Kurama had walked over to Shiro, carrying the gravestone tablets he usually carried for Arturia, himself, and Gilgamesh, speaking of Arturia and Gilgamesh, both of them had wandered over finally, and after a bit of help from Gil, Arturia went back into her tablet to rest, then Gil did the same, leaving his Kyuubi to sidle up next to Shiro, while he and Roveth were technically supporting each other and heading towards the Emiya estate.

Rin and Emiya, once they saw the state Shiro and roveth were in, much less crystal's given she was alright aside from some blood on her clothes, was trying to ask the two what happened, but Roveth shook his head and said "let me get Shiro to a shower first, i need one too, but i also need some clothes."he said, slipping past the two while pointedly giving a glare at Hana as if saying 'do not even badger us.' before dragging shiro into the nearest bathroom guided by Emiya-san.

Rin of course looked to Crystal as she came into sight, looking a bit concerned and worried "... is everything alright now? what happened out there anyway to lead to that Roveth b*****d and Shiro-san that bloodied?"she decided to ask first, hoping to get -some- info about what happened, and what Hana and Crystal talked about by demon dragon spirit and vengeful god, so on.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 10, 2015 10:02 am
"Everything is alright, for now," Crystal answered seriously. "But it might not be if Shiro loses his temper again." She went over to Hana to give him back Futsu-no-Mitama no Tsurugi. It looked like Amidamaru was being very closed-lipped about what went on out there so Hana would probably want to have a real explanation as well.

"As far as what happened is concerned, Roveth was merely unlucky enough to have been in close proximity when Shiro snapped," Crystal continued. "This wouldn't be a problem for most people, but Shiro is a unique case. You might not see or even sense it, but Shiro is the vessel for an demonic dragon spirit. I don't know how or when it was sealed inside him, but from what I've witnessed in my years of knowing him it would seem that this spirit is most directly linked to Shiro's anger. When he loses it, like he did tonight, the seal weakens and the demonic dragon spirit is able to possess and take control of his body. In this case he underwent a full-body transformation, literally taking on the form of the demonic dragon. If I hadn't been here to stop him going on a rampage he would have killed more than just Roveth and that Shinji person. Unlike conventional ghosts and spirits, which ordinarily don't hold much sway over the material world, a demonic spirit is more along the lines of a poltergeist, a spirit entity that can interact with the material world in a real and direct way. I don't know exactly where Shiro's demonic dragon spirit originated from, but the spirit itself has a serious case of blood lust against humanity. Shiro has tremendous difficulty keeping it in check. At any rate, cases like this where the unseen world threatens to compromise the safety of the corporeal world are precisely why shamans are still being employed by the Japanese government. No matter how skeptical the world becomes regarding spirits, there is always going to be a need for mediators 'just in case'."

"I could be wrong, but I wonder if maybe the reason for that demonic dragon spirit's hatred against humanity might stem from some past betrayal," Hana commented. "I'm not an expert since I don't really bother keeping up with my shamanic studies, but I've learned enough to know that spirits don't generally go bad on their own. Negative human emotions are what draw out evil spirits."

"You know something, that's exactly the sort of thing I'd expect to hear from your father," Crystal responded with some amusement, causing Hana to grumble about how he wasn't anything like his father and that he still fully intends to kick Yoh's a** if he ever sees him again. "If Shiro can't contain the demonic dragon spirit, then the only alternative would be for him to become better acquainted with it. To learn of its true motives and intentions."

