Click to show.Virgil was entirely oblivious to what was going on around him after he’d fallen asleep although he still made a noise in the back of his throat when his hair was touched. The only time the motion wouldn’t excite him and he was no where close to being awake to enjoy it. He was lost in the beautiful black void of consciousness. If he was capable of thought just then he would have realized how much missed the deep, death-like sleep that getting trashed could bring where he was safe from the memories of his abhorrent past. When the Vicodin and rum finally made its way out of his system a couple hours later, the beast was blessedly spared from anything nightmarish. His mind rested a for while longer before it began to conjure dreams. They were just as alien to him as the nightmares were, these peaceful and pleasant scenes his brain created. Sure, the things he and Marcel did in them were mundane as all hell, but to the former bounty hunter they were enjoyable. Or perhaps mundane was a word the world used for activities they took for granted such as grocery shopping with a loved one. Virgil was mostly unaware of what was happening in these snippets of dreams and wouldn’t remember them until things seemed to solidify on one point. Cooking some meal with Marcel while they traded their usual tongue-in-cheek, smart-a** banter. Though the tone of everything soon changed when he caught the smaller man’s voice becoming somber with the way he said his pet-name. He turned around to look at him and inquire what was wrong, but he wouldn’t never get his answer. A malformed hand tipped with wicked claws tore itself through the human’s chest as easily as a hot knife could cut through butter. Seeing his beloved so violently impaled on the thing’s forearm shook him. Virgil found himself unable to react and could only stare in horror as the giant figure looming behind Marcel lowered its head. It was mostly humanoid if he didn’t concentrate too much on how its jaws were stretch forward into a stubby misshapen muzzle. The shock of its mouth gaping open to decapitate the Hispanic was what woke him.

A hard breath was released as he came back to reality, disoriented more so than he had been the past two nights thanks to earlier substance abuse. But the small blank spot in his memory didn’t alarm as it might other people. There was a solid warmth beneath him and, shamefully, he thought for a split second that it was some stranger until his brain was able to process to who the scent belonged to. The realization both calmed him and made him panic at the same time, his head lifting so he could look up at him. The question on his lips died as soon as he saw that Marcel was asleep. He studied him by the light cast from the television, noticing that he didn’t seem to be having a truly peaceful sleep although it didn’t appear that he was suffering from night terrors again. He could take that. Sighing, he laid his head back down. He would have stayed like that until his partner woke up, but it wasn’t much longer that his body started making its demands. Trying to out-stubborn his body and wait wasn’t something he could do this time so the lycan carefully pushed himself off of him and stood to make his way to the bathroom. Once the issue with his bladder was taken care of, he washed his hands before bending down to drink water from the faucet. An almost nervous glance was thrown toward the couch as he came back into the living room, which had him mentally scolding himself for doing it and for the relief seeing Marcel alive and whole brought. There was no reason for him not to be, after all. Despite how it had ended for him, he was awake and rested for once, and he didn’t quite know what to do about that. Normally, Virgil would hit the bottle until he passed out again if he had nothing to do. Sadly, he did or would in a few hours. Having a normal job sucked balls. After a brief debate, he settled on making a pot of coffee. His cellphone was grabbed when he finished with adding in the water and coffee grounds, the man pausing at the time displayed on the screen. A few minutes after five in the morning. In two hours or so they would need to be at work. At least the apartment was close to the school so there’d be no need to leave too early in order to make it on time. Should at least give Marcel more time to sleep. He hoped. The guy could probably use it. Relaxing against the counter, Virgil opened the app for his e-books and started to read one in order to keep himself from overthinking his nightmare. He didn’t want to think about it at all, actually.

