"Mistress!" MISTRESS!"

Yuni jolted awake to see Rala, her father's old and tired Gardevoir, standing over her and almost screaming in Pokespeak. "Thank Arceus." she sighed. "I have forseen that this broken construct will fall soon, and it'll take you with it if you don't move your tiny-tailed butt!"

It was weird. Rala didn't usually take this kind of tone with her. It kind of reminded her of that dream she had of her dead mother's ghost possessing her. Yuni nodded and wrapped an arm around the weak Gardevoir. Rala didn't have to strength to carry Yuni around anymore, but Yuni's strength wouldn't return until those darn gauntlets were taken off of her, so they had to meet halfway if they were going to get out of the ruins alive.

Rala looked back at the fight with Guzzlord. She wanted to help, and Yuni surely wanted to help too, but neither of them was in any condition to. She just had to take Yuni to the Poni Wastelands. The city wasn't safe for her trainer's daughter anymore, anyway, so the only person Rala could think of that might be willing to help is her trainer's son, Aden, who lived.... somewhere in the Wasteland. It was a long shot, but it was the only shot they had.

Jay was glad to see that Gregory and Monique were safe, though he did notice that the monster they were fighting seemed resistant to the Flamethrower Blaze and Monique's Marowak were putting out. Hmm, there were only a few types that were resistant to Fire-types, and he wondered just which one until Bluefur's Dragon Pulse hit, causing the Guzzlord to growl painfully. It's at least part Dragon-type, he thought, seeing the pain Guzzlord exhibited from the attack. The Bug Buzz that came directly after cause a louder growl, and it made sense to assume it was also part Dark-type, especially based on its coloring. "Blaze, Sunny Day into Overheat!" he ordered. "Bluefur, keep it up with the Dragon Pulse, Lu, use Psychic on those guards!"

----

Allison noticed that while Hex was doing some damage, it wasn't nearly as much as she would have liked, and it seemed her assumption that the thing in front of them was part Dark-type was confirmed by the Bug Buzz Guzzlord had taken. The pained growl it let out with the Dragon Pulse made her wonder if it wasn't also part Dragon-type, and an idea formed at this. "I wonder," she said, then heard Jay calling out to use Psychic on the guards. She could see the hunger on the faces of the guards, and it made her shudder just looking at them. Turning back to her Pokemon, she gave an order. "Spooky, Arauth, Calm Mind!" she said. Both Pokemon obeyed, raising their Sp Atk and Sp Def. Once that was done, she gave a slight grin, then called another order. "I want to try something," she said. "That thing seems to be both Dragon- and Dark-type, so let's give it a surprise, shall we? Both of you, double Dazzling Gleam!" If she was correct, and Guzzlord was, indeed, a Dragon/Dark-type, Fairy-type attacks would do massive damage.

----

As the group was fighting the massive monster named Guzzlord, there were two other Pokemon that had gone unnoticed as of yet. The only ones that might have noticed them were Yuni and Rala, after the older of the pair sliced through Yuni's gauntlets with a small Water Shuriken, allowing them to fall to the ground, sliced in half. Both were just watching the fight at the beginning, but the older of the two, seeing that Freth and her group were about to be roasted, was quick to jump into action. The younger of the two, spurred on by its elder's actions, followed, and when the two landed, they released a Hydro Pump and Water Pulse, respectively, directly at the Flamethrower sent by Guzzlord, hoping to deny it reaching the group. If this worked, when the attacks finally died down, Allison would recognize two familiar figures standing there: Bubbles, her grandmother's Greninja, and Agha, her own Froakie.

Freth made her way up the stairs, the entire castle being rocked by the massive intruder from who knows where. Freth jumped back, all the while making a psychic push to push the group forward, trying to make sure that no one got toasted by this...monstrosity for all intents. "Go, go, go, go!" Freth shouted, rushing her way back up, towing Vaughn right behind her still. Freth rushed into the throne room, staring in confusion. There was a figure on the throne, but...she...couldn't...this guy. She wasn't sure if there was no one home, if he somehow is a Dark type Pokemon, or he was an empty shell. While the most she could discern is emotion, she wasn't even getting that much. This guy was a blank. She didn't have the time to contemplate, however.

