Sub watched as S-22 was struck and actually showed signs of taking damage for once in their long history with the monster, even when they jettisoned the thing into space he never saw it display any type of physical damage down to its person. The brief moment of motivation and inspiration, that they might actually be able to put this demon down for good, was soon dashed away as the Snagem leader took note of the lights. The sun had begin to set by now and with all going on the Dark One had paid the lights no mind, subconsciously figuring them to be some sort of transitional lighting that comes on as night falls. It wasn't until the aftermath of Ryan's Z-Move coupled with Rhyme's Thunder did Sub take actual notice of the lights, which now shone brighter than ever with an awful glow that caused his stomach to sink.

It only took a few seconds for the man to scour through his brain to figure out why the lights filled him with such a feeling of dread. It was just stadium lighting, right? Perhaps the jolt of electricity just made them light up to their full potential quicker. That's what he wanted to believe but he knew that wasn't true, no those lights signified something much more terrible. "He played us..." He muttered to himself as he stared at the lighting, now realizing Ein had intentionally installed said lighting to clearly inform an observant eye, Sub himself specifically, of what was to come. Another way to mock the Snagem leader as by the time he figured it out it would already by too late.

"It's a trap! Stop the attacks!" He shouted out to his fellow Snagems but it was too late. If not up here then the fighting down there against the horde of Shadow Pokemon would be enough anyways. Ein anticipated all of this, their every move leading up to this moment. It was just like Ein made clear back when they discovered he knew the location of their headquarters; killing them wasn't enough. He wanted to absolutely destroy them with the utmost certainty, physically, morally, the very idea of them. And what better way to accomplish this than to force them to destroy their own?

"GRAY! Guide Nevermore!" Sub shouted as he dumped his bag, picking up a banged up and chipped purple stone and a roll of duct tape that had fallen out with the rest of the contents. After tapping the stone to his SNAG he looked up into the air at his Murkrow soaring in circles and let out a sigh. He never wanted to do this to her, every time he did this it always ended poorly but he saw no other option. "Nevermore! Catch!" He shouted as he tossed the SNAG and stone combo up into the air as high as he could.

With a squawk Nevermore would dive and meet the SNAG in midair, snatching it out of the sky. Upon contact the purple stone, a Dusk Stone as it turned out to be, would react and give off a bright glow which quickly consumed Nevermore causing her to evolve. By the time the show of light ended Nevermore, now a Honchkrow, was diving straight for the hole in the arena S-22 and Darts had made earlier, the bird guided by GRAY as the pair planned to seek the contraptions responsible for the calamity that would soon befall them if they did nothing. It had to be in the tower somewhere of course and something like this required a lot of machinery if Black Tower taught him anything. He just wished he didn't have to do this to his girl, but they were out of time and the increase in speed and strength from evolution might give them the edge they need to stop the inevitable. Plus with their Channeling link Sub could also help guide his bird. Now they just needed to distract S-22 for awhile longer, he was no more their primary concern.

"Tamerlane, throw Griswold's keystone with Circle Throw!" Sub ordered his Pangoro, his Spiritomb could have handled taking Sub to S-22 himself but time was of the essence and he needed every second he could afford. Griswold would consume his trainer as the man spoke to his Pangoro, the Dark One disappearing into the ghost before the Forbidden Pokemon its self retreated into its Odd Keystone. Tamerlane would do as commanded and run up to the Odd Keystone on the ground, picking it up and then proceeding to spin around several times to gain momentum before hurling it at S-22.

The stone would clatter a few feet away from S-22 and Griswold would rise up out of it, mouth agape as his trainer jumped out now with Ulalume the Malamar attached to his back, holding on with her tentacles. With his left hand giving off a dark black glow Sub would attempt to touch Keiko who was running up on S-22 next to him, aiming to use his Dark Touch to tap into her dark emotions and amplify them greatly to fuel the hybrid's powers further. With his other hand which had a more dark and pink energy swirling around it he hope to grab onto S-22 and by Channeling with Ulalume using Mal Reversal to greatly invert the speed increases S-22 enjoyed and slow him down considerably both physically and mentally.

Meanwhile Poe was hard at work moving his Power Gem constructs around to block any stray attacks as the Snagems fired them off, his sole purpose to protect the captive audience. Though the Mega Sableye noted how easy this was as by the time he went to block them their energy had diminished severely. Was something absorbing the excess energy? Certainly seemed like it. Did his trainer know this?

Seeing that the one punch she'd lain upon S-22 did little to the musclebound hybrid, Keiko forced her Frustration up to prepare for another hit-and-run. Before she could move, however, everything faded to black. Confused, Keiko's aura faded, but this wouldn't last.

This is kinda dark b0ss
When her vision cleared, she found herself in a ruinous wasteland. Surrounding her were the mangled bodies of everyone she'd ever met. Her eyes widened as she inspected the damage. The closer a person was to her heart, the closer their bodies were to hers, with Ulla and myself right next to her. As her heart broke, she noticed the only living being in the wastes aside from herself. S-22, covered in blood.