Marcel's dreams seemed to have a nasty habit of flip flopping on him at the most wild of times. One minute he'd be storming a building with his fellow soldiers and as soon as he led the charge into the room he'd blink and suddenly there was Virgil with his smart a** mouth giving him s**t. He'd leave the room and suddenly the gun was back in his hand and he'd be shooting at enemy tango's. It seemed after years of night terrors and terrible influence from that demon his mind was still trying to figure itself out and how to process proper dreams. Thankfully eventually Marcel's mind began to settle on a more simple dream, one where it was simply himself and Virgil sparring in the gymnasium of the school. There was no explanation or reason for the two of them sparring, simply that they were. In his dream himself and Virgil were relatively even, granted he would begin to get the upper hand in the fight, more than likely due to it being his own dream. They'd go at it and would trade their little jabs at each other. However once they were done Marcel would turn his back to Virgil to retrieve their water bottles and the other man would be gone. He would call out Virgil's name several times with no answer but soon he would hear a voice behind him "Dad?" a familiar voice could be heard and he'd turn around to see his eyes widen as he would see a younger version of his son standing there with a familiar black wolf next to him. However before the dream could go any further Marcel's eyes opened and his breathing was apparently uneven. Simply seeing his son in a dream was enough to shake him to the core as he laid there almost scared to move for a few seconds as he gathered himself.

Marcel would notice that the weight on his chest was noticeably gone and the smell of coffee would soon reach his senses. The smell was amazing and would probably do him wonders at this moment. So Marcel would slowly pull himself up from the couch, thankful that it was soft and comfortable enough to sleep on. He would look to the kitchen to see Virgil standing there reading something on his phone, he really needed an upgrade since he was still just using an old fashioned flip phone. Hell if someone who was more than a hundred years old could learn how to use a smartphone then dammit all to hell he could too! But for now Marcel would slowly shuffle himself to the kitchen and grab a mug from the cupboard "Morning..." he spoke plainly, not quite awake just yet and his mind still on his dream from earlier. Marcel would mix just a bit of creamer and a small bit of sugar in his coffee before taking a sip of the miracle liquid before sighing in contentment. He would then glance over at Virgil and move beside him to glance at his phone "So what are you reading there Querido?" he asked curiously, wondering what kind of books Virgil would be interested in. The man did not strike him as a scholar so he was thinking maybe something fantasy or something like that? Maybe even horror?

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Virgil glanced over to him when he caught movement out of the corner of his eye. ”G’mornin’, darlin’.” Once more he would watch him for any sign that something was amiss. Compared to the last two times he couldn’t see anything obvious. For the first time since sleeping over, the morning was peaceful and normal. He wasn’t about to look a gifted horse in the mouth so he went back to reading. Electronic books could hardly compare actually holding a real one, but they were a hell of a lot cheaper. And it was a bit easier to find books that didn’t always cater to the hetrosexual crowd. Those tended to get uninteresting for him to read after a while since most he started always had some sort of romance element to them no matter what the genre or plot was. The one he was reading now was a little lackluster to him, lacking any sort of action or conflict in the story aside from the couple fighting with one another and other people who didn’t approve of their relationship. And, well, a different kind of action that wasn’t exactly family friendly. It seemed like every ten pages the two were going at it in a more physical way. Was that was people thought of gay men? That they were a bunch of horndogs that constantly went at it? Then again, it did seem as if society did think men in general had sex on their brains twenty four seven. A brow arched as he noticed him trying to peek at what he was reading, which had him pressing the button to close out the app. Virgil didn’t know why the possibility of him finding out that he was reading a smut scene embarrassed him, but it kind of did. Besides, it wasn’t like the devious veteran needed to be given any ideas from it. ”About th’ lives of two gay cowboys, I guess.” He chuckled as he shrugged a shoulder. ”Gives me somethin’ t’pass th’ time with anyway.” The book really wasn’t a great representative of what he liked to normally read, but it had only been two dollars on the store so he’d decided to give it a try.

His phone was set back down and he leaned over to kiss him on the cheek. ”Did ya sleep well enough?” He’d ask as he went to grab his mug he’d used the other morning. After filling it with the dark brew, he returned to stand beside Marcel. He blew on it before he took a drink, finding that he hadn’t messed up in some way when he’d made it. The big guy liked his coffee just as he did his booze- strong as hell. Once he realized just how often he was glancing over at him, Virgil forced himself to focus his gaze on some random spot on the floor. The need to confirm that he was still with him annoyed him. He had seen more than his fair share of violence in the real world, had helped caused it more often than not, but it still disturbed him. Thankfully, Virgil didn’t believe in premonitions or else he would have truly worried.

