Henrietta lay there for a few moments longer. The rain pouring down, the mud clinging to skin, cloth and hair. Finally she sat up and looked over at Eunmi, her burgundy hair drenched and stuck in clumps with mud.
"I-i think I need a shower," she finally said. And a change of clothes.

"Yeah," Eunmi sighed. "I am beginning to think that I can't wear nice clothes and be a Pokemon Trainer at the same time."

"I-I'm sorry! I-it's not the training." She looked off to the side, at Frate and Socant training. "I-i ruined your clothes. A-again. I-i think I'm just bad luck."

"Don't be sorry... for that," Eunmi said, standing up. She held her hand out to help Henrietta up.
"And I don't really care for luck. That's something you make for yourself," Eunmi said. "Maybe we should get going."

With Eunmi's help, Henrietta was soon on her feet. Curious about what Eunmi meant, she looked at the taller girl. "H-hum? Wh-what should I be sorry about?" she asked.

Eunmi hesitated and then smiled.
"Don't worry about it. Hey, I got you guys food n' stuff," Eunmi said, changing the subject. She nodded towards D-Vee, who was holding a smaller umbrella and Eunmi's things.
"Why don't you guys take a break from training, we'll get cleaned up, and then eat? I think by now we'll have to reheat it anyway."

"S-so to the hotel, then."

After heading all the way to the hotel room, finding Salieri gone and taking a shower, Henrietta was sitting on the bed wearing running shoes, stockings that disappeared underneath a knee length flared skirt, and a cardigan over a tank top. By now the rain had settled to a light drizzle in Striaton.

Eunmi had left D-Vee alone to handle the food while she showered - probably not the best idea, but she was confident that the others would prevent him from devouring everything.
She walked out of the bathroom, towel in hand as she patted her hair dry - she didn't typically keep it down, but she was too tired to put it up. Oddly enough, she didn't have any coloring in her hair anymore, and just sleek black locks remained of her longer-than-it-appeared hair.
She was wearing jeans, her feet bare for the moment, and a black tank top. She wasn't nearly ready to go anywhere, but she assumed they were going to be there for a bit while they ate and her hair dried anyway.
"So," Eunmi said, flopping on the bed. "You're taking the 'gym challenge', right?"

"Y-yeah," Henrietta, who looked pretty tired herself, said. Of course, she would be tired for a different reason than Eunmi. See, she had a soul sucking candle using her head as a resting place.
"I managed to get my first badge today, b-but we couldn't have done it alone, h-huh Melty?"
[Heh, I could have done it all by myself, the hell are you spewing, brat?]

"Oh, cool," Eunmi said. "But I thought it was a one-on-one challenge?"

Henrietta shook her head. "Gyms can make their own rules as long as it ends up approved, I think."
And because there was food, for her, Henrietta would eat. The last day she'd thrown up anything she ate, and the day before that she hadn't eaten anything. So today, starving, she ate with as much grace as a starving person could.
"What. About. You?" she asked between swallows of food.

"Oh, uh.. yeah," Eunmi scratched the back of her head. "I..."
Considering how hard Henrietta worked to get her badge, Eunmi wasn't sure if it was appropriate to tell her that she battled the gym leader for a free meal and had no idea what the badges were for until reading about it earlier at the Trainers' School.
"I suppose it'll help us get stronger, right?"

Henrietta shook her head. "Badges are like... good scores for passing a test. Getting stronger is to earn the badges and eventually enter the Pokemon League," Henrietta explained.
She finished her food quickly and then looked over at Eunmi. "H-hum, th-that's waht I'm told, anyways," she said.

"Tests?" Eunmi hated tests.
"If it weren't for those people in the Dream Yard, I wouldn't really be concerned with getting stronger, to be honest," Eunmi said, lying back into the mattress, arms folded behind her head.
"I don't get their purpose - whether it's right or wrong - but I don't think it's right that they use force to try and get what they want."

After a moment of silence Henrietta said, "is it?" She looked at her Pokemon, Socant and Frate and said, "we forcefully capture them. Isn't it the same if they're forcefully taken from us? I-i mean people say they're friends, b-but aren't we treating them like things? C-calling them ours an-and," her voice broke and she looked down at her bed and sniffled.
"I-i've been thinking. What if Darumi is h-h-happier where he is?"
