I personally hated the Percy Jackson series. Found it too predictable and boring >.< so I don't know if you'll like these books, but here they are anyway~
Maximum Ride by James Patterson - One of the best book series I've ever read. Main character is a girl, but it occasionally changes points of view depending on what's going on.
The Other Ones by Jean Thesman - It was pretty short but a great book. Again the main character is a girl, but oh well ^^
AirBorne by ? - Ok, I hated this series. But I have a friend who loves Percy Jackson and this series. So maybe you will too.
That's all for now ^^

I totally fell in LOVE with the PJatO series You should read Rick Riordan's other books
Kane Chronicles Book One: The Red Pyramid This one's about Egyptian Mythology.
Heroes of Olympus Book One: The Lost Hero Sequel to the Percy Jackson Series. Honestly, the first one was better for me. But hey, it's still a good read (:

If you really need books to read I would suggest the novels by Jane Austin. I know that most think that her books are just for women but they can be enjoyed my men also.
I am currently reading a spoof off of Pride And Prejudice by Pamela Aidan by the title of: An Assembly Such as This.

Not quite sure if this will be your fancy. But m,ost books by R.L. Stine or Stephen King are lovely. I also reccommend reading manga when bored, and a novel "Almost Perfect." It was my favorite.
