Rylyrr did his best to carefully set Dolmar down, trying not to jar the young man as he was laid down on the fabric litter. He gave a nod to Haukai and left her to tend to Dolmar and started to go back onto the sands, grimacing slightly at the blood stains on his robe.
Hopefully the bronze would be done with his mauling soon.

Akaris, who had hardly been attentive to the Hatching itself thus far, had more or less lost track of the baby bronze when he went in amongst the Candidates, presumably to look for His...but that hadn't been what he was doing at all. Even as Rylyrr moved off to join the rest, a commotion went up: the Demon was attacking a boy! But then Vimiath was moving, over this way, and the young woman flinched back reflexively, her grip on A'ral's hand tightening. She hadn't done anything! She hadn't said anything! She hadn't so much as thought anything bad, why-
Eyes shut, she pressed closer to the Candidatemaster, for surely the dragon wouldn't risk hurting him, would she? Regardless of whether or not it had to do with her proximity to A'ral and R'mor, nothing happened, and after long seconds she dared to open her eyes. Maybe Vimiath wasn't here for her, she dared to realize. Hope? The gold's focus wasn't on her, she wasn't even looking at her, she'd just...moved, and whatever was happening beyond her once-shining form, Akaris couldn't see. Not that she wanted to, except perhaps to know that Rylyrr and Lennik weren't falling to the bronze's claws. Whatever the reason the Queen had moved, there was now an extra buffer between her and any bloodshed, though that was passed off as a coincidence. Still, she all but clung to A'ral...who had gained another hanger-on in the form of a girl she didn't recognize. A faint sting of possessiveness ran through her, but, well. She couldn't blame the other Candidate for wanting to be here, too. She supposed it was alright.
R'mor moved between them and Vimiath (also between them and the suddenly wretched bronze, somewhere out there), and out of the corner of her eye she saw Junenth flare out his wings. She'd chosen well, when she'd optd to stay here rather than go with Lennik.

Yevalee
Yevalee rubbed at their arms, trying to find some comfort in the motion. The bronze had moved on to attacking another candidate and it looked like the boy was alive? “…Do they often do this?” They questioned softly, uncertain and glanced back at the much quieter and sweet Siren.
They glanced back and shifted slightly from foot to foot. Why was there so much mauling?

Nebbi
"I don't want to die!" she said to A'ral, her voice a strangled whisper. It was a dumb thing to say, but she couldn't help it. Two candidates were down now. One might even be dead. She wanted to be brave, but... What if she never got to see V'tre again? What if she never got to see her dad? She didn't have any cousins, her 'dad' didn't have any other children. She knew it would break his heart if something happened to her.
Was it always like this here? No one had died in the other hatching.
Miach let the candidate she had started to drag go so that he could be picked up and taken over to the sidelines. At least he wouldn't have to deal with the hot sand anymore. Miach had known that the boy would be to heavy for her to carry all that way. At least someone had been able to do it. Then she noticed that others there was an impression happening between the Siren egg and a girl she didn't know. A huge smile spread across her lips at the happy moment. Hopefully there would be more soon.
Kambri
The boy winced as he continued to watch the assault and then when it flew to the other boy. Well, it looked like his goal was to tear apart as many was possible in his search. Kambri huffed in disappointment. Who was going to impress that dragonet? They would certainly have their hands full.
Just as he was about to respond to Oerlen his attention shifted to the pair who were trying to distract the bronze. One had even tried to kick sand at it! Were they crazy? Kambri shook his head. "The bronze needs to stop but. . . There has to be a better way." He said to the boy before shaking out his arms. What was he thinking? Kambri moved closer to the bronze with his arms extended. "Hey, come here little one." He cooed at the bronze, knowing he was likely going to face the same fate but at least it was better than trying to berate and antagonize it. Surely it had to know what it was doing was not funny or fun. "Would you like to cuddle?" He asked, still talking gently to the bronze. Oh he was so going to die. "I must be crazy." He laughed.