The fact that Virgil had closed the app as quickly as he did might have told Marcel a bit about what the other man was reading. A small grin grew on his face when the other spoke about the story being about gay cowboys. The Hispanic quirked an eyebrow as he silently watched Virgil, a knowing look on his face. No doubt why he closed the app that quickly "What's the matter Querido? Is it that bad?" Marcel didn't really do much in the way of reading, not because he didn't enjoy but just because he usually preferred watching TV over reading a book. He knew that reading was considered better overall but the Hispanic just wasn't a fan for the most part since very little ever caught his interest. Of course there were some novels that did interest him in the past but those were mostly action stories that were few and far between. Of course his experience with gay novels was pretty much absolutely zero since a lot of reading that he did partake in was during school which obviously was non existent. It seemed like homosexuality in general was thought as inappropriate for schools for some reason. Of course he did do some reading in the military but a lot of it was once again more or less generic heterosexual books and what not. This wasn't too surprising since he was in the military during the days of Don't as Don't tell which meant anything gay was meant to be kept under wraps, even if he was bisexual he still couldn't be totally open about himself. Of course he didn't really care that much at all since he had his wife at the time, so nobody ever gave him any flack for it. He would then nod his head in agreement when Virgil made his comment about the book "Makes sense, at least it's something to entertain you" hell if Marcel didn't have TV he'd be bored out of his mind no doubt at all. He would then yawn a bit as his cheek was kissed and shrugged his shoulders and gave a half assed grin "Enough to survive I guess" truthfully he didn't get too much sleep, but thankfully enough he had trained his body to be able to run on a couple hours of sleep a long time ago. In fact since that dammed demon was out of his life he'd been fortunate enough to get more sleep than he usually got. Of course Marcel would quirk an eyebrow at Virgil as he sipped his coffee, why the hell was he constantly looking at him over and over? "Something on my face Querido?" he asked while giving an easy smirk to the other man, moving his free hand to move to the others lower back and began rubbing some soft circles. He remembered how after their first time sleeping together Virgil had a nightmare regarding him and he couldn't help but wonder if he might have had another nightmare or something to that extent. He wouldn't poke or prod though, if Virgil wanted to talk then he would.

He was too ******** old to be blushing over some adult content even if it wasn’t exactly typical. Why anyone would want a fake when they had access to the real thing wasn’t something he couldn’t really understand. ”Nah. Just...ridiculous.” With luck that would be enough to satisfy any lingering curiosity. To him, books would always be his go to way to stay entertained when he wasn’t outside. He could only get into the whole t.v. watching thing while Marcel was around and awake to add to help keep him entertained. His head nodded somewhat. Enough to survive? Well, the protective wolf would just have to be satisfied with that. There was little doubt in his mind that the former soldier might be used to running on little to do sleep, but it wasn’t all that healthy. Not that he had any damn reason to talk given his own ways of getting a peaceful night’s sleep. Maybe one day their broken minds would get their s**t together and allow them both to actually rest with little to know problem. He let out a light snort at the smart mouthed little question. ”Aye.” Giving his own sarcastic reply, Virgil looked back to him and smirked as he reached out to brush the back of a knuckle over a part of the other man’s scruff. Though he swore that he felt perfectly fine, he still found himself relaxing and gently leaning into his touch. Either way, the rubbing felt nice.

He remained quiet for a few minutes while he took the occasional sip of his coffee. All those important claims Marcel had made recently hadn’t been forgotten, that he would be there for him and listen to anything he might want to get off his chest. A century and a half of keeping his personal s**t to himself, he was still finding it hard to talk about anything that was remotely serious or involved all the skeletons in his closet. But he supposed he would never know or learn if he didn’t try, and a dumb dream was a good starting point. ”If dream Marcel would stop dyin’ on me, I would’ve kept sleepin’ like ah baby.” It came out as a wary joke because didn’t he didn’t think it was all that important. Just his mind’s way of dealing with his very real and unsettling fear of losing Marcel. It would probably always be with him, but right now it was still fresh and new, and his subconscious was still learning how to handle it. Virgil draped an arm over his shoulders and tugged him a tad closer. ”Wanna do somethin’ for breakfast?” It didn’t matter to him. People claimed breakfast was the most important meal, but he went without eating that first meal all the time and never felt any worse for wear. The school had plenty of food he could steal later if he got hungry anyway.

