Name: Cearney "Heartleaf" Boneblossom
----------------
Personality: With a rather macabre mother, and a flirtatious father, it's no wonder that Cearney has turned out a bit peculiar. Cearney falls somewhere in between them both. He understands and respects his father's idea that he is beautiful; and Cearney understands that his family is gorgeous.
But traditional beauty doesn't interest him. In fact, he almost finds himself boring with such perfect hair, and the softest of paws, and colors to rival any sunrise. How . . . disgustingly normal. What Cearney is fascinated with are those that are abnormal, and downright monstrous or ugly.
While his mother has a fascination with dark and twisted thing, Cearney follows that path to an extent. He is not interested in staring at dead bodies -- how gauche -- or digging up graves; but he can't help but find soquili that are alive and so twisted utterly appealing and forever fascinating. He doesn't find the traditional beauties of the world particularly appealing.
He wants to coo over the soquili who are splattered with blood -- how fascinating a thing! Do their wounds truly never heal? He also would love to better get to know that gorgeous stallion with the bone legs -- a pity he wasn't born so twisted. And what of that mare with her innards exposed, and her face made up of a skull? Truly she might entertain him for a spell!
Cearney truly loves the unique, the different, and the damned. He finds them far more fascinating then someone as mundanely plain and perfect like him. Why shouldn't he find tentacles, spikes, blood, and gore beautiful? Beauty can be found everywhere, particularly in those that are different.
When he's not fawning over the ugliest soquili he can find, Cearney is a affectionate stallion. He certainly loves any attention he can wrangle out of his siblings, father, aunt, or uncle -- and should he ever trot after his mother, he'd try to get affection out of her, too. He is a bit a day-dreamer; he keeps his head more in the clouds than on the ground, and is constantly trying to imagine what his next gruesome beauty he might meet.
He's very calm, very patient, and very sincere -- but also a bit shallow. He is quick to write off or avoid others who look overly dull and boring, based on their appearance alone. The more beautiful the less interested he is; he'd much rather sniff out the company of a wallflower, or some monster attempting to drive him away.
While he's faithful enough to his family, he also is the sort to let himself drift. As he grows he'll likely come and go -- he's his own stallion. Not entirely all there, but absolutely harmless. He has a large heart... he's just a bit superficial on who he'll want to give it to as he ages.
Plot Ideas:
Brotherly Bonding: I'm not sure whether his brothers will be staying or going, but I'd love to iron out their relationship together. Family is important -- and Cearney definitely wants to have some bonds. Depending on how his relationship with his brother turn out, it may effect his future development.
Hunting Party: Cearney wants to learn to be death from above just like his father . . . but his wings don't work exactly like Dad's, and Mom isn't around to teach him how to use them. I suspect a young Cearney would try awfully hard to impress his father with his flight skills -- but it'll likely wind up with some catastrophe.
Boring: As he ages, he'll definitely find himself growing to be beautiful, like all his siblings. And be rather disappointed. Similarly, I'd love it if he met some others out there -- particularly a traditional beauty (either a young stallion or mare) who tries to befriend him. Cearney would more than likely write them off, and even confess his disinterest. Depending on his age he might even call them out on their lack of originality, and confess he finds the terribly plain. It could make for future enemies, frenemies, or a possible love-hate thing. It depends if said colt/filly wishes to re-appear in his life as he ages.
Be Still My Beating Heart: Yes, eventually I'd like for him to find a little bit of young love. This cold totally be unrequitted, depending on the player. This mare or stallion (because no, he isn't picky on gender, tbh) should either be considered ugly, twisted, dark, gorey, whatever. Someone that isn't used to being fawned over. Cearney's interest would turn into a bit of a crush and/or obsession. He would attempt to woo the other -- though I think I'd prefer if he got turned away or turned down. A little heartache is good for the soul.
Father's Advice: I could see him going to his father for advice on how to properly pursue his love interests. After his catastrophe with the above, he'd want to know how his father does it. Where did he go wrong? Or . . . Or perhaps it's him that's the problem? Is he too ugly for these gorgeous creatures that hide in the shadows, or turn snarling fangs to him? Oh, what angst.
