『 ♔ 』 "You may only call me Ōjo. "
Ōjo tilted her head to the side slightly as a commotion began behind her, taking in the doorway with on the peripheral of her left eye. The gold-coloured orb stared staring ahead, her body still and eyes unblinking, as Houou kept the thugs from entering the room. They seemed content to leave Ōjo alone in the room with the lab-coat-wearing man and their apparent leader. Ōjo allowed a half-dozen seconds to ensure Houou was taking care of things outside the room before she held up her hand for Taka to hand over the glass needle, it's metal plunger dull with the grease of fingerprints and use.
Taka's hand was steady as he handed it over, Ōjo's fingers culring around the warmed device with the intent of a claw around its meal. With eyes unmoving from the old woman, Ōjo approached...
『 ♔ 』 As Houou turned to re-enter the room, he would find Ōjo standing in his way, her robes neatly closed and Taka following silently behind her, his head slightly bowed. Stepping over the bodies and through the blood and gore, Ōjo approached Houou head on, her eyes intent on him even as her head tilted to the side slightly at one point in that curious way she examined what was physically below her with the peripheral's of her eyes. Upon reaching a single stride from touching Houou, Ōjo stopped and took all of Houou in.
"Will you accept Ryo for your reward or would you prefer opium as the method?" She suddenly offered. The finality in her tone indicated her business was done. Whatever 'property' she had come to collect appeared to have been retrieved though neither herself or the possible-doctor were carrying anything.

『 ♔ 』 "You may only call me Ōjo. "
Ōjo didn't hesitate to pull out a small pouch from the inside of her robe, her right hand covered in streaks of her own blood - drying, beginning to become sticky and coagulate into bulbs. The hand reached into the unassuming pouch and removed a few coins - what abysmal light there is would show the coins to barely be enough for a few meals. Ōjo handed the pouch over to Houou while she pocketed the measly amount for herself. Once the heavy weight of the bag was in Houou's hands, gold finally blinked, hidding a shadow of thought.
"Not a warrior." She corrected. "A servant. You wish to become like myself, take Taka to the Land of Water. He knows the location. Ensure his path is uninterrupted. Once there, you may ask them to begin the process." Ōjo's voice was not as sharp as before, but it was certainly dry. What that indicated, however, was for Ōjo to know and others to asses. "If you survive, my owners may purchase you. Or," Ōjo turned to leave, her steps as quiet as ever on the dry cement and blood puddles. "Continue proving yourself useful and we may cross paths in an agreeable alignment."

▬▬▬▬▬┤|Houou Uzumaki|├▬~D-Rank~~Rogue~~Eiseijutsu~~Bloodline~Chak:: 350 Stam:: 190 Ryo: 3,330 AC:850Houou would take notice of Ōjo's change in vocal pattern as she handed him payment, but he would not dwell on it for long. For now he could only think of the gracious opportunity she had bestowed upon him. Houou was one step closer to amassing the power he had spent months dreaming about, a dream that was slowly becoming a reality. Ōjo had not known that Houou was recently suffering from an inferiority complex, due to the fact he was the weakest member of his small rogue group. Ōjo had given Houou hope. She was the light in his otherwise dark life. He would no longer be the burden of his team. Houou felt as though a fire was raging in the pit of his stomach. This feeling slowly began to consume his body, his mind racing, contemplating the infinite possibilities before him. As he watched Ōjo turn and walk away, tears welled up in his eyes. He was eternally grateful for what Ōjo had done. Tears flowing down his tense face, Houou gave a deep bow of respect to the woman he now considered a friend and mentor. " I will it disappoint you Ōjo, thank you!" Houou said quietly to himself as not to alert Ōjo to the fact that he was crying. He was sure she would see it as a sign of weakness. Houou turned to Taka gesturing with his head, to follow. He had not said a word, as he wiped away his tears and held his head high, subconsciously mimicking Ōjo. It was time for him to enter the next chapter of his journey.