Rin had blinked when she heard all this, before moving to take a seat a moment to try and digest things, before speaking up "no wonder Shiro-san avoided Shinji as much as possible after the first time he met him... if he had an angry dragon thingy in him then i'd want to stay far away from people who'd piss me off too ,and Shinji's the epitome of someone that could piss people off by being in their presence... well, all except for Emiya-kun, but he's a softie in that regards." she shuddered lightly "i do feel a bit sorry for Roveth-san-- wait what? if Roveth and Shinji were killed during the rampage... then how is Roveth still here?" she asked, perplexed at the moment.

once Emiya had left to return to the others, Roveth and Shiro were working on getting cleaned off, though it seemed Shiro was staring at the sink while Roveth took his shower, apparently Emiya-san had left out some clothes looking similar to what Kiritsugu wore given they were about the best things that'd fit him, Shiro was just tryign to scrub his hands off.. quite viciously and hollowly, as if he could still see the blood on him, he even started viciously trying to clean his mouth in various ways, though the PTSD images in his head still showed him with a shark-like grin, blood staining the teeth and hands, and even a bit of Shinji's hair still in his mouth, making him frantic a bit even moreso.

"That would also be my doing," Crystal answered. "While it's not exactly a common skill in shamanism, there are techniques for reviving a dead body so that the soul can be restored to it. The reason for this is because the fastest and surest way for a shaman to boost their spiritual power is to die, temporarily, and have their soul train within the Great Spirit. Of course, the techniques tend to work best when the body is still in one piece so I had my work cut out for me. Roveth was in three pieces when I got to him, but he won't have any scars from being carved up like that. Shinji was way worse off. I couldn't even find all the pieces. It's a wonder there was enough of him left to revive at all. But, seeing as the guy was enough of a creep to set Shiro off like that, I decided to let him keep his scars as a reminder. However, from what Shiro mentioned after the fact, next time that b*****d won't be so lucky."

Hana was all too familiar with the revival techniques Crystal was explaining to Rin so he wasn't really listening, but he was vaguely interested in the strange sword his aunt was holding. Since Rin hadn't commented on it he was beginning wonder if it might be an Oversoul, but when he looked at it more closely he noticed that it cast a shadow meaning it had to be a real sword because an Oversoul casts no shadow.

"Ne, Crystal-oba-san, I don't remember you ever having a sword like that one before," Hana decided somebody should probably mention it. "Where did it come from?"

"Honestly, I'm still figuring that out," Crystal answered. "From what I can tell it materialized from the Oversoul I used to bring down the demonic dragon, probably because it combined my furyoku and prana, but I still don't see how it became corporeal enough to sustain itself even after I stopped injecting my power into it. By all accounts it shouldn't exist."

Rin of course had took in the information, though she seemed to be stuck on the revival part, when Emiya-san returned, and voiced his thoughts "if i didn't know any better.. i'd say that it looks like some of my traced weaponry, only with a more spiritual aspect added to it. the question i have, however, is how did you get a reasonable fascimile of an image of Excalibur in your head. no one but myself and Rin has seen that sword since the 5th Grail War." Rin of course snapped at Emiya with a bit of a bite "who cares about the sword dammit! crystal-san just mentioned a way to revive the dead!" she tried to calm down a bit before looking back to Crystal "how much of a time frame does one need to have before the window of opprotunity for revival is closed? given you mentioned if the body is too far gone, then there's no chance for revival right?" she'd ask, trying to grasp at straws, in hopes of maybe seeing her father again, alive, or maybe help Shirou out by getting -his- father revived if she could.

Roveth meanwhile had finished his shower, and was proceeding to help Shiro with his, well, namely help in a way that also prevented the hollowed/depressed man from trying to drown himself or something else stupid. granted, he himself had died plenty of times, but Shiro had never died once, especially since he had been worried about leaving his body for long lengths of time to visit inside the Great Spirit, without the Demon Dragon spirit getting loose. add the fact shiro seemed to be trying to rip his own skin off in cleaning his hands and face a bit... yeah, one could tell he was trying hard not to scream i nfrustration, depression, or all of the above and more.

Crystal could already tell where this discussion was going so she knew she had to derail it before Rin got her hopes up about raising the dead. "A person can only be revived if their death occurred recently. Once the body begins to decay it's generally too late. Having some means to preserve the body can extend the duration somewhat, but it becomes more difficult the longer the soul has left the body. It's easier to revive a fellow shaman because of the heightened spiritual sense giving us a natural detachment from our bodies that keeps them stable longer after death, but even then the window for revival is at most several hours."