Drifter: Like his father, he'd be a bit of a drifter. It's possible rejection or heartache would cause him to drift. He might try to seek down his old flame -- just to see if he can woo them -- and perhaps find himself face-to-face with the foal/filly who he once rebuked. Maybe they'd fin friendship? Maybe he'd find them as ugly and boring as he had as a colt? Either way, this would be time he'd be open to more development and as possible plot points for others.
A Mother's Love?: I would like him, at some point, to run across his mother. I think he'd love the fact that she appreciates the twisted and wicked . . . though whether she gets as obsessed as Cearney remains to be seen; and he certainly would find she likes the macabre on a broader spectrum than her son. He's a bit of a space cadet, and a rover, so I suspect he'd drift on eventually. But some family bonding on that side could be great.
Anything else?: Rainbows ftw. Seriously. I also tend to let characters speak to me, so it's possible some of his plots up there would change as I better got to use the character should I win. Either way, am happy to have the opportunity to try out! Thanks and good luck. : D

Name: Beathan "Yggdrasil" Boneblossom
----------------
Personality: Beathan is quite odd like his mother only opposite. Instead of being obsessed with death he is obsessed with life. Watching a mare give birth or a flower grow from a tiny seed would interest him more than old grave sites. The former would get him into more trouble of course, who wants a strange stallion hanging around in the bushes during this beautiful moment? They say that death is an adventure but Beathan believes that the greatest adventure is in life.
Plot Ideas:
Dealing With Death: Beathan is in love with life so death is a hard concept for him to grasp. He would probably end up befriending some woodland creatures that would eventually come to their demise. It would force him to rethink his values and beliefs as he had never dealt with actual death before. It had always just been on the outskirts of his thoughts because of his mother's fascination with it.
Fear of Death; Because of this new experience Beathan develops a great fear of death or anything deathy. Such as grave sites, bones, etc etc. Eventually it would get to the point where he would rarely go outside. If his friend could die so easily who was to say he couldn't set a hoof outside and have the same happen.
Facing Death (Catching on a theme here? I sure am.): Eventually things could go two ways, a family member draws him out of his funk or a stranger who takes pity upon his poor state of affairs helps him out and reignites his love for life again. Reassuring him that death is just a normal process and he can't go on living his life in fear of it all the time anymore. That its no way to live.
Anything else?: I'm a dork so don't mind my dumb plots. Everything is always up in the air for me anyhow and it could go way different of course.

Name: Faolán “Snapdragon” Boneblossom
----------------
Personality: Faolán gained the nickname snapdragon for his personality and interests. He is flirtatious, silly and outgoing. Yet he has fits of rage where if he could breathe fire things would die. Faolán knows he is gorgeous and has no problem using his looks to get others to do as he wants. One of the things that sends him into those rages is when someone that was previously under his paw realizes what Faolán is doing and breaks free or even just tries to. Faolán is not a mean stallion per say, just a manipulative one that wants to be in control of an uncontrollable world.
For all of that he is named for the flower side of the snapdragon. He is also named for the seedpod side of the snapdragon. A seedpod of a snapdragon is reminiscent of a skull which is an apt depiction of Faolán’s interests. He is fond of death and the macabre much like his mother, and while he would be hesitant to kill anything himself, he has no problems with death. Though he would have difficulty with one of his group of individuals dying more so because it is a loss of control than because he is sad. Faolán is not the most stable of Soquili in that regard.
Plot Ideas: As a foal:
Hello there, little bird: Faolán’s first encounter with death. He finds an injured bird that with the help of some familiars he tries to save the bird. It looks as though the bird will survive until it takes a turn for the worse and dies. Others try to comfort Faolán, who is not really upset, and Faolán doesn’t understand why others seem to think he should be. Death is a part of the normal cycle of life. And if ghosts exist, and they must because Midir sees them, then the loss of a body is only part of the cycle not an end.
Once upon a midnight dreary: It is storming out complete with lightning and thunder when Faolán finds a lost filly. He offers her shelter from the storm in a cave that he knows about. There they get to talking and he begins to feel odd things like affection and care. Not love or lust or anything like that, just that this is the first time, outside his family that Faolán encounters someone that he wants to be friends with. In a fit of excitement he shows her his collection of bones. He loves these bones but the filly is frightened and disgusted and reacts dramatically, crush one of the bones with her hoof. Faolán is angered and lets loose vitriol words and aggression driving her back out into the rain. It is a long time before he shows another his bone collection. Foalán learns to mask his hobbies with the flower aspect of his nickname and control his friends, manipulating them instead of being honest with them.
