= ))

Serene gave up and stuffed them into her mouth instead. Even though they taste bad, they make you healthy was the thought Serene had in mind while eating them. Serene placed the glass of water next to VoltEdge, as she was gathering things onto the tray, she tried to search VoltEdge's arm for a model number, she couldn't find it. She pointed to the glass of water and walked to the kitchen, this part of the library was also included in Serene's renovations. The appliances are completely new, making it even harder for Serene to cook something. She washed the bowl and chopsticks and put it in the dishwasher, pushing random buttons. Then she walked back to VoltEdge. She has an idea now, first, she'll teach VoltEdge the words of objects by taking her out for a 'tour' of Verone. The best assistance in teaching are images, these are the best way to memorize something. She pointed to the door and motioned VoltEdge to come down from the bed. She is going to teach her how to use a faucet before heading out. ((Yep, I was eating something like that last Saturday. So much for my limited cooking skills. Bland and a little yuck but rich in nutrients (I think...) XD It's midnight here now, so I'll need to go sorry.))

Danica Lucian sighed as she unlocked the back door of Starlite Starbrite, the little craft shop she owned, and turned off the alarm. She and her parents had been lucky that neither their home nor the shop had been touched during the battle the day before. Thank goodness for the little things. Danica opened up the register, double checking that she'd left a hundred dollars in the tray last night, and crossed the shop floor to switch the sign on the door from "Closed" to "Open." Then she got to work setting up shop for the day. Putting things in order and making sure the shelves were all neat and tidy. Just another thing to be thankful for: even having Starlite Starbrite at all. It wasn't originally her shop. It was her mother's--well, adoptive mother's. The Lucians weren't really her parents. They'd taken her in after an accident had taken her memories of life before her twentieth birthday. They treated her like their own child, and she loved them as much as she hoped she had loved her birth parents.

The events from the previous day all seemed to be a bit of a blur to Phoebe. She remembered strands of it, small flickers of clear images in an otherwise murky pool of mixed feelings.
With a sigh the blue haired woman scooped up the last shards of glass from the floor, her landlord was not going to be happy with the windows being destroyed (again).
Tipping the dustpan up into a black bag Phoebe flopped on the sofa, pinching the bridge of her nose in an attempt to stave off an on coming headache. She remembered Armand's voice, cold, commanding and so like her fathers. She remembered the cold fear that settled in her stomach at the sound of that voice once more. It would surly be a long time before Armand decided to bother with her and maybe after all that transpired between the three maybe he would think of her as an enemy.
Lurching forward Phoebe rolled off the sofa with a loud thud. Sitting around was only making her headache worse, besides she had promised Trent he could come over today something that, after a quick glance around the still destroyed apartment, wasn't going to go to well (especially if he found out what had gone on).
Heaving a sigh she grabbed her coat off the peg near the front door and shoulder her backpack. After yesterdays fiasco she was taking no chances and Thorn-edge had been stored safely away in a small, hidden compartment of the bag. Hopefully she could head her brother off before he got to close to notice the damage to the apartment and take him out for tea and cake instead.

Vincent (Verloren) was at his day job, seeming as calm and joyful as usual. He spoke of 'great ideals' while putting forth plans in order to promote himself further into society. He thought of the blue haired hero, and a small smirk appeared on his face. He did nothing more then give her a small kiss on the forehead and bring her back home, but part of him doubted she would remember that. He would have to dispose of that annoying man who was with her though. He moved through the day with ease, and when it was time for him to go home, he changed back into Verloren and headed to the Barbus base, and took painkillers for his terrible headache before visiting with Jokerkind.