L'ex
“Mmh, is that Rinis?” L’ex question, motioning to the girl moving to greet the Siren. “I really don’t know any of the candidates.” They turned to coo at Laena as she started to kneed their skirt. “Do you like my outfit little one, just be careful not to tear it okay?”
"And that is 1 green, and one girl." L'ex said, wondering how their bet would play out.
Nervous and a bit frightened, the girl made her way over to a small group of Candidates, none of whom she recognized. At least that pretty young Green had Impressed...but there was still the matter of the angry Bronze. No...Not angry....Sadistic was the better notation. Ah, he was strange....Instead, she found a young man that seemed to have someone hiding with him, "Um..." Her voice was soft, timid, "I'm sorry to bother you, but would you mind if I stood with you?" Lennik seemed a safe sort, "I'm one of the High Reaches kids, and I'm a bit...offput by the little Bronze over there." Shaking her head, the albino found herself WISHING she could do something about him. OH, how she'd like to scold him and make him leave those poor people alone.
C'yx and Iriseth
Her concern had the Blue draping himself closer, his wing heavy over her side as he crooned a soft song, changing from a welcome for the eggs, to a soothing tune for his beloved. Let her take comfort in him.

Wren
The Jewelcrafter had to scoff at the behavior of the Demon egg, rolling his eyes, and watching the Bronze with a critical eye. Such behavior was unbecoming of a dragonet, and honestly, Wren could care less if he was going to behave as such. May as well stay back here.

Shalaera
And when the Demon changed targets, Shalaera made another note to her bets. That was two out of six. Hopefully these dragonets wouldn't be too excited, but there was no fun in winning all of her bets.
L'ex's question made her look up as the green made her match, before shaking her head. "No. I have no bets for that candidate. So it looks like I lose that one. Unless Rinis doesn't impress a green..." or at all, but after 10 years of disappointment herself, Shalaera would not have wished that upon anybody. "But that is 1 green to 1 girl."

Alya
The girl said nothing, stifling a sob even as she nodded against Lennik's back. Why was this happening? This was supposed to be a happy day! A happy one... Her hand crept up to squeeze tight to Rio's, appreciating his comforting touch. "I don't want anyone to die..." She managed, though she selfishly appreciated the thought that they would try to protect her.
But if that dragon came here... she wouldn't blame them in the least for running. She would be running!

Roana managed to return a smile to Iathe as she offered her reassurances, but it was forced. She might say that but Roana still had half an eye on the bronze blazing a trail of blood through the sands. She flinched when he took down a second. "Crackdust." she cursed. "Is he not going to stop and impress?"
Then Iathe was nudging her again, her eyes followed the girls gesture and she stiffened. "Think it will remember what happened in its egg?" she asked already feeling her nerves tingling like a thousand needles were being pushed into her skin, the start of that flight or fight response. The reasons for her fear became clear when she answered Kiri. "Yes." she said simply. "Last time it got angry in response to the upset eggs and the chaos and now...." she gestured at the blood soaked sands.
Then, without warning, Iathe was moving. "Iathe!" Roana called the younger girl in unison with Kiri as they both noticed her bolting. She lurched forward to try and grab the sleeve of her white candidate robe and stop her but her her fingers closed on empty air. "Damnit Iathe, I thought we weren't going to be stupid?" she called after her.
However she didn't move from her spot with Kiri. "If we go after her now, we're just going to get caught up in it. A much as I hate it, we need to stay here. If she gets hurt though, we should go get her, help her to the healers."

On the sands, the Vampire egg began to tremble. It moved as though the hatchling inside was throwing its weight against one side and then the other. Although it did not yet show its face, a single claw poked out from beneath that golden egg.
The Angel rocked. Its anger radiated out, a deep censure filling the air nearby. How dare.