In reality, Keiko seemed to stop in place for a second, with tears streaming from her eyes, only to let out a blood-curdling roar, the Normal-type energy aura of her Frustration move reaching new heights. No longer in control, her body lurched forward, racing at S-22 on all fours. Once within punching distance of the cybernetic monster, Keiko swarmed the beast with a cloud of fists comprised of not only her own arms and fists, several energy clones of her arms and fists. Normally, the move she was using in this moment was designed more to confuse the opponent than deal significant damage. But in her heightened bunnywrath, she could care less if S-22 came away from her Dizzy Punch confused or for the tears that continued to stream down her face. All she wanted now was to rend his flesh until nothing remained, and wouldn't let up with her attack until every ounce of her energy was used up.

As soon as she heard Sub snapping to attention and declaring this entire thing a trap, Aria looked around the arena to see if she could discern what exactly was going on and whether or not she would be able to do something here. And....she had nothing. She might be able to try and attack a few of the pieces of machinery downt he hole that Nevermore dove into but that wouldn't offer anything besides random attacks on something that might trigger this trap early. And that Protect dome was still up.....maybe she could fix that and make sure that they could actually get some backup in this place. Taking off with her Noivern, Aria would begin to examine the energy projections empowering the dome and keeping an eye on the horde battle that was currently occurring on the ground. And.....was something from there coming closer? Turning away from her efforts to discern what was generating the dome, Aria began to make out some details of the incoming object. Like a shock of red hair. And a white cloak. And a Metagross loaded with Pokemon following along behind it at a much slower velocity. Oh hell.

"Reno, I swear to god you will owe me your life after this." Aria muttered to herself, pulling out a hunk of rock that she had collected back during their efforts to keep Zac safe. Feeling energy being drawn into her Noivern, Aria would look down towards Vibrato. "Use Boomburst. If we match the frequency of that field with enough power, we should break it open for a moment." Aria explained, watching as the Dragon type began to attune to what vibrations it could detect from the field before beginning to build up for the Boomburst. And it was MUCH larger than usual, what would usually be a small bit of wind building up in front of Vibrato becoming a massive swirling gale before the ball of wind and sound the size of a house fired itself towards the field, tearing the energy field open with an earth-shaking sonic boom before a red headed projectile went flying through the field, his trailing Pokemon teleporting along behind him in the air to make it through the opening in the field in time to join their trainer. "Please tell me I didn't just make his death more painful by making sure S-22 and him can meet." Aria muttered, slowly following along behind Reno's trail towards the arena.

Cera grunted a bit at Darts' struggling and roaring, straining a bit to keep him at bay and- more importantly- safe. The odd, unsettling glow did little to help matters, but Blizz's remark was enough to have her open her mouth. "You know," she mewled, fairly confident in Blizz's ability to decipher the word "mew" said in a few dozen different ways. "Fifty percent of an Articuno's power is still fifty percent more than you'd have without that 'curse', with or without any benefits. Though I'll admit luck has not been on your side today... look, I don't know what you had in mind for Dartrix, but- ngh!" She'd pause a bit before speaking back up. "...at this point, I think the only bad or dumb idea is the one not done! Besides, focusing on what you can do and not cursing so much about what you can't was something you tried to drill through more than a few skulls, wasn't it?"

Unfortunately, talking was very much not a free action at a time like this, and by the time the Mew finished talking, she could notice her energy was wavering despite how much she was pouring into her efforts; it's like she was forced to give exact change constantly. She didn't dare try to tell Sub that she couldn't exactly stop what she was doing and had a good reason for not stopping. She had a feeling that going back to diverting some resources for telepathy would see that wavering worsen. The she could give was a look that, if Sub was somehow able to see it from where he was, expressed how sorry she was that she'd have to keep playing into Ein's hand if she wanted to keep Darts and potentially others safe.

Ryan was stunned. How was S-22 still moving after all that!? With a frustrated grunt, he reaches to his belt for more assistance. His two major temporary power spikes were now gone, so he was going to have to battle this out normally.

Undine moves over to Rhyme and gives her a 'Thank You' hug for the applause. It had been her first grand performance after all, and even if it didn't yield quite the desired result, she was more than pleased at how well it did go and appreciated the extra acknowledgment.

Ryan watches this and sighs before walking over. He praises Undine, then turns back towards S-22. "Come on, sis. We still have a war to win," he says to Rhyme before calling out Aysu, his Laraps.

Ryan climbs onto Aysu's back, to better sync with her.

"Undine, unless I say otherwise, keep firing Moonblasts at that beast," Ryan tells his Primarina. Undine nods and fires off another major blast of fairy energy at S-22.

"We're going to use that move on him, alright, Aysu?" Ryan says to his Lapras. Aysu nods back and the pair focus for a bit before Ryan speaks out. "Now! Freeze Dry!" the channeler shouts.

Aysu takes a deep breath and blows a massive stream of rapidly chilling air to envelope S-22.

"Yea, I'd be all for doing that if I had any other ideas! At this point I don't...ugh...have much going for me anymore other than what I had in mind for Dartrix." I said to Cera, glancing at my bird who I still had on standby for the time being in the air. I pushed myself back up to my two feet again, wincing pretty badly. I've used Ancientpower too much in particular; its drawback reminding me that it was still a problem for overusing it. Between trying to free myself from the shadowy cage that the Rhydon trapped me in, to trying to use it to distract S22, now a wall for innocents' protection; it was too much. "Blast it, why couldn't I get the benefits instead of being cursed like this..." I'd have to try to use my other hybrid attacks instead of that one for the rest of the fight lest I value my health in the long term.

