Once they came home, Mala offered Van and Kai both a quick hug. "Welcome home~"

((I am amused that every time I say I'm going to get off some time in the future you automatically say good night like I'm getting off right then and there. XD ))

"How's Larai? Has she calmed down any?" Van asked as he hugged Mala back.

{Sorry, I just like to get that in before hand and not seem like I'm ignoring it. Sometimes I forget to reply in OOC, so that's a habit I've developed. XD Sorry once again.}

"She wanted to sleep it over, so I let her." Mala stated, shrugging slightly. "Sometimes when I'm upset I need to do that, so I thought that'd be the best decision."

((It's fine, it's fine. XD I'm just amused is all.))

"Thankfully you haven't needed to do that in a long time." Van said with a smile while Kai wandered off. Good sign that everything was fine with their marriage, and it might be cause to worry if she was taking an inexplicable nap.

Mala nodded in agreement. "Definately. Everything's going well and I'm thankful for that." she said, offering him a light kiss on the cheek afterwards. "Also, thanks for taking out that jerk as quickly as you did. I'd rather not deal with him any longer than we have to."

"And I suppose it's better we have one kid's approval on beating him silly than both of them crying out for demon rights." Van said with a sigh.

"Larai's a sweet little girl. This is just like the time she freaked out about Kai stepping on that spider. She'll be upset for a little bit and eventually get over it." Mala assured Van, smiling at him now.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Now refresh my memory....What were we going to try tonight again...?" Van said with a grin.

 

[M3Gnificent]

Mala smirked and whispered suggestively in his ear. "Shall we go to bed now and try it?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Once we're sure the kids are asleep. This time we should probably evacuate the room as quickly as possible before we're overcome by parental fuzzies again." Van said with a smile.

Mala snuggled herself close, grinning broadly still. "I can hardly wait~"

Larai was burried under her covers, keeping calm as she finished plotting her little escape. She seemed so peaceful, and for one who isn't paying much attention to her breathing, she really did seem like she was peacefully asleep.

"Going to be counting down the hours?" Van said as he wrapped his arms around Mala and held her close.

Kai meanwhile had returned to his room and flopped down on his bed with a book, figuring he'd get scolded for disturbing his sleeping sister somehow.

((Okay, now I'm going to bed. XD Good night and I probably won't be on 'til tuesday at the earliest. If at all.))

"You know me all too well." Mala purred.

Larai patiently waited for Kai to go to sleep and for her parents to head into their room already. She almost couldn't wait to go help out that poor, poor soul.

((Huzzah! Free airport wifi and an hour and a half of down time before boarding! biggrin ))

Eventually Kai passed through living room where Van and Mala were cuddled up on the couch waiting for the kids to go to sleep. He rubbed his eyes sleepily, all ready for bed as he went back up to his room. "Night mom, night dad..." he said with a yawn.

"Goodnight, sweetie." Mala said, offering a soft smile to him as he went up to bed. Once Kai was out of sight, however, she looked up at Van with a 'you know what this means' sort of smirk.