Artemis Souma
▴ Shishin▴ Nin Specialist ▴ 465/485 ▴ 75/75 ▴ D-Rank ▴
Artemis relaxed beside the edge of the boardwalk. The view was pretty, even with the harsh sunshine reflecting and blinding herself. She found herself passively channeling chakra from one hand to the other. [1] She was leaning on her hands so she could hang her feet over the boardwalk. Her fingers tingled as the chakra transferred back and forth. It was almost second nature. [2] She hummed to herself as her chakra points buzzed with activity. It was nice to feel in control of herself without the company of adrenaline. She could still feel the heavy, red gaze of those glass wolves. [3] The lack of panic brought a sense of peace that only meditation could bring her while letting her chakra settle in her palms. Well, that or yoga was nice, but chakra during yoga could be dangerous. She activated her chakras again and focused them so that her hands glowed. [4] Her chakra fluttered from her hands, climbing up her arms. Casual chakra flow that took half a thought. One day, it would happen exactly like breathing, be a complete aspect of her own being. [5] [Basic Training: Meditate]
Artemis leaned forward. She laced her fingers together in front of her, looking down at the ocean. Her hands formed the tiger seal as she watched the waves. [1] She could almost make out a tuna beneath the surface. It made her a little jealous, she wanted to be so free in the water. She wanted to be able to swim and breathe and exist without worry. She formed the ox sign. [2] Her fingers were moving more naturally against each other. Over time, this would come as second nature as well. Though at the moment, it just took a thought. [3] She followed it with a rat seal. Her fingers curled against each other, callouses pronounced. She'd been working really hard these past few weeks. [4] That was their goal. As a team, they wanted to work hard and earn their place in the world without being tied down to a village's agenda. She made the tiger seal, lost in her own thoughts. [5] [ Basic Training: Meditate ]
Artemis rolled over and brought her legs up to stand. She stretched upward, then brought her fingers together. Her chakra channeled to her hands. [1] Her chakra expanded. She focused on balancing it out among her body. She needed balance to make the technique work. [2] In a moment, her body was rushed forward in a classic shunshin move. She ran a hand through her hair afterwards, amused with herself. She'd get rusty without practice. [3] [ Basic Training: Performance ]
A figurative lightbulb formed overhead. She had five elements, and most clones were made of one element - if not martuon. Maybe she could form a clone with two elements! [1] She put her hands together, channeling her chakra again. She imagined an identical form to herself. Instead of ushering one chakra nature, she utilized two. [2] Katon and Doton natures dueled at first. With further effort, they floated together and became a clone. The clone was created with 10 chakra to its body. She spoke into her comm, "How's it going, Gentlemen?"

At the docks, it was as Luna feared. Apparently, boats were obviously not offering free trips and Miyuki didn't have a single ryo on her. In that case, working back on what Miyuki had suggested earlier, Luna asked, "Mkiyuki-um... unni?" questioning whether calling her "unni" was okay since Miyuki was against holding hands, "Don't worry! There are a lot of people that come and go here, so I'm sure there's someone from your village! Where... um... Where..." The girl realized only now that village had a chance of meaning ninja village. She didn't feel comfortable with any of them... and if it was Kiri... In a fainter voice, quieter even than her already quiet voice, Luna finished, "... are you from?".