I then looked up, staring at the deadly light show that was unleashed upon S-22 thanks to the efforts of Rhyme and Ryan. Desperate as I was, I couldn't help but to hold out hope that such an attack was going to drop this thing. I mean, it still adhered to type weaknesses like any other hybrid and Pokemon, right? But as the proverbial smoke cleared, he was still standing, and not really all that worse for wear. "Crap..." This fight just didn't want to end.

As I tried to ready myself for another round, I took notice to something. His demeanor changed, perhaps slightly. There was...caution? What was wrong with this guy? Did he underestimate what some of us could do? Was he even capable of over or underestimating? Did he contract paralysis from that electric attack? I'm not sure what was going on. Whatever...we still had a cyborg that needed to be taken down. He still had an ability that needed to be dealt with. "Dartrix! Worry Seed!" I called out.

"HOOO!" Finally gotten the command, the Dartrix swoops over and rains down seeds upon the cyborg.

Once everyone was getting their attack in, Ulla let go of the Sparkly Swirl as something was going on. Lucario noticed this strange light coming off of the Hybrid as well. He tried to sense it's aura, he couldn't tell what exactly was happening. But, it wasn't good. "Master put a protect up now!" "W-What why?" "Just do it now!" He yelled as he was running back towards his Master. Ulla nodded as she whistled for her Shiny Comfey to come back to her as it floated and landed on her head. She then pulled out more Pokeballs as one of them was to return Comfey. "Stay in here for now. Decidueye, Togekiss come one out!" She hurled both Pokeballs int o the air as both Pokemon came out.

Mega Lucario finally rejoined the group as he looked at Decidueye; his long time rival but also trusted ally. "Protect our Master at all cost." Decidueye merely nodded as he flapped his arms out as a sphere surrounded the four of them. "Whatever is happening lets stop it as best we can. Togekiss, Lucario Aura Sphere once more!" Both of them nodded as both concentrated their Aura together as a much larger Aura Sphere was starting to form in front of the two. Lucario then made a slight jump in the air as he kicked it towards S-22.

Veronica gathered with her pokemon. "Chi, go there and use Focus Blast. BlackCrystal, use Dragon Pulse." The Infernape went in the opposite direction in order to throw a Focus Blast from afar. The Flygon stayed near the ground, flying around to throw the Dragon Pulse as he flew.
"Havoc, go ahead and use Close Combat." Veronica called out and went ahead beside the Lucario to use a Night Shade herself, knowing she might have to protect them both. Havoc made sure they stayed nearby.
Requiem of Whyspers
Kaya watched as his combination of moves went off as intended, sort of. It looked like S-22 was just too dense or heavy to launch into the air properly. But they had actually managed to hurt it, slightly. Unfortunately, his Magic Room was too undeveloped to cover such a large arena completely. So, instead, he attempted to goad S-22 to come within it's range and hoped like Hell it would cause the monster's cyborg parts to malfunction or something if it was caught in his range. "Hey, Sharkbait!" He cried out. "You failed at killing me last time." He pointed out, cringing slightly as the tenderness in his neck reminded him that it had only just barely failed. "Wanna try again?" It looked like the Haze Blizzard had ordered from his Dartrix earlier was just hanging a bit closer to him. Maybe he could get S-22 to Wade through it to reach him and at least partially suffer it's effects while attempting to entrap it?

Releasing Darien behind him once more while also recalling Makoto and Serena for safety's sake, the hybrid gave Darien an order. "Use Defense Curl a few times before it starts moving and then, when it gets close to me, if it even comes this way, use Dragon Rollout and smash it's face."

Darien nodded and began to curl himself into a wheel-like shape, tensing and relaxing his body repeatedly as he worked to harden his flesh and muscle into something more dangerous than a fleshy snake with wings. If S-22 actually took Kaya's bait and came toward him, the Dunsparce would cloak his body in Dragon energy via Dragon Rush and then throw himself into a Rollout with the energy cloak still surrounding him. The resulting attack? A suped up sawblade like dragon fangs spinning toward the shark.

Kaya could feel something dangerous coming as he stood his ground, though and it wasn't likely to be something related to the shark. "Something wicked this way comes…" he muttered calmly, attempting to mask his own abject horror at whatever it was that was making this beast of meat and metal suddenly act like a cautious Litten.
As the various attacks come towards S-22, there was definitely something different about his movements, every single utilization of movement seemed to be calculated in a different fashion than before. Aura Spheres were undodgeable, but now it seemed like the hybrid was thinking on another plane of combat. And judging from his first action, he was... learning? Moving quickly, he places a hand palm down on the ground, forcing a surge of energy into it. Massive jagged pillars of rock arc from the ground in jagged nightmarish approximations of the rocks blocking the group in the stands from the fight push out of the ground, blocking Aura Spheres and Moon Blasts and Freeze Dries as they come for him. Unluckily for certain people as a dark-type, S-22 was immune to Extrasensory, but two large claws of rock move to pluck the Dartrix out of the air well before it came in range of the cyborg - demonstrating his first use of an actual move coming in the form of a very amateur but very strong Ancientpower. The Infernape and Flygon approaching would soon find themselves swatted back by similar claws of rock, intercepting and attempting to crush them in solid stone mandibles.