"Vaughn, where is the rest of Zac?" Freth said, pulling him closer, making sure the guy was still conscious. "Stay with me, Vaughn, this isnt the time to be taking a nap. Where is it?" Freth said, looking around the throne room.

Rala didn't make it far from the Guzzlord fight before the urge to help stopped her in her tracks. Yuna noticed this, and was concerned. "Rala, no. You've been getting weaker by the day and I have nothing in the tank because of these gauntlets. We don't stand a chance."

"Mistress," Rala responded in Pokespeak, as she had to since she lost her telepathic ability a while back. "Do you have any Pokemon with you? Any of the ones you had in your youth, perhaps?"

Yuna seemed confused by this, but shook her head. "I didn't think I could take care of them. I thought I'd be the safest if I just dropped everything Snagem and lived a quiet life. I just..." Yuna trailed off, tears welling in her eyes. She didn't have the energy to cry, but her mind, body, and soul were all resonating something that Rala couldn't help but pick up on Yuna wished she had killed herself in the prison.

Rala was taken aback by this, causing her to see something in her peripheral vision that caused her to turn her head. In a puddle next to them, where Rala's reflection should have been, she saw her trainer. Her original trainer, Terashi. Something snapped in her mind when she saw that, leading to a number of thoughts running through her mind that left her with a powerful sense of determination the likes of which she hadn't felt in years.

Steeling herself, Rala grabbed Yuni's shoulder, pulling her up enough to slap her across the face. "Your parents not only gave you life, but died to protect your life, and you want to throw it all away?" Rala asked quietly, but with a cruelty that betrayed her anger. "I'm tired of watching you lie down and let the world walk over you. That is not the behavior of a Toumei. Or a Yuniko."

"They're dead, Rala," Yuna protested, but this only amplified Rala's anger. "You don't care, do you. Their memory means nothing to you, now."

Rala turned her back to Yuna and began floating away. "Stay here or crawl for the wastes. I don't care which." she spat. Yuna held a hand out to the Gardevor, her face twisting in fear. "RALA, NO! PLEASE! I DON'T... I don't wanna lose you..."

Rala paused, floating in place. "You're all set to throw your life away, but your servant has to live no matter what?" Rala asked, the anger obvious in her voice. Turning around quickly, Rala blasted Yuna in the face with Hypnosis, forcing the hybrid to fall asleep. It was a risky gambit due to Hypnosis's weak accuracy, but Rala was fortunate and Yuni was unconscious. Rala held on to the pang of guilt she felt in her heart. She couldn't help but feel that it was wrong to treat a human this way, but Yuna was seriously asking for it. "You don't need a servant. That much is clear. It was my desire to hang on to the feeling of serving your father that blinded me to this up until now. No, what you need is guidance. So, when next you see me, that is what I'll be to you. Whether you like it or not."

With that, Rala teleported away, arriving off to the side of the fight against Guzzlord but close enough to be able to attack the Ultra Beast. "And as for you," Rala growled, raching up with one hand and gathering Fairy-type energy with it. She couldn't sense Guzzlord's energy which meant a Fairy-type move would be at least somewhat effective against it. "The punishment for trespassing into this world is death." With that, Rala hurled a fully-formed Moonblast at the beast. The weight of her breath increased a bit as her attack flew through the air - she was old, after all - but she tried to ignore it. This fight, for her, had only just begun.

Eri hears Guzzlord roar at them and she feels that psychic push, running as hard as she can up the stairs, Zac squeaking in alarm as shes moving him faster than shes ever done before. And then they're in the throne room. The throne room...throne...

"There!!" Eri looks to Freth. "He said under throne!!" Zacs pulling her forwards, and she nearly staggers with the motion. "We have to hurry!!" She hopes they're okay, and if they're even there...to be in time to save the world from this evil creature, beginning to cross the floor as it appears empty...

