*stunned at Katana's remarks* I'm very good at supressing my feelings and not so good at expressing them. I've never dealt with anything like this before and I'm having trouble finding the right moment. This is rather complicated for both of us. I can hardly imaging the flack he is getting at work because of me.

Right moment? If you wait for the "right moment", you'll never say what you feel! And Dougherty's a big boy, if he's getting flak, I'm sure he can deal with it.

*she sighs* Katana, it's very dangerous for him. If Big Paulie found out I was in love with a cop……I don't even want to think about what could happen. *she takes a huge gulp of her Manhattan*

Pft, who ever said anything about Big Paulie finding out anything? This is something that is between you and Dougherty.....be happy that you've found love....and why is it you can admit you love him to me, but you can't say the words to him?  

[Psyzapp]

*she looks at Katana and it at a complete loss for words. She takes another huge gulp of her Manhattan and looks at Katana completely dumbfounded.* I don't know. *she takes another huge gulp of her drink.* Perhaps I'm frightened.

*she sighs and gives Psyzapp a sad smile* It's okay to be frightened, but is it okay if you never tell him how you feel? If you never find out how he truly feels? Is that something you're willing to live with for the rest of your life?  

[Psyzapp]

No…it isn't. *she takes a very large drink of her Manhattan and then looks down and sighs* You're right…and if he leaves because of it…then it wasn't meant to be.

*She takes a sip of her drink* I think you might be surprised. I don't think he would leave.

*she looks at her near-empty glass* At least you have an idea of how Dougherty feels about you. Now me on the other hand....*her voice trails off.*

*she smiles at Katana* Give it some time. Enjoy each others company and get to know one another better. Officer Dougherty and I have been seeing each other much longer than you and Officer Showcase have. *she reaches over and pats her hand.* Be patient. wink

*she gives Psyzapp a small smile* Easy for you to say....at least Dougherty comes by the bar to see you. *she takes a deep breath and stands up, then goes behind the bar to make herself another drink.*

Not always. I'm sure being a cop isn't easy. The hours can really be awful depending on what you're stuck doing.

*she glances at Psyzapp after taking a sip of her drink* Yeah, I know, but I'm still not going to get my hopes up, ya know? Won't get hurt that way......

Yeah I know and I understand completely. Just take it a bit at a time.

Well, I guess he's out on duty again, I haven't heard from him today.....I guess he'll show up when he shows up....*she takes a sip of her drink and glances away from Pszyapp.*  

[Psyzapp]

Looks like you and I are in the same boat. wink Don't worry…I'm sure he'll show.