Marcel couldn't help but smirk at the blush on his face, he found it amusing how the man could get so flustered over the simplest things. Of course he himself was no different, it seemed for how tough the two men tried to present themselves they were both still soft in some ways. The mans next comment caused the other to roll his eyes a bit at his explanation, there was smut in what he was reading. No person avoided a subject like that unless it was something like that, he'd spare the other man though instead of pushing any further "I see, must be a...hard read" he commented idly before taking another drink of his coffee, the caffeine starting to finally fully wake him up from his morning grogginess. The feeling of Virgil running his hand over his scruff would remind Marcel that he would have to shower, shave, and all that jazz soon. More than likely after breakfast. But for now he made sure to give Virgil all of his attention at this moment as he delivered a flat joke about how he seemed to die in the dream he had. Well that was a pretty good reason for how he acted. He remembered the dream he had that night, the memory of seeing Virgil run into a building that was set to explode on his squad. He didn't know how it happened in the others dream but either way he could understand why it shook Virgil up. He would lean himself into Virgil and smirked up at him "Dream Marcel seems like quite the pushover compared to the real deal" he gently joked back, figuring humor was the best way to try and relax the Werewolf. At the very least Marcel was confident that he wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon, in fact the fact that those people at the beach got their one lucky hit off was the closest he'd gotten to death....not counting that demon. That was something else entirely. Marcel would then nod his head at Virgil with a smirk on his face as he thought for a moment "Well I can make some omelets again, how does that sound?" he would offer. Ordering Chinese for breakfast again seemed like it would be a bit much and unless Virgil had any other ideas he'd start cooking.

Virgil thought he had managed to rid himself of his or at least had buried it deep enough that it wouldn’t ever surface, but it appeared as if the Hispanic had managed to unearth it like a long lost relic. A slight snort escaped from him as he tried not to laugh at his statement and the irony that it hinted at. Though the battle with his mirth was lost all too soon, Virgil chuckling despite himself at the little joke. ”Aye. It would appear that he is.” A ghost of a smile graced his lips as he looked down at him. The real one that was tucked under his arm certainly was no slouch and could fight better than anyone he’d run across recently. He would just have to remember to believe in the veteran’s combat experience, that it would keep him safe against any nasty thing out there. Marcel had managed to give the demon a run for its money, after all. Right until it had sent him crashing into the fridge, but that was beside the point. Turning his head to the side, he rested his chin down on top of his head and closed his eyes for a moment. Just because he was rested and had energy didn’t mean that he was ready to use it. There was something about being awake at this early hour that always made the brute want to find somewhere comfortable to relax and enjoy the relative quiet of the surrounding world. When he got the chance to wake up to a peaceful atmosphere, anyway. He couldn’t indulge in that, sadly. Stuff needed to be done like taking care of his own personal hygiene and breakfast, apparently, since it seemed his beau was in the mood to cook for them.

”Ain’t gunna say no t’that.” He grinned at him. ”Though...I’m kinda startin’ t’think that might be th’ only thing ya know how t’make.” Virgil pulled away from him and drained the last of his coffee. Everything else could wait, food was the important thing now. Leaving Marcel to slave over the stove while he went to get ready wasn’t something he could easily bring himself to do. In his family, everyone had pitched in to help prepare meals and only needing to take care of an important chore could excuse anyone from the work. Aside from his father because the man had rarely been present. His mug would be rinsed out in the skin and set aside before he went to the fridge to get out the needed ingredients. Putting everything down near the stove, he stepped back so he wouldn’t be in the other’s way. Talking that small bit had helped soothe the rest of his worries and help him focus on something else. The similiarities between then and now didn’t even cross his mind.

(OOC: Hey it's fine, s**t happens. Take your time, I'm in no rush.

