Using a key from the ring that had been given to him on his first day, Daniel slipped in one of the back entrances of Aqua Springs. Daniel moved as stealthily as he could manage. He had no desire to be stopped while lurking about with a duffel bag across his back. Finally making it to the small unused room that he had located a day or so earlier, Daniel whisked inside and locked the door.

The room was full of boxes, all along the walls and stacked almost to the ceiling. Or so it seemed on first glance. Daniel grabbed a small number of boxes and pulled them away as a single piece, revealing them to be a simple shell that he used as a disguise. As he moved and stacked the facades that appeared to be boxes to one side of the room, he revealed a small sleeping bag with his security unifrom lay on top of it.

Daniel lay the duffel bag down at the foot of the sleeping bag, the sound of books shifting coming from inside. He then unbuckled and pulled off the long black leather sheathe that was holding Batakos to his thigh. He had made it just last night. After a sit down with a computer and a midnight visit to the dumpster behind a leather goods factory. Setting the rod and holster aside, he proceeded to change clothes. Once he had his uniform on, he took up a towel he had snagged from the laundry area. Daniel carefully wrapped Batakos and its holster in the towel, careful to make it seem inconspicuous. That done, Daniel straightened his glasses, and then headed out to start a patrol.  

[Jessi_Deramis]

Jessi was working on somepaper work for AS. It was just general paperwork, mostly filing away all the new members' contact info into the Roladex. She had volunteered to work today. She loved working at AS, and no one else wanted to man the information desk the day after New Year's Eve. She was happy to do it.

She was also hoping that Amy and Kits might show up with some snacks.

*Karrie was the first to get to Aqua Springs. He stopped at the door to hold it open for everyone else*

*Mitri had carried Thistle from Kits' house because the whole way there, she'd been under his feet and he almost tripped a couple of times. He set her down inside the door*

*the last one inside, Velcore stood on his back legs for a moment to see over everyone and see who was at the front desk* Hi Jessi.

Amy had instantly changed her outfit when she stepped outside. It was freezing! She was sooo thankful she could transfigure clothing.

When they arrived at Aqua Springs, Amy thanked Karrie for holding the door open for everyone and then went over to the information desk. She set a few trays of food down on the raised part and smiled at Jessi.

"Hey Jessi! It's good to see you, and happy new year!"  

[Jessi_Deramis]

Jessi looked up when she heard some commotion and her eyes widened when she saw the crowd that had come in. So many people and creatures! Wow!

Then, when Velcore said hi to her, she started to look more closely and quickly recognized many of the faces. She started to beam.

"Oh hi guys, hi Velcore!! It's so good to see all of you! I'm so glad you came. How are you all?"

She looked over at Amy when she sat down trays of food and quickly stood up to look at all that she had.

"Happy new year to you, too, Amy. Happy new year to all of you!"

As soon as Mitri put her down, Thistle turned back around and squeaked up at him. "Mitri!"

She wanted him to hold her again!  

[Kits Rose]

*walks up to the desk, Gwee sitting on her shoulder* Hi Jessi. Happy new year to you too!

*stays by the door, unable to see a space in front of him large enough to fit through without stepping on any smaller animals*

*grins at Jessi, seeing how surprised she was to see them all*

Thistle, you can walk for a little while. My arms are getting tired!

Sakura had gotten a flyer about the new winter area for the resort known as Aqua Springs. Upon deciding she should take a look since she was new to the area so once she arrived she walked in and saw that she was in a near the information desk "Hello..."she said as she wandered inside and took a look around

Jessi smiled brightly at Kits. "Hi, Kits! It's so great to see you all here! I haven't even met some of your pets before now."

She lifted the top of the first tray Amy had brought in, intent on helping Amy out by spreading everything out on the desk so everyone could have some. But when she saw what it contained, she gasped and started to smile largley.

"Muffins!!! All different kinds of muffins!!"

Amy laughed and nodded to Jessi. "Yep. Blueberry, poppy seed, pumpkin, mixed berry... You know, it might be best if we spread out everything in the lounge. More room for everyone that way.

She reached into the tray, picked up a muffin, and then tossed one to Velcore with a wink. Then, she and Jessi started carrying the trays into the lounge.

Before she got in, though, she heard a girl say hello and she turned to look back at her. She smiled brightly. "Hello, there! Welcome to Aqua Springs! You picked a good day to come. We have a lot of food to share with everyone! Want to come into the lounge and have some? I'm Amy, by the way. One of the co-owners of Aqua Springs. Over there is Kits, the other owner!"

She smiled over at Kits. She didn't want to say too much and wanted to let Kits speak for herself.

Meanwhile, Thistle looked up at Mitri, squeaked softly, and then nuzzled his leg in understanding. Then, she turned, looked for Smok, and then started to chase after him. They had a whole resort to chase each other in now!!