Keiko alone managed to close the gap, and in combination with Sub's appearance managed to rain down an assault of such fury that S-22 was forced to face it head-on... or at least appeared to, flinching with the first couple of punches before inhaling and then exhaling a massive jet of water from his mouth. The pressure of the stream would easily cleave the surface of the ground behind Keiko, so if she didn't let off her assault to roll with the power of the water she was going to snap in two. As is the massive burst of concussive force was going to break more than a couple of bones. It wasn't like her assault was ineffective however, the raw power of her attacks clearly on display as small smoking craters on the hybrid's exposed forearm where he had been forced to block the attack.

S-22 looks to the sky, a gesture again uncharacteristic for the normally focused-seeming hybrid before he makes his next move.

Aile didn’t pay too much attention when Comfey landed on her head, still more focusing on keeping her breathing as painless as possible. Only when she noticed the pain going down in both her arm and chest did she look up, realising the little lei looking Pokémon was on her head. Or something was, it was really hard to tell. By the time the move was done, she could definitely tell her arm was better, and it hurt less to breathe, but there was still something wrong with her ribs. “Ah… Thank you.” Aile would try her best to pat the Comfey on its head as thanks, currently unsure of where the creature’s head was currently. Tatooine would soon return as well, thankfully not being accosted by anything other than avoiding the other members’ attacks. The dragon would tilt her head at the little Pokémon on her trainer’s head, then giggle as she handed her trainer back her staff. “Glad you could find something funny in all of this, Tati.” She’d gingerly get up once she had her staff back, looking back up at the stands. “Ein, what the hell did you do, you sick son of a b***h. Sarlaac, do you think you might still be able to do a thing? You know, like you did back at Silph Co?” A moment of thinking would be followed by a shrug from the sandcastle, which was followed by shrug from Aile. “Might as well try then…”

She leaned on her staff as she was about to move forward, at least until she heard her SNAG go off. Ignoring the quip from Gray about an unknown user, she’d open it and read it, then look over to the sky above, being covered by that protect shield by Ein. “Sarlaac? Stay the course. I’ll try to be quick.” With one final glance to the fight ensuing, then Robert in the stands, she started to limp off towards a certain spot, at least until Tatooine scooped her up in her arms and flew up, towards a certain spot that was starting to feel off from everything else. Something closer to the element that she’d become quite familiar to herself, the ground type energy. “Well hell. Let’s try and overload that sucker then.” Aile would bring out a new Pokémon after this decision, tossing her Master Ball out and revealing her Regirock. “Korriban, let’s go! Hit that weak point with a Stone Edge!” Something that should hopefully have enough power to hit? Check. Now to try and make the weak point. Something that, at least, in her mind, should hopefully work.

Aile would close her eyes and focus on the area that was changed. Calling out to it like she was attempting to recall sand that might have left her staff’s holding area. This was her plan, to hopefully siphon off enough energy from the area to weaken the area. Hopefully this would work as Korriban slammed its boulder fist into the ground summoning a sharpened stalagmite to soar into the sky, and hopefully pierce the Protect barrier.

And what was old Sarlaac doing during all of this? Well, she was inching towards the stands herself, trying to find a crack to get underneath the bleachers to look around. Aile told her to stay the course, and that she was going to do. Her shovel had better stay safe, though.

There were a couple of Snagems who had managed to pop a hole into the outer barrier of the tower, and Reno was quickly incoming... for some reason. But it's not this that the Sharpedo reacts to with extreme prejudice, blurring again as he speeds across the surface of the platform. He does near Kaya without falling for the bait, but his target is actually the newly-evolved Honchkrow, Nevermore. Plucking the Pokemon out of the sky like a shark through water, the monster proves that all the terrible adjectives you could lump on a killing machine were true as he widens his mouth again, those terrible incisors opening and closing to sever the head of Sub's prized Dark-type from its neck in one swift bite of black and crimson, a veritable shroud of black feathers raining from the leader's long time most trusted Pokemon. To no avail as the bird struggles away its last gasps of energy like a bird to the slaughter - headless and senseless. Quoth the raven. Nevermore.

--

Even as the Snagems take in this gruesome spectacle the entire tower blazes brilliant white with light, casting everything into a pale apocalyptic glow as it erupts with energy. Utilizing the very technologies Black Tower had demonstrated the scientist Ein had managed to perfect a weapon capable of slaughter on a mass scale - one to be ranked alongside the Shadow Virus. Without a massive boom or any sort of melodramatic explosion a single beam of white light projects from the top of the tower and falls slowly, almost gently onto the Shadow Horde and the people fighting down below. There's a wooshing sound like a death rattle or the hum of a faint requiem and the entire world goes blindingly bright for a moment, completely obscuring the battlefield for both friend and foe alike from the brilliance of the event. And once the world fades back in... there is nothing left of the battling Pokemon down below or the Snagems fighting them except a crater, impossibly large and impossibly empty.

Fidgeting in the air, Cera was growing less fond of staying in place by the second, watching the fight continue. If she didn't know any better, she could swear S-22 was doing something more than instant analysis. Was he... thinking? The idea was enough to send chills down her spine, but that wasn't the thing she should've been worrying about. No, that would come in two other ways. The first was what she sensed, and then didn't.