While still doing his best to keep one step ahead of the generalized assault by the Guzzlord, Vega was quickly noting responses to each attack, especially his own and the Dragon Pulse that had slammed into the beast. Alright, so cross-referencing against the less effective attacks, that left it like that this creature was some sort of Dark/Dragon type deal. Or at least the equivalent from whatever hell dimension it had previously resided in. That meant for certain that there was one extremely effective option that could be utilized if any of them were armed in that particular capacity. But that plan would have to be stowed as he witnessed an enormous Flamethrower erupt out of the eldritch being and Vega suddenly found himself already in action. Not even a chance to think, not a moment to debate the merits to actually using what he had, he was simply diving into the flames alongside the flurry of water moves. As he did so, the torrent of flames would suddenly have parts of it diverting course towards Vega's body, a cocoon of flames swirling and fighting the contained motion as he continued to move and sweep his arms in his efforts to contain the flames he was continuing to draw away.

Looking over towards the one Fire type Pokemon he could identify through the flames, the sheriff's Alolan Marowak."Get your Marowak to do as large a combat move as it can output! I will bolster with all these flames, but do it quick before I lose control and we are all incinerated!" Vega cried out, already beginning to sweep the flames he had captured towards the Alolan Marowak before he had received any confirmation. "To the rest of you! This beast operates like a Dark Dragon type, so any Fairy moves will be liable to atomize it!" He bellowed, using the shouting as a way to maintain focus underneath the sweltering heat that was currently bearing down on him. While the direct flames were not a problem, the adverse effects of heat stroke were not as easily combatted through passive resistances granted by one's channeling aptitudes.

Amidst the din and confusion, Monique was unsure quite what to do until Vega's voice cut through.

Get your Marowak to do as large a combat move as it can output! I will bolster with all these flames...

The sheriff, without much thought required, commanded, "Marowak, Flamethrower!" She recalled that one time she had to have a thief incinerated for trying to set fire to one of the town's houses. The bone-twirling stopped as Marowak expelled a stream of turquoise-colored fire, merging with the red flames being sent its way by Vega.

Whoever these other people were that had emerged from some dusty corner, they were on a mission. She ran toward the flames, careful not to get too close as to have her dress scorched.

"Got it!" she yelled out, gesturing to Marowak's stream of fire. Would it be enough of a distraction to a Guzzlord under assault?

As Desi followed Freth into the castle, she would spot the Guzzlord, her voice catching in her throat for a single moment as she saw the beast that had roamed the world beyond the dome for years. When it spotted them and began it's assault, she panicked for a brief moment before recalling that she had a Pokemon that could defend her. "Shiva!" She called out as she threw a Net Ball into the air, releasing a sparkling white moth into the air, the shimmering, icy scales on it's wings scattering into the air as it appeared. "Light Screen!" Desi declared urgently, watching the Guzzlord's attack bear down on them and slamming her eyes shut as Vaan attempted to get her out of the attack's direct path. Shiva's wing shimmered with a rainbow of color for a moment before a wall of light appeared before her and, as Guzzlord's attack bore down on them, the Moth's Ice Scales and the Light Screen together would aid her in weathering the attack, should it fail to be stopped in time.

"Hear what?" Akali asked, her answer coming shortly after when she finally heard the noise. A small beam of light would finally let her see something that wasn't total darkness, and she'd finally get to remember what movement was like once the restraints were removed. Considering the options of escape had largely been "die" or "hope something happens to release them," the latter happening seemed like a better outcome overall.

"Thanks..." She remarked, standing and grateful that her strength was beginning to return. "Gonna be honest, thought we'd be left... to rot..."

Atlantis_Darts

That's when she heard Knives calling out to her alongside the fingersnap. He'd get a deadpan look in return as if she wanted to remark how she had a name and gave it to him and everything, but he wasn't exactly wrong to call her that; this was maybe the first time in a while that her Jolteon wasn't with her. "What's up?"

The screams and cries weren't lost on her, but she wasn't exactly in a position to help that situation right now.

The ‘hungry’ guards were pushed back by the Psychic, though the force of unseen energy was only enough to delay them as soon enough they were back on their feet and this time running for the group, hungry as ever, they were only delayed slightly further by the flash of Dazzling Gleam that went off, the possessed guards growling and flinching in pain. Did they share a Dark type nature as well?