Skylla
Once everything was ready, she had taken a spot near Liat with Neith feeding her the information of what was going on. The bronze was mauling a candidate and then another, though at least the little green that had hatched had impressed to her own. "At least one of the hatchlings has made it's choice. I hope the bronze decides to soon as well, put an end to the bloodshed." She spoke to Liat, a small crease of worry on her features.
This was getting out of hand. First it the Demon had attacked Dolmar and now it was attacking another candidate and seemed to be doing so out of spite to those who had been helping Dolmar. As one of the candidate's moved to try and draw the bronzes attention away Henwas shook his head. "Sharding idiots. Are they trying to get attacked as well?" His emerald eyes watched as Dolmar was taken off the sands and to the side to be tended to, eyes flickering to the blood that dropped and stained the sand. The boy didn't seem too worse for wear, he was at least still alive.
Huarwar's face was worried as he watched the bronze hatchling, wanting to do something to help but, was there anything he could do? There would be no use in adding to the body count, it needed to find it's intended and then it would stop. Was this what that brilliant creature inside of the shell was truly like deep down? So much like Henwas that it was scary? The glee the dragonnet seemed to take in ripping into the two boys, he had seen and felt the same look upon Henwas before.
Rainbow met her eyes and she nearly shook with excitement that overtook her, excitement that came from somewhere deep down that she hadn't known she even possessed. Suddenly she heard a voice, beautiful and perfect as a bell, it was everything she had within her soul at that moment not to sink to the ground when she realized the voice was hers, only and forever hers!
One large hand reached down and ran slowly along the muzzle up to the small knobs at the back of the little wedged head and reveled in the soft skin and the beauty that she could not tear herself from. Dropping to one knee finally and looking into the eyes of her beautiful lifemate, Amra let a laugh pull from her and the smile that split her normally emotionless face shown with all the brightness she felt within her own heart. Seirath responded by laughing herself and swirling her eyes to a brilliant purple color as her small body moved fluidly around Amra's. Though not at all large she was able to move as gracefully as any dragon that the tall young woman had ever seen and certainly she was beautiful!
Specklings of freckles danced across her face and with the dark wings she sported and spiraling markings on her tail she was something to behold. Certainly she would shine brighter and brighter everyday now!
Yes! None shall shine brighter in the sunlight than we two!
"Oh beautiful Seirath, I have no doubt." There was no need for her to express just how overjoyed she was, for it seemed that her wonderful dragon knew just what she was feeling! "Shall we go fill up that pale stomach of yours and see to your needs?"
Far be it for someone to say that she didn't soak up her Master's teachings! Amra knew that Seirath needed both food and oiling quickly, for she had only just hatched and would soon itch from the rough and soon to grow skin. She would never allow her beautiful green dragon to be so inconvenienced by itchiness on their first evening together, such things were just not acceptable!
Something to eat would be lovely, where to mine?
If Amra's heart leapt at a dragon reffering to her as 'mine' she tried her best to keep it to herself and stood as gracefully as her shaking body could manage. Later, once in her own mind and calmer she would most likely laugh at the attempts she made to be as graceful as her dainty dragon, but for now she was already soaring, if only in her heart.
--------------------------------
Onasta & Jibasth/Nicara & Diesteth
The blood on the sands had distracted her for a moment before she even attempted to talk to her friend and Yarala deserved her attention of course! But to tear her eyes away from the carnage when there were two dragonets on the sands walking ever towards Ryala and Roana..
You should never allow yourself to feel this much fear beloved. The Candidatemaster has done all he can to train them in so short a time, they will be fine.
She finally tore away from the sight when she felt Onasta elbow her in the ribs, quite a feat considering the height difference between the two of them. Nicara turned her eyes towards Yarala and she let a weak smile cross her face momentarily before she was shoved bodily over towards her wingmate.
"She'll perk up in a few minutes, I promise! She's just concerned about the two candidates she picked up recently in a Hold. My name's Onasta and it's nice to meet another woman riding a brown." Onasta patted the leg of her immense brown who turned his head from the happenings below to greet the other brown with a welcoming hum.
Catching herself on Vorzeth's leg, Nicara sat her thin body down heavily and leaned back with an equally heavy sigh. "Sorry, it's good to see you Yarala." Her smile this time was stronger.
Vorzeth! How has it been so far? The little monster on the sands been doing such things long?
Diesteth was loath to admit that he was concerned himself but he could certainly feel the panic coming from the sands and it was hard to ignore for one so tuned into the delicate feelings of candidates!

