Seeing that it's billowing flame wasn't stopping Sephiroth, although it was sapping a great amount of the purple energy away. At the last possible moment, the demon folded it's wings in front of himself.
The silver-haired fighter slammed hard, and bounced off the demon. The forceful impact made the creature stumble, wheezing out a great rush of fire that wiped out the last of Sephiroth's shield, forcing the man to back away to avoid the hazard.
The demon growled, it's wings bloodied and broken as they snapped back behind him in a weakened manner. His frozen arm had also shattered, leaving a grotesque stump. His wings raised themselves above his head, engulfing themselves in their own blood, before whipping back down, splattering the demon's gore on the ground and revealing a pair of fully restored wings. He did a similar gesture with his damaged arm. Though he looked like he was unscratched, the demon had to sacrafice some energy to become whole again.
The abyss demon's entire body then burst into unholy flame, and he bum-rushed Sephiroth, intent on slamming him into a tree and tearing into him with his teeth and claws.
- - - - -
The mage's flung teeth scrapped against her side, intentionally slowing down just enough so they could dig in deep, and rip their way out the other side, tearing skin and muscle painfully. His tendrils finally succeeded in removing the guns from her grasp, having had to grow small razor edges and slice through her fingers to do so.
The mage had taken advantage of her sudden injury, his magical appendages sapping strength from her as they quickly wound around her arms, legs, and torso. Giving a roar of victory, he forcefully slammed her into the ground, hovering close enough above her to stare into her eyes and grin. His hands smacked the dirt as he muttered a word, and the ground shifted beneath the vampiress. Long thin spikes made of bone pierced out of the earth, in an attempt to impale Rosemary through the bones in her limbs, rendering her unable to move.
- - - - -
Cian managed to just barely free himself from the black hunter's grip on his leg, cutting the soft part of the creature's limb in such a manner that it was forced to release him. The hunters seemed to have become more agressive now that two of their own had fallen.
Veni had managed to distract and block the attacks of one hunter just long enough for Cian to slice most of it's arm off, when a tree was thrown in their midst... the plant had been uprooted, and hurled, forcing all three to scatter. The niearcim crusher demon was among them now, and it hurled another ruined tree as the hunters scurried over to him. The crusher's arms were waving about in an unusual manner, and then suddenly Veni felt a familar energy, although heavily tainted by evil... dark necromatic essence filled the air, and the corpses of the slain black hunters were revived, their injuries healing themselves. The crusher then shouted something in the niearcim tongue as all the hunters and the crusher himself rushed the two vampires. As the black hunters attacked, Veni and Cian noticed they seemed to have a slight disturbance in the air around them, and there was a buzz of some sort of energy. Whatever it was, they realized it had enhanced their already deadly strength and speed, making them even tougher foes than before.

The sounds of battle raged on outside the mausoleum ((Boy that's a difficult word to spell, yay for Google's spell check)) the roars of demons and cries of pain reaching Daphne's ears as she moved further into the structure. She entered just in time, several of the strange eyeball-esque familars of the niearcim possessed soldier passing by, chittering as they searched for her and the debris-concealed kitsune.
Indecision possibly gripped Daphne for a moment. Should she stay here and hide? Wait out the battle until her rescuers come for her? That didn't seem prudent, from the sound of things, they were beginning to lose, and it wouldn't be long before the mages searched the mausoleum. She had recovered nearly all her strength she realized, since she was no longer attached to that damnable soul-sucking thing. Perhaps she should try to help her friends? She had heard Rosemary's shouts of pain out there earlier. But they were so vastly out numbered... What should she do?
Run, child.
Run to he who you avoided.
The voice was so faint and yet it was clear as day in her head. It was full of urgency, that she should act quickly.
Do not dwell amongst the dead. They'll find you here.
She could tell that unlike the hell spirits that had possesed her earlier, this voice felt different. It wasn't full of malice, just begging and pleading with her, urging her to take action. What was this voice? Perhaps the mausoleum was haunted? Could some of the spirits that resided inside have watched the ongoing events and were trying to advise her?
Run to them, and flee from this evil...

Sephiroth braced himself and thrust his sword at the demon intent on impaling it. The Abyss grabbed the weapon with his thick skinned hands and managed to stop it before it could go into its more weak fleshy area much. The most injury it sustained was on its hands.
The creature then played a test of strength with Sephiroth, two good arms versus the man's one, as it it pushed the weapon back towards the man and hit him in the gut with the hilt, knocking him over.
The thing then pushed the blade out of his way, but not out of Sephiroth's hand so it could pounce him. The claws dug into both of Sephiroth's arms and he made a pained noise from the impact. The fire burned at his arms and lower legs and barely touched the chest and clothing of the rest of him. The demon wasn't done there. It lowered its head down to bite into Sephiroth's neck, but he had gotten his footing on the demon and painfully flung it off of him using the demons momentum against it.
The positive effect of this action was that the demon was now off of him, while the negative one was that he now had nasty cuts on both arms. Breathing heavy, he got to his feet as quickly as he could and sent a pillar of flame up under the demon. He didn't seem to be able to raise his heavy sword very well anymore, so he clipped it and tried to heal at least his left arm some.
He was at a loss as to what he should do... at this rate, he'd be almost defenseless. If the thing did manage to eat a chunk out of him, he hoped it would corrupt the thing even if it was painful. Maybe he could teleport away since it wasn't gone if you went somewhere else in the realm and recover, but that would give the demon time to recover as well. He decided to prepare himself to retreat in a flash of feathers if he continued to take hard hits with little apparent progress.