Guzzlord moaned as the Dazzling Gleam went off, followed up by a shot of Moonblast, the Guzzlord letting out a roar in pain, ending its continuance of the Flamethrower yet the fires were still in motion. The double Dazzling Gleam and Moonblast did hurt it, very much so, but this thing was so big and powerful that they needed a lot more power to down it.

While it was distracted the others worked on turning its attack back around on it. The Light Screen and Water moves were enough to stave off the massive stream of flames just long enough for the others to assault the Guzzlord and give it pause, providing the opportunity for the Fire Channeler known as Vega to jump in and briefly command the flames. Then, through Marowak, the flames were redirected and sent back at Guzzlord, further flames added by the bonekeeper’s Flamethrower and Blaze’s Overheat. The devourer was consumed by the flames completely, letting out a pained roar in spite of its own Dragon typing. The flames were so powerful that by the time they ended they could spot the stone floor below Guzzlord glowing red for a brief moment, certainly a display of its own power that they were able to harness, if briefly.

Charred blacked where it was yellow and what seemed to be its eyes squinted, likely still recovering from the Dazzling Gleam, the otherworldly Pokemon seemed angrier than ever as it let out a tremendous roar which shook the foundations of reality itself, the group almost certain they saw physical objects sway or jiggly briefly like gelatin from its roar alone. It flinched just once in its roar as its burn stung. It was angry, extremely so, that they had actually managed to hurt it. It wasn’t going to allow them to hurt it again like that.

Slamming each of its two tentacle-like mouths into the ground the Guzzlord would raise its main body high into the air, up through the hole in the ceiling as its tentacles stretched endlessly. With its tentacles acting like support beams the Guzzlord began to give off a sickly cloud of lighter than air black gas which rose up further up into the air and through the hole it had created in the dome, a faint sound of Belching heard. What that did was not immediately known, for now those on the ground would have to worry about what the Guzzlord was immediately doing as it proceeded to use Swallow again, however at an even greater strength than before.

Towering high over the ruined castle the Guzzlord’s mouth stretched open to an even greater size, one that shouldn’t be possible as it started to suck up everything below it. Its suction was so ground that large chunks of rubble, including slabs of stone, began to fly up off the ground and up into the air, disappearing into its gaping mouth without any resistance or sign of it having ever existed. The force of the suction was enough to even rip off remaining pieces of the castle and in time the entire building would eventually disappear into the vast expanse that was its stomach if it was allowed to keep this up.

As for those possessed guards they didn’t even acknowledge Guzzlord instead individuals tried to go at the group again after being blasted back by the Psychic, however they were delayed just long enough for Guzzlord’s suction to start up, the possessed guards being snatched up into the air one by one, clawing and teeth gnashing in vain at the group as the were snatched up into the sky by Guzzlord’s Swallow.

-----

As for those who made it to the throne room…

Vaughn didn’t reply to Freth, he was too tired and Eri had already reminded Freth exactly where they were; underneath the throne, and thus underneath the figure the Psychic could not pry into. It took Vaughn awhile to spot him but once he did Freth immediately could feel Vaughn’s emotions, like a fire alarm going off or a Rattata spotting an Ekans. Everything inside Vaughn screamed ‘danger’ loud and clear and for someone with empathetic abilities like Freth she would need to turn down the ‘signals’ she was getting from him to just focus herself.

A sense would overwhelm Freth, a sense that had been getting a lot of use today, more so than it had in the past many years as she hybrid senses were tripped. Danger, it was coming fast. Guzzlord? Yes, she could hear the battling going on and the building shake so that thing was still a threat but there was something else giving her bad vibes and telling her to be on alert.

“Grah!” Another strange beast snarled as it came rushing out from behind the throne, bolting straight for them on four limbs, each pair looking like they belonged to a different creature, its fish-like tail standing out as it lowered its white head, the ends of its crest giving off a black glow.