As the hole was made in the barrier, she could suddenly sense everyone in the horde and felt some relief, if a little dread at the immense amounts of Shadow Pokemon that were rapidly thinning. But, almost as soon as that bit of peace had come, she was blinded by the flash of light and found that peace severed in an instant.

She felt no one down below. At all. No Shadow Pokemon.

None of the others.

Not even a lone Trapinch traversing the Orre Desert that might've had the misfortune of being caught up in the crossfire.

Shaking from the sudden shock, she fell to the floor and her attempts to keep Darts in place had ceased. Her eyes had gone wide and as it all began to set in, she was paralyzed in fear. Despair. She knew something like this might've happened, but she wanted to believe it wouldn't.

That it couldn't.

But it did. The members down below and their countless stories...

"...n...n-no..."

...came to an end as light consumed them.

Kaya cursed under his breath as everything went to Hell. Aria somehow managed to blast a hole into the force field cutting them off from the others. Reno came flying in, for some reason? A brilliant flash of white light brighter than his strongest Dazzling Gleam shot into the sky. And, seemingly in slow motion, everything came to an end. Everything. The sounds of battle outside just stopped. Nothing. Not event he wind was blowing after that light hit.

And then there was Nevermore. Sub had done the unthinkable. He had evolved the Murkrow out of desperation. And S-22 put an end to that too, in what seemed like less than a second. She never even got the chance to cry out as her existence was cut short.

"No...No no no no no no... nononono!" Kaya muttered as the realization dawned on him. It was over. Everything was over. Ein won. There was absolutely no way to stop this thing now! It had proven it was capable of more than following orders in the last few seconds. It could think for itself too.

In spite of himself, the bottomless pit of despair he felt himself falling into, something else was there as well. Rage. Screaming at the top of his voice, his energy exploded outward as he pushed his Magic Room to it's limit and engulfed the entire arena. Tears streamed down his face as his anger, hatred, fear and despair mixed together into a volatile cocktail of hybrid rage. Racing toward S-22, he couldn't care less for his own survival at this point, mimicking the Shadow Virus in his own actions, slashing with wild abandon with Play Rough as he attempted to sever the shark's limbs whether his Magic Room had taken effect or not.

At some point, he would lose his sword. He neither knew nor cared where as his rage continued. Charging light into both hands, he would unleash a Dazzling Gleam and Flash Cannon simultaneously, one from either hand, as he tried to commit the monstrous S-22 to the very fate it had condemned his friends and allies to, along with all of those innocent infected Pokemon.

"It. Can't. Be. Real!" He cried out as he burned out the last of his energy in his attempts. Whether he succeeded or not, he would slump to the floor after the assault was over, despair at last winning out over the rest of his emotions. "Finish me, damn it!" He exclaimed, face to the floor. "Just get it over with."

Though Keiko would have rammed her fists into S-22 for far longer, but his Hydro Pump played her hand for her. Miraculously, she snapped out of her rage just in time to maneuver her body slightly - enough to avoid dying. She then began ragdolling around the room, getting deposited on the far wall. With all her broken bones, she could barely sit back up. Of course, this gave her the chance to sense Ulla's energy and realize that what she saw was a lie. She sensed my energy as well for a second, and was about to ask Sub why he did that to her, as it really couldn't have been anyone else, but my energy vanished too quickly for that. As did every other Snagem that was down there with me. Keiko didn't belive what she was feeling at first until her unbroken ears heard Cera and Kaya.

Keiko broke down into tears. This time, it wasn't fake. It couldn't have been. Her fiance was really gone. It took Keiko a while to process that fact. But even if she wanted to do something about it, her body was too weak and broken. Even though Kaya was fighting with everything he had, and he likely wouldn't be the only one, there wasn't much of anything she could do in this state. Until she remembered the last thing I gave her.

Pushing herself up to her feet despite the pain, she dug around in what was left of her purse for a bit until she finally found the ZNA Crystal. Since she had her fair share of broken ribs, this wasn't going to be exactly safe. To make matters worse, her left arm was limp at her side. But if she was going to do anything to help the few Snagems that were left, this was it.

The crystal shattered in her right hand, and its energy flowed into her, giving her strength despite the amplified pain in her chest. With what willpower she had left, she pushed that energy into her right hand, and began charging Hyper Beam. Once all of the crystal's energy was in her hand, she aimed at S-22, and let go, firing a massive beam of Normal-type energy at the monstrous hybrid. It wasn't going to end the fight. It might not even turn the tide in the Snagems' favor.

But it was all she had left for now.

Reno would barely manage to right himself before impacting the other side of the Protect dome, steering himself into a mild crash landing into the arena floor a moment after he became visible to the Snagems within. But it seemed he wasn't even able to rest for a moment, as energies that had been gathering were finally released, an apocalyptic blast of energy that slammed into the Snagems and Pokemon gathered outside. A blast that destroyed all of those gathered below them. Including Leslie.

Turning towards S-22, Reno could feel an intense well of deep loathing and anger springing up, the fury and force of it begin enough to almost physically make Reno buckle from the force of it. But....it wasn't directed at S-22, not like what everyone else was doing. Reno had seen what had become of S-22's psyche, how he was more a bundle of instinct and vague thoughts than an actual thinking being, even though there was one underneath all of the trauma that had been inflicted on the being. No, his vast and unending hatred was being purely directed towards Ein. For killing them all. For what he had done to S-22. And for the utter lack of care he displayed for all he had done. So it was time to start fixing everything. "Everyone! Keep S-22 pinned down! I have to do this myself and you all need to make sure I can do that!" Reno shouted, slowly lowering himself on top of his Metagross before beginning to make efforts to focus on S-22's mind.