Cian watched as Veni licked the blood. Smart, Cian thought, seeing the point right away. Perhaps...But Daphne...Could Cian let her see him like that? He shook his head then readied himself, spinning the knives in his hands. He sighed. this would be hard. He ran at the Hunters, a scowl on his face.
----------------
Daph shuddered when the voices spoke to her. There were so many voices in her head this morning. But she felt like..she felt like she could trust them. Daph closed her eyes and with a smile, she replied: ok. I'll do as you ask.
As soon as the soldier's eyes were off of the structure, Daphne sprinted out of the mausoleum. Her vampiric speed took her far in a short amount of time. "Cian?!" She screamed, "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!"She ran more, and finally ended up near where the mage and Rosemary were. She slid to a stop, her eyes wide. But what could she do? She saw a discarded knife lying near by. It held Cian's innitials. Daph picked it up, her hands shaking. As long as she was quiet enough...

Jacob swore as he had finally arrived in Limbo a short while ago, being unable to transport himself directly to Gaia due to the barrier that had been put up. He had a feeling that if everything turned out alright, he wouldn't hear the end of this from the vampires, nor would he let himself forget about it.
At least now he was in a realm where he could try to break through the barrier, however long that may take.
- - - - -
*The niearcim crusher amongst the black hunters inhaled deeply, and sprayed acid in a wide arc, slinging it from side to side, forcing the vampires to avoid the deadly liquid while it seeped through and caused the illusions to flicker.... the hunters quickly submitted the false ones to memory, which was easily done due to their strange hive-mind like structure.
Niearcim Crusher: "The blonde vampire, disable him! He's the creator of the illusions!"
The large niearcim demon rushed at what they thought was Veni, half of the hunter demons accompanying him. They swiftly attacked a few of his illusions that hadn't been acid sprayed, until the large demon managed to zero in on him, hocking a great projectile of deadly acid towards the vampire's face.
Cian temporarily found things a bit easier, managing to dig knife into the small of the back of a hunter while it pounced on one of his illusion copies. The demon writhed, trying to flip over and scratch at him, while the two others that had been distracted by copies rushed to their fallen kin's aid.

Daphne's speed served her well, but her scream gave away her position. The possessed soldier had started inspecting the pile of debris where Black had been hiding when she yelled out. He immediately reacted, rushing towards her location.
At the unexpected scream, the mage sapping away Rosemary's strength was momentarily distracted. That was all Rosemary needed to began stealing away her energy back. She only got a small amount of it back though before the niearcim mage growled and began a power struggle with her, trying to steal back what he wanted. His sharp, bone-like hands circled around her around her neck, pressing into her skin. Just as it seemed like he might completely drain her, Daphne was able to pierce Cian's dagger into the back of the mage's skull.. His hold on Rosemary was completely released as he zipped back in pain, roaring and hissing, blood spilling from the injury.
Enraged, the niearcim mage ripped the dagger out of his skull. His hands began to glow with a dark energy, faint visions of skulls and twisted tortured faces visible in the waves it made in the air in front of him... Rosemary recognized what spell he was about to cast, the stream of the damned. A powerful, destructive spell that acted like a beam of death, slicing through nearly anything in it's way. Before it could be cast though, something unsual happened...
...A small number of black hunters and the elemental ogres were returning back from Barton town, running as if in retreat. Moments later, gunshots rang out, and one of the ogres fell over with a large gaping hole in it's head.
A small group of Limboian soldiers, backed up by Gaian officers had made their way to the graveyard. The force didn't seem like it would be enough to stop the on going threat, but it would delay things hopefully.
Soldier: "You two! Grab anyone you can, and get out of here!"
- - - - - -
*It was this same group that interrupted the fight between Sephiroth and the abyss demon, one of the soldiers using a type of rapid-fire shotgun to pull away the creature's attention. Soon, the majority of the mages and demons were attacking the soldiers.*

When Daph heard the gunshots, she sighed with relief but continued to aim. Finally, she flicked the knife out. Years of (what she thought of as) pointless self defense when she had too much time oon her hands, proved valueable. The dagger, moving quickly, slicing through the air as if an axe, through paper. It aimed for the neck, a vulnerable place in the armor or clothing he was wearing. She prayed absently to god or some other superhuman entity that it would hit the mage.
----------------
Cian moved with grace and agility, doing his work quickly as the hunters went after Veni's illusions. Truth be told, it was difficult, but he had heard of daph's escape--through her scream--and of course, he now realized that she trusted him. This gave him a burst of energy and speed.

