Deidrith walked into the tea shop as he usual did this time during the day. Some people greeted him with a grunt, others with a nod, and then those who didn't at all. He sat on the stool next to the counter and listened as it groaned in protect to his weight. He waited for someone to come up and smiled as he turned and stood at his massive 6'7 height. The man backed off a bit but he stood his ground, even if it was shaky. "I challenge you to a drinking contest." Deidrith looked around and shrugged. It was this mans funeral. Everyone in Suna knew that Deidrith was undefeated since the moment he came here. He walked to the biggest table they had and sat down in a chair made especially for him. The chair was made out of hard wood oak and reinforced with steel plates and and extra leg in the center.

The bartender loved Deidrith, he brought in many customers whenever he came in. People always liked watching the challengers lose and eventually the place got riled up and more and more people would order drinks. So the bartender slid down the beers in front of them and the contest began. Drink after drink they had. Deidrith felt no different from when it began, but the man in front of him was starting to sway. He smiled, knowing he had already won.

This was the only place in town he could ever truly show his face without people glaring at him. Just because people liked a good fight or a competition. Deidrith was always willing to oblige. His red skin and massive muscle tone and size always threw people off. Even the bartender, a friend of Deidrith's was scared of him.

Hitomi had been wandering through the streets for some time, trying to find somewhere to relax for a while, thinking that she probably needed some dutch courage before going to talk to a person as important as the Kazekage. She hid behind her long red scarf while her eyes scanned the buildings and the many signs that lined them. Soon enough she found exactly the building that she was looking for, the tea shop. She had never really been there herself but she did know that they sold alcohol there. She avoided such places because they tended to be gathering spots for drunkards and perverts and while she was capable of protecting herself she hated hurting people and she hated confrontation in general even more. She walked into the shop, cracking the door open and peeking her head around the corner. The place reeked of alcohol alright. She walked inside and before even five minutes had passed one of the drunken perverts had already taken a shine to her, no doubt lured in by her large chest that she tried so hard to hide from view for just such this reason. Despite her words of protest and trying to move away the man didn't seem deterred, she fall backwards into the wall and the man began touching her in a way that was inappropriate. She was only moments away from using physical violence. "Get off me!"

Deidrith drank again and again. His opponent following suit in a rapid pace. His face was turning more and more red, eventually his eyelids started to droop. Within only 10 drinks the man fell back to the floor, out cold. The crowd cheered for Deidrith and he received a few pats on the shoulder. As usual, all the drinks were free for the winner. He stood up and smiled to himself. He towered over everyone and saw a girl walk in. An immediately his eyes went to another man approaching her. He shrugged it off at first. Probably just some guy who thought he could get a quick kiss.

He pushed in his chair and the crowd cleared to give him a path. No one wanted to be stuck under such a massive man. He walked through the cleared line when he looked over to see the man pushing her against the wall and groping her. He let out a guttural growl, barring his sharp teeth and clenching his fists. He walked over behind the man who seemed to sense a substantial presence looming over him. He turned around quickly as Deidrith grabbed him by his head and picked him up. The man screamed in terror as Deidrith crushed his skull with his bare hands. He brought the screaming man up to his face. "Ever touch another girl like that again and next time I will kill you." He threw the man aside and looked at the girl. He knelt down next to the girl, and was now eye level. He flashed her a smile and point at the guy behind him with his thumb. "He's gone now miss. No need to worry."

Hitomi rarely got angry, but this man was really starting to push it. She had even pulled her hand back, ready to strike him before she head the loud thumps of footsteps. But they weren't average foot steps, whoever these belonged to must have been huge. The man who had just assaulted her screamed like a little girl as he was picked up and tossed aside like a rag doll and the young Hyuga girl was left staring up at her mysterious protector. He was probably the biggest man she had ever seen. She was terrified of him, despite the fact that she didn't seem to have any real reason to. He had just protected her after all but she was still literally shaking. "I....I...I..." She stammered out, trying her hardest to introduce herself politely, just as her parents had taught her to. She decided that the only way she could do so would be to take her eyes off of him. So she moved into a deep bow of thanks."Thank you for helping me. My name is Hitomi Hyuga, it's a pleasure to meet you." She then moved back up into a straight standing position, her beautiful, almost featureless eyes making eye contact with his own.

Deidrith could see she was scared and stood up so he could take a couple of steps back. He sighed mentally to himself and waved it off. "No biggie." The crowd came over and laughed at the man who had been thrown aside like a child. Deidrith only rolled his golden olive eyes. He went back over to his chair and sat down, finishing off the last of the drinks of the other man with relative ease. He was finally starting to get a bit buzzed,the smile that spread across his face was that of content. No matter how many people saw him, it was always the same with each of them. But it was good to help either way.

He looked at his black, claw like fingernails and ran them through his white hair. He leaned back in his chair, putting his massive boots upon the table. He put his hands behind his head and let out a long sigh.