Marcel grinned a bit when his joke didn't fall flat and Virgil laughed a bit at what he had said. He would then chuckle with him for a second before looking up at Virgil as he admired the smile on the others face. This man was radiant as far as the Hispanic was concerned, call him biased but Virgil was such a good fit for him in just about every way. He would then relax in Virgil's arms a bit as the other rested himself on top of his head, relaxing with each other. Marcel then quirked an eyebrow at Virgil as he smirked at the other man "You think? I told you I can't cook!" except for omelets of course, he could make those. The Veteran would then proceed to pull out a nice pan to cook the eggs in, but not before looking at what Virgil pulled out and smirked a bit "You missed one thing Querido" with that he walked over to the fridge, opened it up, and reached in for a moment before pulling out the half empty bag of spinach "We're going to be needing some greens!" with that he would cut up the bacon into small pieces before searing them in the pan as the Hispanic began humming a random song he remembered from the romance they watched earlier. He would then place a handful of spinach in the fried bacon and stirred it around to a for a few seconds before cracking two eggs and folded it over after cooking it. He would then pull a plate out and placed the omelet onto the platter before repeating the process for the other one, no omitting any spinach for either. Virgil needed greens in him and the Hispanic would make sure the other got that just! Once he was done cooking Marcel would plate the final one before grabbing two forks and placing one on the other plate for Virgil "Eat up Querido!" he stated with a smirk on his face as he happily took a bite of the omelette, glad to know that eggs were about as easy as it could be "Well? Edible?" he questioned humorously before taking another bite of his food, thinking about how he'd pass the time in class. Just ditching was without a doubt an option but the two men needed to at the very least show up and punch in if they wanted to get paid for the day. It was a total pain in the a** but he'd have to deal with the boredom, at the very least he could maybe cut class and visit Virgil. Hopefully they didn't stick any brats into his class, that would be a bit irritating. Becoming a teacher and then thinking about how annoying it would be to teach, how ironic.

Virgil's eyes squinted a bit as he was reminded of his lack of talent in the kitchen. It must've gone out one ear and out the other because he was having trouble recalling it. "Huh?" He glanced at the items on the counter before his gaze followed after him. "Aw, s**t." The large male grunted upon seeing the retrieved bag of spinach. No matter how it might appear, he hadn't left it in the fridge on purpose. No way he would do that with something that his companion claimed to enjoy eating. "Figures I'd meet th' best thing t'ever happen t'me an' my memory starts goin' t'ell." He'd playfully joke as he leaned back against the counter near by while Marcel cooked, offering silent moral support since there wasn't much else for him to do as far as helping went. "Person, rather." Virgil soon corrected himself, not exactly liking how he’d referred to his lover as a thing. He was the one person on earth that he didn’t think of as that and he definitely didn’t want the human to ever believe that was what he thought of him as. It wasn’t until he noticed him adding more of the spinach to the second omelet that he grew a tad bit alarmed. ”Uhm, babe?” Try as he might to get the Hispanic’s attention and remind him, it didn’t work. The werewolf did little to hide his hesitation once his plate was handed over to him, his nose wrinkling somewhat as he glanced down at the omelette. He poked at it skeptically with the fork a few times before finally ate a bite. ”Barely.” He grumbled out just to be an a**. Marcel deserved at least an A for effort for trying to get him to eat his vegetables, but it didn’t take long for the taller man decide against the greenery in his food. Virgil avoided the pieces that were large enough for him to and that he happened to notice first, a small pile growing on a far edge of his plate while he ate. It would be pretty clear any time he did happen to mistakenly eat a piece since his face scrunched up each time. ”This kinda reminds me of this stuff mom used t’make. Ah big pan of scrambled eggs, green onions an’ ********’ spinach.” The memory of it was enough to make him grimace. Needless to say, this wasn’t exactly how he wanted to be reliving a memory from his childhood. Well, maybe the omelette wasn’t so terrible with the spinach added in it. He’d just eaten enough leafy greens to last him a damn lifetime. Virgil licked his teeth once he finished with his breakfast, going over to scrape the leftover greens into the trash before he went to wash the plate and put it up. Worrying about what he would do at work wasn’t something he was doing. There would be do to that soon enough and he wanted to spend what free time they had left not thinking about how to keep himself entertained for eight hours. He’d probably end up catnapping if he didn’t end up with any unwanted guests.