The Werewolf Egg All the buzz and activity suddenly made this egg rock and roll. It was like whoever was in was scrabbling to come out! It rolled a few paces down its mound of sand, before it cracked open to reveal a green. Out she spilled, and with a happy bugle it didn't even wait before it started running through the Candidates. It wanted to play too! Look at it!
Up she jumped, happily snapping at Yevalee, latching onto them with her jaws and giving a mighty yank. Cloth and skin might be torn, but unlike the Demon, there was no malice here -- just a game. A rough game. A game that still might end in bloodshed, especially as the creature started to running, without letting Yevalee, or their robe, go.
Shaddaling
Have fun! Welcome to the Werewolf Train! Up to you how hurt you want them, though some damage will be taken from a bite, with all her weight coming down on skin and cloth.
The Ghoul Egg . . . something smelled good. Something smelled really good. And someone was awfully jealous, to boot. The Ghoul heard the excitement going on outside, and sudden started wiggling. Out! Out now, out now, out now! What was going on? Was there food? Was there something tasty out there? With a might shrug, the egg's top popped off, and another green head peered out.
Oooooh. Something looked good! With a little push, she shove her way out of the egg, though half of the shell remained stuck on her plump hind-quarters. As she waddled, the egg slowly started to shed from her...but it would take some time for it to be fully off.
Now. Where was the food? A-ha!
Turning away from the Candidates, the green started waddlng faster, and faster, until it was making a bee-line for the exit. She was clever and knew what was up. And she wanted to eat! Any Candidates she runs by will suddenly find themselves aching with hunger!
The Hunter Egg The anger, the rage, the emotion -- it was all too much. With a loud shriek the reclusive brown egg exploded, revealing a very angry bronze. It hatched on its side, though, and in its squirming desire to get to its feet, he knocked over a medium Muave Egg, cracking it in the process.
His eyes were red, and he shrieked warning at The Demon. But first.... First it had a mission. Turning on the Candidates, this bronze hastily made its way over to The Angel, and threw itself at the egg, clawing, biting, kicking at the shell. It would need all the help it could get to put down this monster.
The Surprising Mauve NPC Egg The Mauve NPC Egg didn't expect to be jostled so suddenly. Instead, the long crack that appeared grew, until it circled the egg. It wiggled, it shifted, and then it stopped. There was an awful lot going on. Did it really want to come out?

Silviu (HR)
At Kieza’s suggestion, Silviu focused on inhaling and exhaling, trying his darndest not to pay attention to the second mauling that was going on. “I’m… I’m okay,” he got out, and nearly retched again. What he wouldn’t give for some water! He sidled a little closer to the girl, grateful for her kindness in this scary time.
”Mewsings of An Angel”
Vimiath
Junenth’s words brought Vimiath’s attention back to the Demon. The infant had moved on to a second candidate and was bloodying that one up, as well. If Talela had been present, this wouldn’t have happened, Vimiath was sure. The gold was all but lost without her rider’s gentle guidance. What would her dearest have done?
She sent out tendrils of thought towards the little bronze, determined to put an end to his violent play. Child, it is time for you to seek out your lifemate. Leave the spares and go. They are not for you, but they may be for another. Leave them be.
Though she was firm with her own offspring, the strong emotions of another pressed against her from behind, thoughts and fears that made her hearts sink. There was another task that needed her attention, and she dared not put it off any longer, lest she cause more trouble with a misunderstanding. She turned and looked directly at Akaris, dropping her head to eye-level.
Akaris, please do not fear me anymore. I regret the punishment I gave you, I regret it very much so. My dearest has been ill for too long, and now lies near death. I have not honored her as I should have. She knew she had terrified the girl within an inch of her life, but she had to try to make amends. Ever so gently, she touched the girl’s mind with soft wisps of her thoughts – grief, fear, remorse, and a tentative hope for forgiveness. She lowered a wing, holding it arched, as if she were reaching to cover something. You need not fear me, or my children on this day. If you would come under my wing, I can protect you better than those men might.