"But, if there's someone whose died that you want to reconcile with, we can channel that person's spirit if we know where to find their ghost," Hana chimed in. "Although there isn't much we can do if that person's spirit has already moved on to the afterlife. It takes a specialist to summon back souls that have already left this world."

"And the only Itako we know is currently away on business outside the country," Crystal added. She didn't want for Hana to dwell too long on the fact that his mom was never around. It was hard enough for him without bringing that up. "As for this sword," Crystal turned her attention to Emiya, "I guess you could say I was instructed by the sword's owner who is presently one of Shiro's guardian ghosts. She's the one who described it to me and told me how to wield it."

Rin backed down hearing that, she had hoped, not just for herself, but for shirou, more than anything. "i see... well, it was just a thought of letting Emiya-kun see his dad again, even for a little while." Emiya of course just stared at Tohsaka a bit "Rin... i..." Rin shook her head and sighed "oh well... still... it was a hopeful thought at least."

Roveth, once he managed to get Shiro showered without trying to drown himself, and into bed so he could -rest, even if it'd probably be fitfully, managed to come into the room just as the talk about revival stuff finished up, blinking lightly "really? huh. well, anyway, Shiro's currently laying down for a bit, he at least told me his peak time for magical activities is around 3 AM so i told him to get some sleep. as for any questions about the Demon Dragon, i will say now that SHiro has been dealing with the overgrown lizard since the day he was born. he won't tell me much given he was an orphan from the village, but they treated him like damaged goods, or fine chinaware never to touch, because they felt if anyone interacted with him, he might break, and the demon dragon might come out." he sighed "he told me this because before he met Crystal and the others, i -was- the first one who didn't treat him like delicate china when he told me about it, and i actually stuck around, kinda why i see him in a way as a younger brother who needs to be watched. sure, i may act like a jerk, jackass, arch b*****d, whatever Ren and Horohoro, among others, call me, but i'm not the type to abandon people."

Rin just frowned, biting on her nail a bit, while Emiya had spoken up lightly "well, as for the spirit... i'll assume it must've been the one that Shiro-san never told us about, as i know about Kurama, and Gilgamesh, while a surprise, probably wasn't the one who helped guide crystal..." he sighed "... it seems she still regrets leaving me during the fifth war, after the Grail was taken care of. we both parted on good terms, but... she was sad, like she wanted to stay, and she's probably unsure about showing herself now.

"Wait, did he just say he can see spirits?" Amidamaru, who had been hovering over Hana like a protective mother hen since returning from the incident with Shiro, was excited by the prospect that he might not be totally invisible to this Emiya person.

"Well, regardless of her feelings on the matter, the main reason she isn't going to show herself right now is because she exhausted much of her power helping me to bring down the demonic dragon spirit," Crystal told Emiya. "But, if you feel that there's something you ought to say to her you might want to borrow her memorial tablet from Shiro so you can get it off your chest. She can still hear you even if you can't see her. If there's one thing I've learned from this whole shaman business it's that people who really want to see each other again will always eventually find the means to do so. It's just a matter of time."

"I'm actually a little surprised that Hao-oji-san let you face such a dangerous situation by yourself," Hana remarked. "I mean, with those annoying god powers he could have been here to bail you out."

Amidamaru had been wondering about that too. Even though they had managed to pull it off in the end, that was cutting it way too close for comfort.

"That's part of our arrangement," Crystal answered with a shrug. "He knows I'm not helpless so there isn't really any point to him rushing to my rescue whenever I'm in trouble. And given the way he tries to actively antagonize Shiro when he's in a good mood, he'd probably have made the whole thing worse. So, despite the way he acts most of the time, sometimes Hao really does know better than to meddle where he ought not to."