Marcel couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the other man's comment and turned his head to look at Virgil with a grin "Don't worry Gramps, I'll be sure to buy you a walker later while we're at the mall!" he'd tease the other for his age and comment a bit before then blinking a bit when he seemed to correct himself. Well that was nice of him but he did know what he meant, maybe it was just something that bothered him? He'd make sure to remember that just in case he ever made a comment like that again. But of course he wouldn't let it slide completely "Well it's nice to know that I'm more than just something to get your rocks off!" the easy smirk on his face as he once again turned his head was to show Virgil that he wasn't bothered by it at all and that he was just making fun of it. Once the food was placed in front of both of them Marcel would happily begin to dig into his omelet, savoring how the bacon fat flavored the spinach just enough, it was without a doubt his favorite combination. However he'd let out a small huff through his nose as Virgil decided to be an a** about his cooking, he knew that at the bare minimum his omelets were serviceable! Of course he would pause in his eating when he saw this grown man, this man whom was more than four times older than him pick out the spinach like a fussy little kid would do. The Hispanic would give Virgil a deadpan look for a good couple seconds "Seriously? It doesn't even taste that bad!" he exclaimed before sighing in defeat, well you can't blame the Hispanic for trying to get the other man to eat some vegetables. Although Marcel would listen with interest as Virgil spoke of his Mom and how she made something similar to what he did "Green onions you say? I think you're Mom had good taste, that sounds pretty damn good!" next time he went out grocery shopping he would definitely give that a try, especially he always kept spinach in stock as it was one of his favorite foods. But anyway back to Virgil, Marcel would watch as he scraped off a large pile of the spinach into the garbage which caused Marcel to finish his plate and set it the sink for a moment "Virgil there has to be some veggies you like! You can't just eat nothing but protein everyday!" he spoke without really thinking about how that could be taken, he was too busy thinking about how he could do this. He couldn't cook worth a damn but there were a lot of places to order out from, that was his best bet. But for now Marcel would sigh and shake his head with a smirk as he walked up to Virgil and stared up at him for a moment with an amused look "What am I going to do with you Querido?" he would ask for a moment, looking the other up and down as if the answer would pop out at him.

It figured that the man would think that the egg and onions sounded good. It was strange to think that someone might make the food to simply enjoy it rather than out of necessity. Virgil chuckled softly as he shook his head at him. ”I can make it for ya some time if ya'd like. Ain't goin’ t'eat any though.” If he was starving, sure, he would eat it though at this point in his life he had little reason to go without. He might not be wealthy, but he could afford good meals. Leave it to the old b*****d to think of something completely unrelated to food at his statement about him only eating protein. ”Who says I can't, hm?” An eyebrow was cocked as he looked at him. ”I could use some more, I think.” He licked his lips a bit as he looked Marcel over, his gaze lingering on one certain spot before they drifted back up to meet those warm brown eyes with a wolfish grin that soon softened into a half smile. ”Salad isn't too bad as long as it doesn't have anythin’ t'crazy in it... He thought for a brief moment. ”Corn, potatoes, peas…” A shoulder was shrugged as he folded his arms over his chest. That was about it as far as vegetables went. Virgil could think of several things that the Spaniard could do with him, but he wasn't going to give voice to many of them. ”Mmm, that's ah good question.” He let his arms drop to his sides as he closed the slight distance between them and placed his hands on his his after slipping his fingers underneath the bottom of his shirt. ”Love me an’ never let me go?” A cheeky grin was offered just before he leaned down to kiss Marcel. He'd hold onto him for a brief moment longer before he let go and took a step back. ”Thanks for cookin’, darlin’.” He turned around to start washing the dishes that needed to be done. ”An’ it wasn't completely horrible with those leaves in it.” Virgil glanced back at him with a smirk.

