"What?" Taima looked up at Roch and lost control of the spoon again. Her feathers ruffled as she scowled first at the wet ground and then at her partner, who was proving to be more of a hindrance than a help. "It would help me a lot if you could stop distracting me," she said.

The next bottle Taima picked up was big and awkward to hold. She cursed as it almost slipped out of her hands when she started pouring the contents into the cauldron. When she finally regained control of the bottle, she found that the cauldron was half-full. Well, that was unexpected, but she certainly wasn't complaining.

Taima put the large bottle to the side and looked over the rest of supplied ingredients, pondering a moment before picking up a jar of dried bug guts and shaking some in. They absorbed the liquid that was in there and expanded, nearly filling the whole cauldron.

The cauldron was almost full, but the loss of liquid and the added bug guts made it lose some of the fizz it had earlier. Taima tossed more of the shiny powder in, fighting back a grin as the mixture bubbled. Despite earlier near-failures, this was almost fun!

A final dash of whatever was in the next bottle Taima randomly grabbed--oh, gross, it smelled horrible!-- and she was "Done," she said, wrinkling her nose at the scent and taking a step back as the cauldron overflowed a little.

Hel cackled. Oh Freya. What a light weight.

The ghoul kept her seat until the teacher appeared, and the ghoul perked up as it was announced they’d be making bug juice for some scarelings. Aww. It kind of warmed Hel’s heart a bit. Kind of.

As they were instructed to pair up, the ghoul nudged (meaning, she jabbed Freya’s side with steel toe), and called down to her. “Oi. Sister. You will be my partner for this, ya?” Something about not spending enough time with her sister and all that…this would stop her from complaining, right? Make her happy? Hopefully. “I do not know if you heard or not…” Hel nudged her side again with a toe. “But I think you should catch the bugs…birds of a feather flock together, ya? Like minds. I will prepare the base, since I can actually…ya know…cook.”

Amphi wiped her brow as the cauldron FINALLY settled for a good amount of liquid.

"Danny!" She squeaked, "I'm all done!"

"WHAT I DID NOT HIT HER I DID NAAAHT- oh hai Hel." Freya had bolted up when Moira smacked her, and then turned when Hel addressed her, looking as though she hadn't just been 'sleeping' on the job. But when she was told what her assignment was to be, Freya made a very unhappy face.

"WHY DO I GOTS TEH TOUCH THE BUGS! UUUUGHHHHHH. Yehr such a bully sometimes, little crumpet." Freya huffed and puffed, but she did not blow Hel's house down. Instead, she got up and grabbed a net, heading out to try to catch nasty little bugs.

Without actually touching them.

Needless to say, this method did not work very well.

TEAM ONE AND A HALF BLONDES: FREYA & HEL

FREYA DID NOT LIKE BUGS. She kept trying to keep them out of her hair instead of catching them. So in the end, she grabbed a second net and put it over her head, using it as a hat.

Unfortunately, the hat net worked better than her failed attempts with her real net, and her scream as three juicy bugs caught in her hair was heard around the world.

Danny had skills with bugs, that much was true- but Amphi? Amphi had no skills with the cauldron. Danny watched and winced as the water splashed everywhere. No skills at all.

Eventually though, Amphi announced that she was done, and Danny nodded slowly. Poor thing. She couldn't tell a face like that that she'd done badly. "Good job! You're amazing at this stuff!"

However ... getting Danny near that mess of spills and bugs was not on the menu. It was a quick dash and Danny tossed the bugs in, and then darted away. A few of them slipped out, so only some of them made it in the batch. Oops.

Freya was still screaming as she tried to shake the bugs out and put them in her actual net. She lost one in the process of shaking.

So when it tried to crawl away, she squished it.

"THAT IS WHAT YEH GETS!"