The young Hyuga girl found herself at a loss for words. Not much got past her perceptive eyes and he seemed almost...Upset? Insulted? She couldn't put a word on what it was, but it wasn't anything positive she knew that much. She felt genuinely bad for having shown physical signs of fear for the man who had just gone out of his way to help her. "Come on...You can do this. Just go over there and apologize." She thought to herself, swallowing hard nervously she walked over to the table, running over exactly what she would say in her head. Deciding that it would just be best to be direct about it. It wasn't like her for the most part, but she had a feeling that a man such as this was used to people being direct and probably preferred it that way. She came up behind him, tapping him on the shoulder while mentally psyching herself up for the task. She waited for him to turn before giving an ever so soft smile, ready for it this time, her voice would show no signs of fear. "I'm sorry if I offended you. I'm really not afraid of you or anything. I was just...Caught off guard is all. I don't usually get assaulted like that and when you helped me I didn't know what to say. But thank you. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" She looked down at the table, noticing the various glasses and drinks laid out on the table. "I was about to go on my way to see the Kazekage about getting a headband. I actually came in here to get a drink before hand. Maybe I could get us one each...?"

Deidrith opened his eye to look at her. he took his feet off the table and sat up straight. He was perplexed that this small girl came up top him and apologized for her behavior. He was thrown off by it. No one had ever apologized to him before. He went to go say something then stopped. He looked into her eyes and smiled at her offer. "No better way to my heart then offering my a drink. But allow me to take care of it. I get all drinks for the night free." He snapped his waved his hand at the bartender and called for two more. He was quick to bring them.

Deidrith pulled her up a chair and then sat back down. To him, she probably felt insignificant. But it was nice talking to a girl after so long. He also assumed she was of the same age. "So you said your going to get a headband correct?"

Hitomi's smile quickly grew as he acted warmly, she had heard of him before although she didn't really know his name. She was starting to wonder why people were so afraid of him. From what she had seen he only attacked people who deserved it. He had left her completely alone despite her actions. She nodded slightly at his offer. Considering it was free she had no real moral objections to taking his offer. It wasn't as if he was paying after she had just apologized, so she supposed that accepting really couldn't hurt. Nodding softly, she spoke."If you're certain that's alright, then I'll accept."

It soon became obvious that he wasn't just pleasant, he was polite as well as he pulled up a chair for her before she had a chance to get one herself, the hallmark of a gentleman. She sat and rested her hands in her lap as the drinks were brought over to them. "Yes. I stopped by here because I thought I could use a little dutch courage before I went there. I've never met the Kazekage before. Or anyone of a rank higher than a Jounin, really..." Hitomi too was fairly well known in these parts. There weren't many Hyuga clan members in Suna, and then there was the whole incident where her parents had died when she was only little. Hitomi was orphaned at a young age as a result, but she didn't speak of it much. "What about you?"

Deidrith smiled to her and downed the drink in one go. He set down the giant tankard brought to him and wiped his mouth. He looked down on her and thought about it. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you. But here I am also considered a genin. So I would need a headband myself. Even though others of my clan would highly disagree with this fact." He ordered four more drinks for himself and eagerly awaited for them.

"If you want. I can escort you to the Kazekage's office. I have been needing to get one for some time now and just have been to lazy to do so. And seeing as these men around here are stubborn, it would be a good deterrent to those who would try to take advantage of such a pretty girl as yourself." He facepalmed himself as he realized he hadn't given her his name. "Where are my manners. My name is Deidrith Korkarn Oni. Of the Oni clan. From those eyes and your last name I can see that your a Hyuga. So I can guess you can perfectly well take care of yourself. But it never hurt to have any company in my experiences."

She listened to him talk. Her suspicions of him being a ninja of some form were confirmed. It made sense that he would be considering his skill in fighting. She was however caught off guard with his mention of her being pretty. Very few people gave her much attention apart from the fact that she had a nice rack. It felt nice for someone to look her in the eye and say that for once. Her cheeks going from their usual pale color, becoming a nice crimson with a healthy blush. She looked away for a moment to let it calm itself down, she really had to get used to this sort of thing. It didn't seem like something that would be happening any time soon however. It was just a part of who she was and probably always would be.

She turned back to him after a few moments. His offer of escorting her there was certainly one that she did not want to turn down. It wasn't often that someone actually wanted to spend time with her. Let alone be nice about it. She drank her drink quickly, not used to alcohol she began really tipsy really quickly. It would be obvious from the look in her eyes. She blinked a few times, her vision blurring. "I err....I mean...I'd like that." She shrugged slightly."I can. But it's always nice to have someone stand up for you. Especially someone as big and as strong as you are. Just let me K-...Kno-...Know when you're ready to go, alright?"

Deidrith got up from the table and stretched his muscles and put his hands into his pocket. He called to the bartender. "Her drinks were on me tonight." The man nodded to him and continued on with his business of tending to the other customers who came strictly for the tea. Deidrith looked down at her and laughed at her. He took her drink away and shook his head at her. "I think you have had enough to drink. Now you definitely need someone to escort you." He helped her out of her chair and pushed it in for her. Again, people cleared a path for the giant. He went over to the door and held it open for her.

Hitomi frowned slightly when her drink was taken from her. It was true however that she needed to be told when to say no. Her body just was not used to alcohol and so she got very drunk very quickly. She stood up and looked a little bit wobbly, taking his arm as he helped her up she managed to mutter. "I'm not as think as you drunk I am..." But she followed him out, knowing that she would sober up fast enough once the fresh air hit her.

Diedrith laughed so hard he had to grip the side of the door. He left a slight imprint of his hand and wiped a tear from his eye. It took him several moments to regain his composure. "Oh my god....That's not funny if I have ever heard it." He guided her along gently with his other hand and gently pushed her out the door. "If you say so Lady Hyuga. But for now I think I will play it safe." He chuckled at her and continued on.
