True, but at least they protected the planets they were worsipped on. And no slavery. And they were going to reveal themselves once the people gained a good level of sophistication and all that.

They still made the occasional grievously bad call, though. Then again, they're only...er..."Asgard" sounds wrong in this phrase...

..................yeah, thats gotta be some kind of oxymoron.

It was the assumption that the people they protected were still simple-minded, so they passed all their technology off as magic until the people developed enough to figure it out on their own. Weird strategy.

I like the Wraith as a bay guy because they have to survive on eating humans, sure they can go a while with out eating but they need humans to survive, though I should ask have they tried other animals as sustenance?

The only reason the Asgard were really worshiped was because the worlds they colonized with humans were primitive, just like we are, as the Nox put it oh so kindly, and a lot of times primitive cultures need a constant stability of some kind, and in most cases it's a false idol of some kind, the Asgard did not use this to their advantage as the Go'uld did. I mean look at the Go'uld forcing human and gaffa to worship them as gods, while the Asgard were more like teachers, using holograms as so not to freak out their follows.

Yeah, I said something like that.

The Nox did put it kindly. They call us "very young."

I remember in SGA season 1, when they had Steve the Wraith prisoner, they tried to feed him with other animals, but he wouldn't take them.