“MOVE!” Vaughn screamed, his body finding strength in him to finally talk as the creature leaped off the ground, its claws giving off a surge of Dark energy as it threatened to come down on them all with a wide slashing motion which would conjure up an X shaped construction of Dark energy and rake the ground with tremendous power.

It was in this same moment, when the creature appeared, that Zac would become antsy as well, giving off a faint glow and whining as if he was in pain, in fact, to Eri he looked sick, sicker than ever. What was going on out there to make its health decline so fast? They didn’t have much time if they were going to get those cells, not at this rate.

Freth started to grow antsy as Vaughn wouldn't reply to him. In a way, she couldn't blame him, he wasn't built up for this sort of thing. He was a spy. If nothing else, he'd have to run and regroup as opposed to actually putting up a fight, let alone take damage. He was still reeling from the chaos that initially started by the Guzzlord. With Eri speaking up, however, she looked towards the throne once more. Underneath it. Freth was about to see about moving the throne; once again putting her telekinetic prowess to use since they were severely short on time with a rampaging monstrosity below them. However, Freth would find that she had new problems. Another abomination, for all intents and purposes. And oddly still, unlike, the Guzzlord below, this thing doesn't look natural, as if straight out of Frankenstein's laboratory. Vaughn's sudden emotional spike started to alert that this thing was also bad news, but also apparently some sort of hint of unwanted familiarity. "The hell is that thing?"

"A Silvally? Here? What's this thing doing here and not fighting the Guzzlord!?" The voice in her head spoke up in surprise.

"A what?" Freth ended up speaking up.

"Look out!" Freth went wide eyed, diving out of the way, and unfortunately breaking her hold on Vaughn, dropping him onto the floor. That looked like a Night Slash attack, but...yet it wasn't. As if it was too strong to be one. "They're supposed to be created to be Ultra Beast killers. While no opportunity has been witnessed them doing that, the fact that one is here leaves a lot of things suspect." The voice continued.

"What? That Guzzlord thing is an Ultra Beast?" Freth spoke up, putting two and two together.

"Correct. Though oddly enough, this thing has been modified to be Dark-type aligned. That's not going to do much good against Guzzlord."

"I don't think Guzzlord is in any of this things priorities!" Freth replied. "Hell, I don't think I can do anything to it!" Freth left to question if its actually trying to guard Zygarde for any particular reason, but whatever the case, she needed to give Eri the opportunity to get to that throne and get Zac moving. "To hell with it. Old fashioned way it is." Freth pushed herself off the ground, taking out a Pokeball. "Ninetales!" she called out, sending the Alolan Ninetales out for battle. Unfortunately, a realization. She...wasn't quite sure what the Alolan variants were capable of. Last she remembered clearly, this Pokemon was still a Vulpix and her now late love never got around to training it in any capacity. The way the Ninetales stood, however, did indicate that it did receive training at some point or another, but with the countless conflicting static-like memories, she couldn't discern what did or didn't happen. She really wasn't sure what an Alolan Ninetales was capable of.

"Hey!" She would then shout to Eri. "Hurry up and get the rest of Zac! We'll hold this thing off the best we can!" At this point, she'd have to wing it as usual. "Ninetales, get ready!"

"Ninnnneee!" The Ninetales howled and suddenly, in a rather odd case, hail stones started to come down into the throne room.

"I didn't ask for Hail..." Freth said.

"Don't you remember? Ninetales has Snow Warning!"
the voice interjected, rather frustrated at Freth's lack of memories at this point.

"Okay, that gives me options. Ninetales! Blizzard!" Freth shouted.

"NINNNE!" The Ninetales with its cloudy like tails fanned out summoned a mighty snowstorm upon the aggressive Silvally.

"GO!" Freth would once again shout to Eri. She needed to get moving. Now.

Terror. Abject, absolute terror. This is what nightmares were made up of. This is what the darkness and chaos and absolute stuff of bad dreams subsisted on.

Fear nearly paralyzed her but the roar got her feet moving harder than before. She veered away from the Silvally as it charged at them, attacked...