Last time, he had seen a battlefield of barbed wire and red skies with all manner of machinery of war and other creations to fight him off. But what could Reno find this time to fight, to try and reach that seed of a psyche and conscious that he knew existed within the being? It was impossible to tell, especially after the myriad of other 'enhancements' that Ein had inflicted on the poor being.

"Dartrix!" I shouted as S-22 smashed the grassy bird with an Ancientpower of its own. Much to my dismay, we started to realize that the depths of tricks this thing had, on top of this thing apparently starting to adapt to all that we were throwing at it now, which made all of this even more dire than ever. I almost thought that the situation couldn't hit anymore of a low point.

...then it did.

With the blinding flash of light, all went quiet. Time stood still for me. I sensed...nothing. The collective masses of Shadow Pokemon below. The presences of Snagems that stood out in the defense below, namely Freth. Nothing. I sensed absolutely nothing. Even Tristen wasn't there any longer, although somehow I sensed him stronger than anything for at least a brief several seconds, suddenly was snuffed out. It started to dawn on me Ein once again had a hand to play in this. He...he actually...

I stood there...deathly calm. The realization was right there before me that I had failed. I didn't protect them like I swore I'd do all these years. Freth and Tristen, out there trying to make a stand to ensure that we all save the world like heroes, but then suddenly, without warning, taken from me. But yet, I was calm. At least, it looked as such. The calm stillness was only betrayed by a icy cold wind that started to whip across the Realgam Tower battlefield which feels as if it could cut to bone, a chill that harked vengance. Ein made a grave mistake now. He created a man, rather a hybrid, that now felt he had nothing left to lose.

I listened to Reno, hearing his call to pin S-22 down somehow. I recalled it being mentioned that S-22 reacted to Reno in a way back during the battle of Mossdeep. I was only left to wonder if Ein would have anticipated such a notion again, but considering how the brute was reacting now, there may be a possibility. I had an idea once again...it probably wasn't that good, however. I made my way over to Dartrix as quick as I could, clearing the rubble from the Ancientpower that had its way with the bird. Dartrix sat up, cringing hard from such an onslaught. It wasn't feeling all that great, being caught off guard by such a tremendous attack. "Dartrix, I need you. Can you keep going?"

"H...hooo..." It wasn't looking too hot. Dartrix barely got back to standing now.

"Don't bother flying if its too much. I don't need you to do that anyways." I said to the bird. I whispered something over to the bird real quick and then I started to walk off, looking dead at S-22. I had to concentrate. I had to try to keep an eye on him, which admittedly, was perhaps impossible. Maybe predict, while I was at it. With him adapting now, he's being extra cautious of the ranged based attacks all the while punishing those who get too close. Not to mention, he's showing he's not afraid to fight ranged attack with range attack as well. That may be the key to this. Dartrix couldn't do this by himself though. "Dartrix! Cera!" I called out to the both of them. "Get ready!" As far as I knew, at the moment, she was one of the few that could do what I, let alone Reno, needed. I flexed my wing a bit. It's still in pain; still can't really use Agility. It would have been a lot 'easier' if I could. Whatever. Do with the hand you're dealt.

I immediately rushed in, leading off with a flurry of rapid fire of Ice Beams towards the cyborg hybrid's feet. Step 1: Guide him. Give him incentive for not getting stuck to the floor. Make him second guess his footing lest he slip with his profound speed and leave himself open. He's not going to want to do that by any means. Even if he dares to tread the ice, or knows that he can deal with the super-low traction, he's fighting at least one opponent who can manipulate it after the fact some. He may target me or Ryan, perhaps, for it. I need to watch him. 'Concentrate, blast it,' all I could tell myself. We needed to give Reno that opening.

Despite Blizz's call for her to take arms, she couldn't stop shaking where she sat for a moment. What she'd gone through hurt something fierce on multiple levels. She was used to having a mental link snap and sever like that here and there; when you spend a chunk of your life with someone that could die and resurrect moments later every so often, it has a few effects. It was if- when- one of those snaps happened and it wasn't Sol. As she sat there, she hoped that maybe he'd be the exception. That, any minute now, one link would be restored.

Yep. Any minute now.

Any...

...minute...

...now... and nothing.

The revelation sank in more. Wishful ignorance and denial wasn't going to help today. Through the fear and despair, there was one other feeling: Total numbness to the situation. "Y... you do realize that thing's still probably got the energy of the types a Sharpedo normally has, right- oh to hell with it."

She'd attempt to pin S-22 down with Psychic anyway, but she already had a good guess of what the result would be.

As her Infernape and Flygon were sent crushing back by S-22's attack, she returned her Infernape back. He and Havoc had been taking more damage than the Flygon from the Sandstorm and the counter attacks. As she stepped back to take a look at Sub's and Aria's actions she felt rather confused about what to do; and there was only one thing that screamed in her mind: run.