As promised, Miyuki kept up with the smaller girl with no issues the entire way to the docks--the directions for which turned out to not be nearly as complicated as Miyuki had originally made them out to be. In fact, the journey wasn't even very long, from leaving the market to reaching the bustling docks. After all, merchants who came in by boat needed easy access to the market, right? But, as both of them had by this point planed for, the boats did in fact require ryo, of which the pink-haired girl couldn't find a single coin tucked away in any of her pockets, and she wasn't about to take money from a little girl. Assuming Luna had any money herself.
Regardless, it looked like Miyuki would need to find a different way home, be it on land or otherwise. Maybe one of the other small towns along the shore would provide free transport, or transport for a little bit of work. And that all depended on whether or not she had the attention span for work. Slightly frustrated with herself again, she placed her hands on her hips, a small pout touching her lips as she watched others board a ferry to Mizu no Kuni.
It quickly vanished, though, as Luna beside her spoke up. She reassured the older girl that someone from her village was bound to come through. Maybe she would even recognize them. Though unless it was another member of her class or one of the higher-ups she somewhat doubted she'd remember them. After all, her memory before six months ago was fuzzy. Miyuki grinned at Luna at her question, trying to encourage the younger girl to not be so hesitant. However, unbeknownst to Miyuki, the name of her village was the one Luna wanted to hear the least. "Kirigakure~" she replied with a lilt. "Though I guess it's almost more 'hidden in the leaf' than Konoha, huh?" Of course, it was entirely likely the girl had no idea what she was talking to. Locations of the hidden villages weren't exactly supposed to be known, but it was hard to hide a thousand foot tall tree, and the massive walls that surrounded the lake basin the village inhabited.

It might have been hard to notice beneath the mask of Luna's difficult to express face. However, just hearing "Kirigakure," opened the floodgats of just... very bad badness. Luna froze, but it wasn't like she was the type to move a lot in the first place. The biggest sign would probably the absence of any. Not a sound or movement for a while, too long of a while. Luna's hands, which had been clasped together in front of her as she walked, gripped tightly into each other until her knuckles turned white.
For a child, the fear was really too much to handle. Perhaps, unknown to her until a slight misgiving now, it had even been well on its way to anger. Luna just felt really uncomfortable thinking that Miyuki, who she was so quick to attach to, could be from Kirigakure. That Kirigakure. She liked Miyuki, but she didn't like Kirigakure. It wasn't just fear. It was genuine dislike. After all, she had no reason not to blame the Village Hidden in Mist, a village full of faceless strangers who she could all easily place as "bad" and "murderers." That is, until now. "Bad" and "murderers" was hard to place on the face of Miyuki, so Luna really only had two choices...
Actually, there was a third stop gap option. Unable to look at Miyuki, Luna stuttered out, "I-I'm sorry," and exaggerated gulp at the part where Luna should have called her "Miyuki-unni," "I c-can't... I don-don't... Like... I have to go." Without any explanation. Rather, unable to give any explanation, Luna quickly run off into whatever direction was away from Miyuki. Pink hair and skirt streaming behind her, it wasn't long before little Luna safely lost herself back into the crowd of strangers.
The third option, to run away, and Luna ran away without looking back. At the same time, though, this also meant that she had chosen to not burn any bridges. Then again, fire was the element of renewal. Sometimes a good fire and burn out was needed for something new to grow. Sometimes, the bridge needed to be replaced, destroyed and then replaced. Burning a bridge, though. Luna just didn't have the courage to do as such or the foresight to think of anything in this paragraph. She just wanted as far away as possible from Miyuki and Kirigakure right now. The situation being confusing only aggravated the problem. The real issue was that Luna didn't like what she was thinking. She was scared of what she thought when she thought about it all.

When Luna froze, Miyuki's smile faded slightly. Was something wrong about her answer? As much as she was a ditz normally, she was observant and often noticed the social cues provided by others. In this case, the stiff shoulders and Luna's avoiding gaze. When she finally did speak, she could barely get the words out, a thousand thoughts trying to make their way to the surface while she searched for the right thing to say. Finally she settled on 'I have to go'. And then she was gone before Miyuki really had a chance to register what was happening. Had she done something wrong?
What remain of her grin slid from her face as she was left alone in the crowd. Right. Backup plan. She needed to find another way home, even if that meant walking to another village. It would be best to head for the main gates. Since that was across town, maybe she'd find the familiar four tilda symbol that Kirigakure used on its headbands. Actually, that's basically what she was counting on at this point, as much as she hated the idea of owing someone for helping her.
Shouting from one of the rooftops not too far away drew her attention. A man standing in a heroic post stood atop, mentioning something abut salty sails and proclaiming himself a white knight. Having little to no interest in him since her mood had been ruined, Miyuki turned on her heels and headed back into the city.