As an adult:
Live life as yourself: With the help of his mother, Faolán slowly begins to realize that it is all right to like the things that he likes. That others share his affections and interests. It gives him hope that one day he will be able to share with others outside of his family. Yet it is hard to break old habits and he still will manipulate and control first before even seeing if the other would be fine with who he really is.
Lust and Love: Faolán didn’t realize he was hiding so much of himself away until he found someone that he could share everything with. This other stallion created new and interesting feelings when the other stallion showed Faolán his own bone collection. Faolán was giddy and threw caution to the wind. They quickly became inseparable. Faolán was in love. Or at least he thought. After all, wasn’t this the things that was talked of so much. The rightness and feelings of companionship. Only when Faolán approached the stallion about it, the other stallion rebuked him. The stallion was straight as an arrow and as inflexible as stone. The friendship quickly became strained and fell apart. Faolán found himself withdrawing more, hiding away under flirting and manipulations.
A taxing death: One of those that he had claimed as his dies ad Faolán is devastated. He is confused by the intensity of his emotions and to try to figure it out, he goes on a walkabout. For months he isolated himself wandering around and watching others. Slowly he begins to unravel the mess of his emotions. Through the observations of other interactions and his own reflections Faolán begins to realize how messed up his life is. How lonely and lost he was before the death ever happened. When he returns it is with a plan to think before reacting, to contemplate his actions, and to listen to others more. Noble goals that are very difficult to accomplish, but Faolán is determined.
True Love: Faolán finds another kindred spirit, most likely through an introduction by a family member, but Faolán is hesitant. He denies his feelings for a long time, but the kindred spirit doesn’t go away. Slowly the kindred spirit, male or female, draws Faolán out of his shell enough that the kindred spirit is able to see that Faolán cares but is scared. So the other approaches Faolán. It is not the whirlwind romance of youth but a slow building of a truly strong and sustainable fire.
Anything else?: Totally want him to be involved in the rest of the family member’s lives.

Name: Faolan "Hollyhock" Boneblossom
----------------
Personality:
Faolan is one of those strange people who truly cannot be classified as either good or evil. He sits on the fence, directly centered in that mysterious gray area. While he would never actively participate in harming another, he is not inclined to help someone in trouble either. Faolan can find equal beauty in a glorious sunset or a grisly slaughter, show appreciation for both the boundless mysteries of the ocean and the final breath of a drowning victim and always with an eerily disturbing enthusiasm that many find hard to stomach. He enjoys collecting 'beauty', which can really mean anything from a shiny piece of rock, to a bloodsmeared weapon, to another soquili. When it comes to the latter its not so much that he will capture and hold a soqili against their will so much as he will simply decide they are his friend whether they are willing or no, and proceed to follow them around and treat them as though they are the best of friends regardless of their desires, deaf to any protests. Faolan is quite confident of his good looks and charm, any soquili who he would deign to bestow his friendship on will come around eventually, he is sure, he just needs to practice patience and persistence to wear them down to his thinking.
Plot Ideas:
-Faolan has no real concept of ownership unless someone is actually holding something, its fair game. If he sees something he wants, he will take it. If someone is holding it, he will follow them around until they put it down, then he will take it.
-Faolan playing keep away with something he's claimed from another soquili that can't fly. He hops from tree to tree leading them on a wild chase.
-Faolan comes across an injured soquili and refuses to help them, but follows them around as they search for help making a nuisance of himself and driving to poor injured person mad with his weirdness.
-Faolan following various soquili around being a pest because he's decided they are best friends and won't accept their polite requests to BACK OFF. He pops up at the most embarrassing and infuriating times.
-Faolan decides to be friends with a skinwalker or another violent meat eater, he drives it absolutely insane with a desire to destroy him, but it can't get up trees fast enough to catch him (Faolan has wisely decided to perch in the branches over its' head for his own safety and simply leaps from tree to tree to follow the 'walker).
Anything else?: Lovely babies <3