No. She couldn't. She couldn't just ditch them. But she wanted to turn her back, even if it was just to save herself and then return. Even as she placed space between herself and the battle, she decided to stay there. Hesitation might be her death - and dying like that had never been something she imagined.

The light started to get blinding and her Flygon latched onto her arm. Veronica didn't speak. She closed her eyes and waited for the light to become bareable. "BlackCrystal." she called to the Flygon next to her. "They'll need a few moments to gather their thoughts..." she spoke in whispers. "So let's keep them safe."

It was frustrating, annoying, supressing, depressing and it filled her with anxiety. She didn't have anyone she would consider personally closed to her down there, but the others' despair was contagious. While they stopped feeling the energy from the ones that were below, Veronica started to feel the void that was death grow inside her. She only allowed herself five seconds to acknowledge how death felt, how it tasted, how it seemed to be the only thing that made her whole anymore. It didn't make her any less upset about her team mate's feelings but it was a sensation she couldn't deny.

"Get Kaya." She ordered and went off in the other direction. The Flygon would Fly with all it had in a desperate attempt to reach Kaya before S-22 really did end him. BlackCrystal would latched onto Kaya like he did with Blizzard before, this time pushing him down and covering him from above. The Flygon would use Bulldoze to push away from S-22, trying to bring Kaya along to a safer distance. "Go-Gon!! Gon!" The Flygon would insist on Kaya to go with the flow.

Meanwhile, Veronica got close enough to Keiko before she launched her attack to send out her Jellicent. "Heal her." Veronica had to then turn away and leave her Jellicent there. "s**t..." Keiko's hyper beam was blinding and exerting more pressure than Veronica could handle. She didn't think the hybrid was going to get into the battle so soon as it was so clear how hurt she was. Though those things didn't bother the Jellicent, who simply floated closer to Keiko in order to Recover her worst wounds.

Even as Veronica listened to Reno, she wasn't about to get any closer to S-22 again. She knew something else would happen and the next target was going to be them. She couldn't run, she couldn't fight, there was only so much help she could offer. "Cherry," She sent out her shadow Absol. "I need you." Veronica's voice became shaky and her throat dried out. Veronica knew it wasn't the weather, the situation had started to get to her more than she wanted to admit and she hated to feel so powerless. "I-" she tried to keep herself together but she couldn't. Her team couldn't afford her holding back now. So tears started to run down and her voice remained cracked, "That hole, see it? You're gonna go into it, carefully."

If Veronica had to find a word to describe herself, it would be cruel. She knew Cherry might end up in the same way Nevermore did. However, getting to that opening meant three things: she would uncover something the enemy didn't want uncovered, if not then she would get a better shot from underneath, and if that didn't work either then at least she would be safe in the mean time that she discovered it.

In the end, Cherry was just a bait. If S-22 went for the Absol, it would create an opening for Veronica to go in without getting hurt. Though she made sure to move through the field in a way that the others and S-22 may not assume that her intentions were to go in herself. She brushed away her tears, hoping no one would notice that either.

Time could come to a crawl for Sub as his most cherished bird was targeted by the monstrosity that is S-22. As if a cruel prank by some sort of cosmic entity he would seem to witness the entire horrid act in slow and vivid detail, finding himself completely unable to look away. Once it was all over with the Snagem leader remained frozen in place, continuing to stare off into the space Nevermore had once occupied in the air, a handful of black feathers fluttering down. His eyes would follow the last one to the ground where the rest of Nevermore laid, the severity of what just happened finally sinking in after what felt like hours of disbelief that in reality was mere seconds.

Raising his head he looked towards S-22 for awhile, his mind blocking out all sound as adrenaline seized control, awakening a primal part of his brain that demanded revenge, blood for blood. When Reno spoke the man did little more than glance over at him for a moment before turning his sight back on S-22, whether or not he even heard Reno was up for debate.

He would watch as Kaya unleashed a frenzied flurry of blows against S-22 followed up by Keiko's desperate Hyper Beam, Blizzard's barrage of Ice Beams, and Cera attempting to restrain S-22 with a Psychic. As he watched his allies fight in spite of the death they witnessed, and not just Nevermore's, his consciousness regained control, if only partially. The fog of anger and revenge parted just a bit for him to consider his next actions and how to deal with the murderer of his most beloved Pokemon.

Without a word, his eyes going wide, a surge of Dark energy poured out of Sub, Griswold rising up high above him cackling with glee. The Forbidden Pokemon would retreat into the Odd Keystone on the ground behind Sub, however leave behind its several green orbs to float around the Dark One, orbiting him. The Odd Keystone would then become a ball of dark energy before rising up and disappearing into the back of Sub's head, a symbol similar to the Odd Keystone's crack appearing on his forehead.

Remaining still four of the green orbs would fly towards S-22 followed by Sub kicking off the ground with one grand leap thanks to the Expansion Boots he wore. Before he hit the ground one of the remaining orbs would slam into the ground and become the fiendish face of Griswold, the Dark One leaping into its open mouth and disappearing into it.