Freth screamed move. Zac cried in pain, and she wasn't going to let him down. Not now. Not ever. "On it!!" She cries, breaking into a sprint with the Core securely latched to her, avoiding hailstones on her way. "Hold on, buddy..." She comforts the Core while running with it, heart pounding in her chest and noise around her, briefly, blurring..

She slides like going into home plate besides and hiding by the throne, small enough to fit there, gaze frantically searching. "C'mon, little guys, come on...where are you...Zac needs you..." She whimpers, searching around the throne for any sign of getting under it, either literally or pushing something around.

Not a Noise

Eri and Zac made it to the throne in one piece, the brave youngster pushing aside their own fear to do what was necessary. As they made it to the throne Zac's glow began to brighten and he seemed healthier just being nearby. As Eri questioned how to get to the cells Zac would respond by letting out a sort of call and a bright flash of light. A few seconds later a single cell wormed out from underneath the throne and was absorbed by Zac. Then came a second. Two more. Four more. Slowly but surely they were coming out and Zac was absorbing them one by one. At this rate he'd soon be at 10%.

The Blizzard completely engulfed the strange creature, the billowing Hail making it impossible for it to avoid the frigid winds which threatened to blow it away, the creature digging its sharp claws in the ground to remain in place as it bore the brunt of the storm. The creature would let out a roar and as the Blizzard started letting up it made a mad dash for a nearby statue of a Alolan Marowak, the stone sculpture of the bone wielding Pokemon set high upon a pedestal.

The creature would make a look around it and if Freth could spot it quick enough she would note the eyes of the statue flashed red before the tips of the creature's crest turned red as well. Standing by the statue the thing would then ready its self as it dug into the ground, then letting out a garbled roar and unleashing a powerful Heat Wave upon Ninetales, and by its positioning to the side of the room also aiming to ensnare Freth and Vaughn as well as the helpless Eri and Zac.

When and however they managed to avoid being roasted Vaughn would catch his breath again and give Freth some vital information. "This room...was made for it to...to defend..." He said, pointing to yet another statue, one of an Alolan Raichu. In fact, there were numerous Pokemon statues in this room now that she was made aware. Did they all do the same?
PostPosted: Thu Oct 21, 2021 5:03 pm
The Blizzard attack had to do some extreme damage, Freth figured. But it wasn't enough to deter this Silvally thing much to anyone's chargrin, let alone Freth's. When it bolted to the other side of the room however, Freth stared in confusion once it perched itself upon the Alolan Marowak's statue and the change of demeanor that it had. "Now what?"

"It changed type!" the voice exclaimed. "That's not possible! They're supposed to run on a system built into them! Literally a disc shoved in them like they were a computer!"

To make matters worse was when the Silvally retaliates, with a Heat Wave attack no less. The good news is that she wasn't weak to the attack like she was back when she was the standard variant of Articuno hybrid. Bad news, it wasn't exactly something she wanted to be in anyhow as the attack seared right into her. Worse news, Ninetales ended up taking the attack as well. Terrible news, it was also going for Eri and Zac.

"Augh! So in other words, some b*****d got this thing to cheat!" Freth said, infuriated over the developments. But then a realization. The statue itself...then took around the throne room. Various statues of various Pokemon. And with Vaughn finally coming back to the world of the living for the most part, it started to click. "...thats how." Freth said.

"What are you thinking?"the voice asked. The feathers on Freth's face and on the feather tips of her wings lit up.

"No longer a dark type now, then?" Freth would then ask, reaching out toward the Silvally. This Silvally was going on a flight...down the flight of stairs they came from if this worked.

All Monique could do for a moment is stare at the being whose suction now threatened to lift the castle off its very foundations. Guzzlord may have been hurt, but it was angry, and if nothing was done, she was going to experience its stomach firsthand, like all the guards and the others who were trying to fight it off.

"I'm gonna need something that's not a Ghost type if I have any chance of stopping this thing!" she called out, unsure what to do with herself or who could possibly answer. Marowak twirled its bone while Oricorio's feathers ruffled nervously at the unnatural breeze.

Even though she was so used to issuing orders, now she needed them, and ammo, if she was going to be of any help.