Marcel would glance at Virgil and smirked a small bit as he chuckled a little bit at his comment "You cooking for me again? Now I wouldn't mind that" of course his blatant refusal to eat it though made the Hispanic shake his head at the other man a bit. He couldn't blame Virgil's reasoning but damn the man was stubborn none the less. Marcel would then roll his eyes at the other man's comment, of course he thought that he could live off of meat and nothing else! However he would look up at Virgil when the other made his comment and the way that his gaze lingered in his up and down caused Marcel to roll his eyes "Whoa there Lover boy, I think you had more than enough!" he would chuckle a little bit as he met Virgil's verdant's and gave a small grin as that half smile was enough to make his heart skip a beat. This man was ******** beautiful when he smiled. Of course though that moment only lasted a second before Marcel found himself rolling his eyes once again. He could only imagine what Virgil's idea of crazy was when it came to salads. The Hispanic would then listen to the unsurprisingly short list given "Corn isn't even a vegetable, it's a grain like wheat or something!" with that it left potatoes and peas, one of which was usually slathered in butter. Marcel would have to definitely buy a cookbook and just make sure he follows the directions to the T because this man needed better food in his diet. But right now that was a worry for another time because of course the other man had to be a big sap. He would smirk into the kiss a bit with an amused look "You weren't kidding at the beach, you really are the cheesiest b*****d I've ever met" he laughed a small bit before shaking his head at the thanks given "Anything for you Love" of course just as he was beginning to walk towards the bathroom he caught what the other said and tried to look as insulted as humanly possible, the nerve! Of course his own sly smirk grew on his face as Marcel put his hand out "Sit...shake....Good boy!" he repeated from the other day when they met the father and child, Marcel would stick the tip of his tongue out a Virgil before quickly retreating to his bedroom where he would strip himself down completely before entering the bathroom and leaving the door open a crack in case Virgil needed him for something. The Hispanic would quickly get the hot water running before stepping in to wash himself up, grabbing his razor and some shaving cream he would begin to shave while in the shower. The Hispanic really didn't need a mirror to see where he was shaving, he knew just how to do it right. Back when he was deployed Marcel sometimes didn't have access to a mirror so he learned the hard way out to shave without seeing oneself. Besides shaving in the shower was easier and saved some time so he had no issue doing this as he got rid of all the extra scruff around his goatee.

It was just as well that the man hadn't taken him seriously since he really didn't feel like putting forth any effort to get a salty bit of protein. He was close to being disturbed by the thought that domesticated life was already beginning to make him lazy. No way in hell he could allow that to happen. Maybe it was time for him to go camping before he got too used to this life of comfort. It would give him something to do over the weekend as well. As much as he loved being around Marcel, he knew being together too much wouldn't be healthy for their relationship and he would rather avoid something like that happening. His brows furrowed when he was corrected and inform that corn wasn't a vegetable. The brute kind of felt like he had been lied to his whole life now. Also felt like the world's biggest idiot as well because, honestly, that was something he should have figured out on his own years ago. He slightly shook his head at his own stupidity. There were a lot of ways the Hispanic unknowingly shook his world up, but Virgil could say this was one way that he didn't like even though it wad entirely harmless. All their talk about veggies had him wondering why his partner had such a concern about his diet. True, eating as much meat as he often did wasn't healthy but it wasn't as if he needed to worry about how it could affect his health since he wasn't human. Still, he supposed it wouldn't hurt anything to start eating healthier foods if it made Marcel happy. A hand moved to lightly rub at the back of his neck as he let out a soft chuckle. "It's not like I wanna be..." Trust him, his cheesiness was far from being intentional, it seemed to come out all on its own like word vomit. Perhaps the worst kind since it was so damn sappy more often that not. "I'll try t'do better." Now that he thought about it, it was probably annoying to hear such things.

Virgil went back to washing the small pile of dishes though he soon stopped again when he heard that teasing command. He couldn't flip Marcel off the first time since he had paws, but there was nothing stopping him this time. This middle finger of a hand was held up as he called out after him. "Screw ya, Velazquez!" He huffed as he shook his head. That jerk. He would get him back for it one of these days! It only took him a couple of minutes to finish, the male drying his hands off on the bottom of the borrowed shirt once he'd rinsed them off. He glanced toward his phone before he decided against the whole reading thing. There was a few things he needed to do first. He went to the laundry room to take his clothes out of the dryer. They were a little wrinkled after staying in the machine all night but it hardly bothered him. Clothes for the day were set to a side before he folded the rest and put them in his bag. Everything would be carried to the bedroom and the bag dropped at the foot of the bed with his tank top and jeans being put on the mattress beside him as he sat down on it. It wasn't much longer after that that the big guy was stretching out across it with a yawn. Virgil was far from being tired, it was nice to simply lay down and relax. Certainly better than intruding on his lover while he was showering since it would be all too tempting to attempt something that he honestly shouldn't. They didn't need to be late for work. He folded his hands behind his head as he laid there and waited, still finding it a bit strange that this was some cheap motel bed he was laying on.