He would soon reappear behind Kaya, jumping out of the hybrid's shadow, swinging at S-22 with fists engulfed in dark energy, timing it right when S-22 misstep thanks to Blizzard's Ice Beams. Immediately he fired off the Flip-Shot function from his Snag Machine at S-22, hoping to reverse his Psychic immunity to allow Cera's Psychic to work and also give his blows more effect. During his barrage he would cast the green orbs onto the ground and disappear into the created faces only to appear from another one, hoping to catch the Sharpedo hybrid off guard with his chaotic assault. At one point he would command Tamerlane to jump out of one orb, the Pangoro attempting to grab S-22 with a 'bear hug' from behind while executed a Quash. At the same time Poe the Mega Sableye would appear next from an orb above S-22 and attempt to latch onto his head, also executing a Quash to restrain him. Sub would then reappear after them with Ulalume the Malamar on his back to cast a Topsy-Turvy, firing the lightning-like energy at S-22 from over Sub's shoulder, hoping to disorienting it enough to help the others.

Finally the grand finale would come as a Master Ball was dropped from an orb above and hit the ground, releasing Registeel. If S-22 was restrained enough Sub and his Pokemon would disengage right as Registeel reached out to physically grab and squeeze S-22 in its metallic grip and make sure it went nowhere.

If it was all successful Sub would stand there, inches away from S-22 and Registeel and ponder the next course of action. "...I should have Registeel return the favor for Nevemore..." He muttered, seriously contemplating order his legend to relieve S-22 of his head, in spite of Reno's wishes and belief that S-22 was just another victim of Ein.

Everything happened in such a split moment. While Lucario and Togekiss launched the Aura Sphere, Lucario felt a sudden change. The dark aura he's been feeling this entire time. The Horde. It just disappeared. He turned to look at his master as she was just standing there with her head down. "...Master?" He turned his body to her as he knelt down to her level to see her eyes wide as she was hugging Leon's jacket tightly to her. "Master? What's wrong? What did you-" That's when it hit him. That light. It took out the Horde. But not only that. It also took out- "Leon..." Ulla said as a single tear fell down her face. "B-Big brother...the horde...Papa...everyone....I don't feel them anymore. They are all gone." Both of them looked out to see a massive crater where they last felt the horde was. "....M-Mama...Mama..." She looked to where Keiko was as she was crying and in a fit of rage. She watched as her mother went off to attack S-22 as she then watched Sub's trusted Pokemon get crushed by S-22.

The child held her head in terror as all of her Pokemon that were currently out stopped what they were doing and made sure their trainer was alright. "Master please keep your head up!" Everything seemed so bleak now. All she could think about. Was Ter and her only blood relative, the person who raised her all this time. Said to be dead, then to appear back in her life, but...now actually gone. "L-Leon...L-Leon....P-Papa...Pa-papa..." Those were the only two words the child could say right now. She was in so much shock, she didn't know how to function. Lucario tried to comfort her as best as he could, he watched her aura waver so much as he looked back at Keiko. "Keiko can't help right now...she is too much in shock as well." He said as he heard a pop as Mimikyu came out of it's Pokeball. The Mimikyu's dark arm came out to reach out for Ulla's arm as the child didn't even look in Mimikyu's direction.

Mimikyu looked at her eyes as they had no emotion in them. Her eyes glistened like a dead fish eyes would. Suddenly, by accident Mimikyu tapped into Ulla's channeling abilities as Mimikyu became a silhouette as where the mouth opened up and ate Ulla whole. Lucario, Togekiss, and Decidueye were all in shock. "Master! Master are you alright?!" He called out as Leon's coat started to change color to match Mimikyu's colors as the hood covered Ulla's face as it got the ears of Mimikyu on top. "....Ma-" Before he could say anymore, Ulla turned her head as something made him flinch. It was her eyes. Instead of her eyes greeting him with their light purple stare; one being slightly lighter than the other. Her eyes were pitch black. As if there was a void in her eyes. As if you can stick your hand in her eyes. Her mouth looked like it was sewn on as she turned back to the battle.

Ulla watched as her teammates were putting all of their frustration out onto S-22. She noticed Keiko fire a massive one handed Hyper Beam as she quickly ran towards her. She helped her adoptive parent keep balance after firing that massive beam. She looked at her mother's arm as it wasn't moving properly, as she came to the conclusion that it was broken. She held it gently as all she can release from her 'sewn mouth' was a small whimper. She then turned to S-22 as she stood infront of Keiko in a protective matter as the child's right arm started to be consumed with a dark ghost aura. Her arm started to become a dark claw is it was suppose to mimic Mimikyu's Shadow Claw.

Aile blinked as Reno landed, just staring at the psychic turned missile, at least until the Ultimate Weapon launched. The woman and her Pokémon just watched as the light launched and fell upon the outside area. She didn’t need to see or be touching the ground to know that that would be devastating, and she slammed her eyes shut once it landed. “Son of a….” She took a couple of painful deep breaths as Tatooine held her close, staring out to the desert.

“Goon… gon?” Tatooine turned to her trainer as she noticed a change in her trainer. Despite the energy it took to weaken that area of the Protect barrier, she was starting to draw on even more energy again until she opened them up once more, a Sandstorm erupting along with that motion, erupting purely upon Aile’s emotion currently. Aile would scan the audience once more before barking out orders. “Sarlaac, Giga Drain that shark! Korriban, Stone Edge!” One rock fist slam later and another stone stalagmite would jump up out near S-22, followed by a tendril of sand coming from the sandcastle to try and latch onto his leg, hoping to drain some of his energy.
