*after placing the cups on the counter, Mitri picks up Smok, who hadn't woken up when Karrie moved, off the floor to carry him home too*

Tommy smiled and nodded to Sakura. He started to make another tea in a separate tea cup. A few minutes later, the bags were steeped just right and he handed her the cup on a new saucer.

"Here ya go, Sakura."

{{Sorry Sakura! I'm getting really tired, so I think I'm heading out for a little bit. You can control Tommy if you want if you need more drinks. smile I hope you'll come back really soon! Feel free to come in and play the games or whatever whenever you want. smile }}

Sakura thanked Tommy as she got her drink and took a nice long sip and another bite of her muffin

*gets Mwee off the mantle* Bye, Sakura, Tommy, and Jessi. *starts to walk out carrying two of her dragons* Bye, Daniel. *leaves with Mitri not far behind her*

Daniel steps back and stands aside as people start to make their way out. Seeing that several of them are carrying pets, he quickly steps to the front door of the lobby and holds the door open for everyone. As each person passes, he gives a small nod and a tight smile.

Sakura opens her sketchbook and begins to draw as she takes a sip of her tea and bit of her chocolate muffin thinking they are really tasty

Daniel steps back and stands aside as people start to make their way out. Seeing that several of them are carrying pets, he quickly steps to the front door of the lobby and holds the door open for everyone. As each person passes, he gives a small nod and a tight smile.

While Jessi was still in the lounge, Daniel let himself flop into her chair behind the reception desk. Lowering his head into his hands, Daniel sighed to himself. Maybe he had been too distracted at MW, or maybe it had been the size of the lounge. Whatever the case he had never felt such panic, or at least not in suhc a hurry. Looking up, Daniel leaned over and tugged his towel parcel over to himself. Unwrapping the rod, Daniel slid it out of the holster, and placed the rest back on the desk.

"Or is this all your fault?"

Had he grown attached to the rod? Addicted? It had been once he found it that everything had begun spilling out. That he had started noticing things. So maybe it had been the same before, but only he hadn't known anything else. Leaning back in the chair, Daniel absently spun the rod in the palm of his hand.

Sakura's ear twitched at the sound of the voice she assumed was the man dressed in a security uniform, she supposed he was some kind of officer but she wasn't sure and she didn't feel it her place to ask too many questions about things or people, she preferred they came to her first and she didn't like to pry so she just slightly shook her head before she went back to her sketch, taking another bite of the tasty muffin and a mouthful of tea to wash it down

After finishing her chocolate chip muffin and the nice hot cup of tea, Sakura closed her sketchbook, making sure that the business card didn't fall out before she looked around the room once more as she got up from her chair, pushing it back to it's original position and then after a friendly wave and a soft smile to the guy in the guards uniform heads out the front door of Aqua Springs resort and off towards home until she can decide what to do next

(( I had no internet for the last several days, and had nothing to do but write. I cast Summon Wall of Text! ))

Daniel wandered about his patrol, absently patting at Batakos in its sheath at his thigh. His latest social botch had been troubling him more so than any other had before. It hadn’t been an especially horrendous encounter, but it had gotten him thinking. Would he ever be able to talk another person without feeling like he was inconveniencing them? Would he be able to be around a group of people he knew as opposed to strangers? Or being drowned by the ever growing feeling that he didn’t belong? Too many questions. Turning a corner Daniel watched as a group of young people walked by, laughing and talking over one another. One of them mentioned that she always loved visiting family over the holidays, but she was ready to head home again, and that sent Daniel’s train of thought off down another track.

He had begun to come to grips with the fact that he wasn’t human, at least not really. And he was beginning to learn that he just wasn’t meant to interact with people on a personal level. But one of the nagging thoughts that had been wandering his mind since beginning the search for himself, was whether he had a home. Was there somewhere out there where he wasn’t a unique oddity? Somewhere he actually belonged. Daniel allowed the quaint daydream to continue a moment longer as he wandered into the men’s locker rooms. The rooms were empty, but Daniel wandered through them checking about anyways. Satisfied that everything was fine, he was about to head back out when a tingle at the back of his head brought him up short.

Looking to one side, Daniel saw a doorway that lead to the nearby sauna. Daniel took a step towards the door when he suddenly felt a familiar sensation, the feeling he had felt in dame’s apartment, and when he had popped open locks on the stores, and most recently in the front lounge. But this time there was a difference. Almost like a vibration, a deep inaudible thrum. Daniel found that he had apparently drawn Batakos from its holster at some point. It was still in its short rod form, but it too felt as if it were vibrating. At which point, Daniel had thought. Mahvatshi had called Batakos a ‘conduit’. A conduit for what?

Daniel stepped closer and the feeling around the door became stronger. As he reached out to touch the frame around the door, Daniel swore that he could almost see something, running along the frame. Daniel pushed the door open, and saw the entry to the sauna beyond, but felt something else as well. Reaching out a hand, Daniel held it through the doorway. The feeling coming from the doorway shifted somehow, the vibration quickened. Trying what he had learned with Batakos, Daniel nudged at the area ahead of him with a thought, trying the mental flick that he had become familiar with. As he did, it seemed as if the world slid off to one side.

Daniel struggled to hold steady, but none of his limbs seemed to be responding properly. The best he could do was to keep on his feet as he stumbled forward through the doorway. As the rest of him passed through the doorframe, the scene before Daniel’s eyes stretched and blurred to the point of being nothing but an unrecognizable rainbow of chaos. Daniel forced his eyes to remain open, to take it all in. He was determined to remember this, whatever it was. From the sauna, the door swung open and a man clad only with a towel about his waist strode into the now empty locker room.

Daniel opened his eyes and smiled as he looked around. The room was just as he left it. Just then he heard the door open behind him, from the sauna area, and he stepped aside as a man clad only with a towel about his waist strode into the empty locker room. Daniel gave the man a nod as he left the room to continue his patrol. He had a lot more to think about than when he had gone in.

-Miru wanted to get out but Dec was busy with his band, something to do with an upcoming gig, Bonnie had some things to take care of at B.A.R.C. and dame was just being plain lazy. She didn't want to get out...and well, she was busy taking down Christmas decorations... sweatdrop Finally, after Miru nagged dame for the ten billionth time, she sent her on her way with some money to Aqua Springs, telling her she'd be there later when she finished. biggrin Miru hugged dame and went on her way-

-she went through the doors, waving at the person behind the desk shyly and then curled up in a chair close to the fire, taking out her manga and reading. Tommy asked if she wanted anything but she just smiled shyly and shook her head. He told her to just ask if she changed her mind. Miru had nodded and started to read-

*with a couple of hours left before Karrie was going to take him home, Mitri decided to go to Aqua Springs. He'd invited Thistle to go with him, but as soon as the door was opened and she felt how cold it was, she changed her mind. Velcore had accompanied him, though.

Walking into Aqua Springs, he nodded to the girl behind the desk, who he didn't recognize, and walked over to the lodge area. Tommy looked up when they walked in*

Hey Velcore. Hello, Mitri. Would either of you like anything to drink?

Sure, some warm cider would be nice. *rube his hands together, wishing he'd worn a pair of gloves*

Cider sounds good. Are there any muffins left?

I'm sure there are, Velcore. *chuckles and starts heating the cider for them*