Marcel would finally finish his morning shave, feeling the smoothness of his face while his goatee was perfectly trimmed and shaped, damn he was good! With that he'd finish cleaning himself off before finally stepping out of the steamy shower with a sigh of relief. Marcel would begin to dry himself off and once he was dried enough he'd step in front of the sink and brush his teeth real quick before completing that as well. Finally he'd step out of the bathroom with his towel wrapped around his waist as he stretched a small bit, feeling so good after that. He'd blink when he saw Virgil laying down, seemingly relaxing and the Hispanic grinned a small bit "Comfy?" he'd teasingly ask before walking over and reached up a bit stroking his own chin a bit, enjoying the relative smoothness of it "Not bad right?" he'd ask for the others opinion before walking over the his dresser and pulling out his outfit for the day, a gray singlet and dark jeans. Maybe not completely school appropriate but he was a combat instructor so comfort would take priority. He would drop the towel and slide into a clean pair of briefs before then putting on the jeans, followed by his singlet. The larger armholes definitely gave him more movement, which was pretty good considering what he had to do. That is of course if he even has students, which he knew he wouldn't obviously. Once he was done getting dressed the Hispanic would walk over to Virgil and grin a small bit "Anything you wanna get done before we go?" he asked, folding his arms over his chest, smirking at the larger man. Marcel couldn't help but wonder how he'd react if he actually had students to teach, he could picture it now. A bunch of teens walk into his class and he freezes up not sure what to do. Oh he'd pay to see the look on his face.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Aye." He made a show of slowly stretching out his whole body across the mattress as if to prove just how comfortable he was. The bed could easily convince him to waste his whole day in it it had the ability to do so. A few days ago Virgil wouldn't have stayed in such a vulnerable position when Marcel came into the bedroom, but sitting up didn't cross his mind this time. While there was still a very small part of him that was still mistrustful of him, that negativity was greatly eclipsed by how he felt about the Hispanic. The second question had him opening his eyes and lifting up on an elbow he could look at him. Of course, he noticed the difference in his appearance right away though he still looked him over to appreciate the whole view, scars and everything. "Right." Virgil grinned at him as he agreed. "Not bad at all." Though it wasn't as if he had thought he'd looked bad with the extra scruff either. His head tilted to a side as he tried to picture Marcel clean-shaven. It was quite difficult to do considering how much facial hair could change a man's appearance. He would definitely look different although the beast couldn't say that he wouldn't still find him attractive. Not much thought was given to his choice of clothes. His wasn't any more suited to their job and he thought it would be rather comical if either of them dressed in dresser attire. Nicer work clothes would only get ruined quickly with the way he planned teach. If anyone ever came aside from the other man. And he was still holding on to the hope that no students would ever darken his doorway. There was little doubt in his mind that the encounter would be painfully awkward for everyone involved. "Nope." He returned the veteran's smirk, sticking to his smart assery. Virgil might not care all that much about his appearance though he wasn't all that willing to leave the apartment wearing clothes that didn't really fit his large frame.

He dropped back down onto the bed and let out loud groan. Sighing, he sat up and looked back up to him. "Gimme five, darlin'." The shirt would tugged off and dropped before he leaned over to grab a hair tie from his bag and put his hair in its usual bun. Next he pulled out his toothbrush and paste along with his straight razor and a small can of shaving cream before he stood up and disappeared down the hall to the bathroom. Deciding that showering could wait, he stepped over to the sink and put the items down. Once he finished brushing his teeth, the male slathered some of the shaving cream onto his face and got to work. For someone that had learned to shave without a mirror and had spent most of his life doing so, he knew how convenient they could be. Virgil found himself wondering how the other found his rugged mug handsome. It didn't seem that way to him. Without his self-loathing plaguing him too badly him for once, he didn't find himself completely hideous. Passable, at best. He'd wash off his face and blade when he was done, and found the towel he'd used the night before to dry both. Taking his few belongings back to put them away was a natural course of action for him, something that he did with little thought to what he was doing. "Guess I'm ready t'head t'teenager hell if ya are." Virgil would comment loud enough to be heard while he returned to the bedroom. Well, as soon as he got dressed he would be ready to leave, which didn't take him long to do.