((Did Daphne throw a second dagger? I'll just say she did.)) The second blade was deflected by the enraged mage, who wasn't about to be stabbed again.
Mage: "Ruin, has the time expired on our disability to summon yet?!"
The possessed soldier apparently named ruined simply roared strange words, and opened a portal in mid air behind Daphne. More black hunters began to pour out, threatening to trample the vampiress if she didn't move, as they began to engage the everyone in fierce, vicious battle. At the number that were emerging from the sudden portal, they would have to flee, or otherwise risk being captured or destroyed.
A soldier ran up, and sensing there wasn't enough time for subtleness, used his shotgun to literally blast away the bone stalagmates that impaled Rosemary to the ground. He was promptedly struck and bound by the mage's tendrils, his weapon scattering to the earth before Rosemary as he struggled to free himself.
- - - - -
Cian suddenly found himself alone... the black hunters had pulled a reversal with the illusions, making him think the real Veni was still fighting alongside with him, when instead they had lured the shadow illusionist far away. Sudden cuts and gashes from the seemingly increasing speed and viciousness of the black hunters were making the fight seem like one that would not be won at this time, with the injuries he was returning to the hunters being not as severe.
- - - - -
The hunters and crusher demon mage know they had him cornered and weakened, and they moved in for the kill. Cuts and gashes began to cover the vampire's body, as they forced him further into the sunlight. It was a vicious blow to the torso that forced Veni on his back, leaving him too weak, covered in wounds and acid and sunlight to be able to fight back, let alone lift a hand against them. One of the hunters pressed a claw deep against his chest, pentrating through skin and pushing against the sternum bone that protected his heart.
Do we destroy him now? Pierce his heart? End his existance?
Crusher: Hmm, no. A new battle rages on. Take him to the soul drainer, we'll need the extra power he'll be able to provide for us.
Pity, we wanted to feast. An annoying illusionist. He put up a fair fight. A satisfying accomplishment meal he would have made.
The claw that was near his heart dragged painfully down his ribcage, before forcefully pulling itself out. Just as they were dragging him back, the crusher stopped them for a moment.
Crusher: "Hold a moment. Cleave through his ribs, and carefully grasp his heart. We'll carry him forward in that manner, he case he does try another of his tricks again. It will be a painful reminder to him as to who is in control now."
- - - - -
The abyss demon was already in the thick of the fight, the possessed soldier known as Ruin muttering some spell over him to heal the demon. Sephiroth was only partially successful in his attack, as the demon was distracted by setting flame to Gaian officers who lacked the Limboian special armors that provided enough protection. His sword sliced deep into the monster's shoulder, as he was moving about wildly. However, the weapon almost seemed to be pushed out by an unseen force. This was followed by a super nova of burning energy-sapping flame, neutralizing Sephiroth's barrier once again. Smacking the sword out of his body and holding the injury with a claw, the demon twirled to face Sephiroth with burning eyes. Out of complete reaction, he grabbed a strange sort of sub-machine gun from one of the dying soldiers, and fired it at the swordsman that began to vex him so badly.
Ruin for his part unholstered his assault rifle and gave poorly-aimed fire as well, both small and large caliber of sharp, deadly crystallic shard ammunition zipping through the air at Sephiroth.

...Rosemary couldn't stand, she was still so tired and hurt. She sat up and grabbed the gun and set it in slug mode. The mage then found the gun aimed at her as she fired upon him.
---
Veni became afraid when a blade was pierced against his chest. He was going ot be impailed. "Ah," he gritted his teeth at the new gash in his chest which was already slowly healing, though not as fast as it could.
"What sort of satisfying accomplishment is it for many to take out one vampire during the daytime and even have trouble doing it? Not to mention you needed a mage to help you and even revive two of your fallen. How tough does that make you look? What a satisfying meal that would have made. It just proves how weak pieces of s**t you really are," he thought as he was dragged a few paces.
Then the crusher demon suggested something he hoped he wouldn't. He hissed at them as he was lifted up to be carefully carried as they... He cried out as the claws entered him and scraped up against his most sensitive of parts. How he wished his heart would still itself. That it would stop scraping up against those claws.
-----
BlackMN decided to follow the soldiers who didn't seem to see her. And then the scream at Veni that came from Cian. She hid in the brush and saw what was happening. Fire pillars began to rise under the hunters.
"If you want to get out alive, run for your life and find the others," said a vanishing Veni illusion.
-----
Sephiroth jumped back into a low tree branch after his weapon was pushed out of the demon. Seeing that they were resulting to gunfire, he took cover behind the tree he was on and received very minimal damage. You think the demon was vexed by him...how do you think he felt about the demon? He wanted it to die already. He crouched low, the ground turned red under the Abyss and Ruin, and up went a pillar of flame from beneath them. He then quickly tried to prepare a draining spell of his own. Unfortunately unlike the demon, he would get no benefit from it only weakened enemies.