Emiya had glanced to Amidamaru's actual acting giddy, before chuckling "i think it's a by-product of having been in the grail war, what with Heroic SPirits becoming revived in a sense, but yes, i can see you." Rin of course blinked a bit, and sweatdropped lightly at the sword magus. Roveth meanwhile raised an eyebrow at both Emiya and Crystal, though moreso than crystal "Hao actually lets you do things on your own? news to me, despite being a troll, if he had people he was interested in, last time i remember he was -very- protective of them." of course he then nodded to the other fact "though he would antagonize the hell out of Shiro just to see the Demon Dragon spirit, too." he said with a sweatdrop after as Rin sighed a bit at their antics "either way, i need to know when Crystal's peak time is for magical activity, Emiya-kun's is at 11 at night, and we now know shiro's is at 3 AM, why so late i don't know... and of course, we need to know Roveth's too." she said off-handedly, while Roveth narrowed his eyes "mine's midnight on the dot, don't ask me why, i never figured that out."
PostPosted: Fri Jul 10, 2015 8:29 pm
"While true, I never would have caught his eye if I wasn't strong in my own right," Crystal reminded Roveth. "That isn't to say that he doesn't worry about me. He just has enough respect for my abilities not to intervene unless he truly has to."

Of course, she had no idea when her peak time for magical activity would be. "I have no idea when my peak time is," Crystal informed Rin. "Seeing as we just opened up my magic circuits, many after years of disuse, I don't really have any basis for determining what time my magic would be most active unless you've got some kind of methodology for finding out."

Now that the pressure from Shiro's demonic dragon spirit had been lifted for a little while, Hana actually had the presence of mind to feel embarrassed both about freaking out earlier and by Amidamaru's sudden giddiness. Hana sighed in annoyance and stretched tiredly.

"Well, this conversation is starting to go over my head so I think I might just want to go to bed before anything too crazy happens," Hana mumbled as he got up from the table.

"That's a good idea," Crystal nodded to her nephew. "It's probably past your bedtime anyway."

Rin nodded to Crystal's words while Emiya proceeded to lead Hana to getting a guest room as the magus pondered things "i do have a small spell, i just need a Dowsing stone, and a decent clock, hold on." she said, proceeding to get up to take up the nearby clock and getting ready to set things up. "it'll have to be you using it, since it'll need your Prana, just basically pour your prana through the dousing stone and the clock, and the clock will automatically turn and set itself to the peak time."

Roveth nodded as he heard the ritual, he had heard of it after finding out his own thing with doing magic at all times.
PostPosted: Sat Jul 11, 2015 12:07 am
"Now that I can do," Crystal replied. Unlike her laundry list of improvised and self-taught abilities, dowsing was one of the few skills she knew that was truly acknowledged by her family. She set down the strange sword so that she could focus her attention on the modified clock once the apparatus was put together. She was gradually becoming accustomed to the flow of prana within her, especially now that the amount of prana far exceeded her much depleted stores of furyoku. The external flow was proving to be a bit more problematic for her to get used to, but Crystal was determined not to let the zipping and zooming, swirling tracks of energy she was seeing overwhelm her although staring at it for too long was arguably enough to make one dizzy. She wondered if maybe that had been part of the reason she had originally closed herself off to the use of magic. Well, there was no going back now.

Crystal placed her hand on the dowsing stone and concentrated on channeling prana through it from her oddly serviceable magic circuits. She wondered somewhat if it was at all peculiar that she wasn't having any difficulty in using them even though no one had actually taught her any proper magic yet. The hands on the clock spun wildly at first, but after a brief moment the hands finally stopped themselves in a position that could be clearly read as 1:42.

"Well, I guess that's it then," Crystal spoke once it was finished.

Hana kept to himself as Emiya led him to a guest room. He still felt some uneasiness in the pit of his stomach from that whole thing with Shiro's demonic dragon spirit. Hana had never encountered such terrifying furyoku before. At least he had Amidamaru shadowing him and the Futsu-no-Mitama no Tsurugi back in his possession.

thankfully for Hana, his room would be nowhere near Shiro's, due to the fact Shiro had expressed privacy as well as isolation, so that his fitful sleep wouldn't scare anyone further. other than that the furniture would be quite comfortable. once he was put to rest, in the not-dead manner of speaking, Emiya would head back to the main room, where Rin was just about to speak up "your magic sure has a way with the universe, if it chose -that- particular time." she said, amused in an ironic way, even though she was one who hated movies and such, she knew the reference from Emiya about the 'Answer to life is the number 42' at least. in either case Rin began making out a list on a note pad "so order wise is Emiya-kun, Roveth-san, you, then myself, then finally shiro-san." she nodded lightly, while going over things "between all of us we don't exactly have relics of ancient heroes long past, so we'll have to just use the ritual without such catalysts and hope that the servants that are most alligned to you will be good ones. i have one in particular i'll hopefully summon though." she said, gripping a certain pendant that Emiya had realized was in hand, and made him groan lightly "if you summon -Him- again he's just going to be coming after me again you know that right Tohsaka?" Rin of course flinched, and peered over to Emiya with a nervous giggle "he's not -all- bad..." she wanted to say more, but she kept quiet while Emiya just deadpanned and thumb-pointed over to Roveth "Roveth-san could actually take lessons of being a sarcastic b*****d from him." Roveth of course pretended to look affronted "oi! i'll have you know i am an Arch-b*****d of high degree, if anything i'd be teaching whoever this guy is something new."

Shiro meanwhile was sleeping.. and, well, not well, if his tossing, turning, breathing heavily and sometimes gripping either his chest or throat was any indication... yeah, horrible dreams, again... though, thankfully it was silent from the group so nothing was bad.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 12, 2015 2:21 am
"All that aside, I still need to learn the ritual to be able to perform it myself once the time comes," Crystal decided to break the tension by reminding the others that she was still very much a novice at all of this. A natural and a fast learner perhaps, but still lacking in experience.

*~Fuyuki Train Station~*

"I see, so this forsaken place is Fuyuki City," Hao remarked with distaste as he could sense the twisted and malevolent energy that circulated throughout the city. It was as though the very land itself was cursed. Feeling that malignant atmosphere was reminding him of precisely why he hated humans so much.

"It's worse than we had anticipated," Matamune agreed. "But nonetheless, we should go find the others."

"For the sake of whomever is orchestrating all this, they had better be okay," Hao replied. "Although, even then, I still won't forgive them for what they've done."

They left the train station and began making their way to the Emiya estate, although unlike Hana who had relied on Crystal's shikigami to pinpoint her location, Hao simply consulted his old oracle pager to access the Great Spirit as a sort of GPS tracking system.

Rin nodded, as she pulled out a paper and pen to start writing down the incantation and ritual preparations "understandable, Crystal-san, i think only myself and shiro-san know the ritual, given Emiya-kun summoned his servant last time out of desperation of not being killed, and you and Roveth-san are new to the Grail Wars. hopefully this guide on it i'm writing down will help, there are some variations to the incantation, but that is usually to summon a specific class of servant, usually the only one i know of from experience however is Berserker." she shuddered, remembering the last war's Berserker, who would no doubt probably be returning again "ugh.. Herakles.." she muttered, she -really- did not want to go up against that behemoth without a Saber Class, or -her- Archer.

Roveth nodded, as he sat there calmly, though his own oracle pager beeped a bit, causing him to peer at it under the table, before looking to Crystal "looks like your husband's on his way here, my GPS is picking up on another Oracle Pager signal that's not yours or Shiro's." he said with amusement while frowning a bit "... should we tell him about Shiro snapping?" he asked, curious and a bit nervous, given he wasn't sure he needed to be killed (again) by Hao for not stopping Shiro.. or for Hao to haunt Shinji, as much of a Douche as he is...
