Physical Description: Allamor tops out at 5’10” and is very handsome with wavy dark brown hair and vibrant green almond shaped eyes. He is broad shouldered and well muscled. Though if you told him he was attractive he would disagree. After all, isn’t this what most riders look like? It seems rather ordinary to him.


Personality: Allamor is a romantic through and through. He is idealistic, believing in the good in everything and everyone. Every person has to have something good inside. Somewhere. Even if it is really, really, hard to see right now, Allamor knows it is there. He dreams of going on grand adventures and great heroic acts. He wants to save the damsels, or dames he isn’t that particular, in distress. He is bold and reckless with his own safety, more likely to follow his whims than any logical thought. Bravery he has in spades.

He is thoughtful and caring of others, wanting to be kind and considerate. However he is also painfully honest and attempting to lie is extremely difficult. He can’t really tell white lies much less any other sort. He has sort of learned to say nothing, but, to those that know him, that is as telling as him saying anything at all because he likes to talk.

Allamor will give and offer help without a second thought. If he has the capability he will try to provide it. This makes him easy to manipulate. Frankly he is easy to manipulate in general, both thoughts and emotions. And from there, his actions can be manipulated. He is susceptible to influences around him.

History: A flight baby whose mom wanted nothing to do with him after he was born (he was a troublesome pregnancy), Allamor was lucky to have a father, R’mor, who did want him and a second dad, L’cal as well who had just come into the picture. He also had many older siblings including a pair of twin sisters only a few years older than him. Allamor idolized them and could often be found following them around, much to their annoyance.

He went on a lot of adventures as a child, many of them were only adventures to him. He could make errands into adventures and loved to imagine the importance of what he was doing. He love to try to join his sisters on their ‘adventures’ but they were not interested in him joining. Life was fun of wonder and joy.

This was partly because he couldn’t see the bad, like the growing tension between his dad and second dad, and partly because things actually did go rather well. So it was a great surprise when his dads split up and very hard on Allamor. This wasn’t the way things were supposed to be. L’cal told Allamor all about how neglectful R’mor had been to L’cal and Allamor was angry at dad for hurting second dad so much. It took the intervention of several siblings to get Allamor to see how jealous and controlling L’cal had been. Allamor felt terrible for believing the worst in dad and though he apologized still carries that guilt.

Having dad promoted to Weyrleader a few years earlier had little effect on Allamor’s opinion on his dad. His dad was awesome and he was glad that everyone saw that. Even when he was siding with L’cal, Allamor didn’t hate R’mor. He was hurt and disappointed, but still loved the man who had raised him and taken him on adventures as a child.

When Thread fell the first time in so long he was in shock. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. He worked tirelessly where he could to help with cleaning and chores so that those more skilled could focus on the more important tasks. The world would never be the same he knew and he wasn’t sure what to think. Allamor worked himself almost sick himself.

Hatchings are hard as he stands and doesn’t impressed but he also believes in the perfect dragon finding him in a heart wrenching scene to be remembered for the rest of the life. He continues to stand as a candidate proudly, but chooses to stand only at Western.

Origin of Name: From the Ottoman Turkish kahve, which is derived from the Arabic gahwah, a type of wine that takes its name from the verb gahiya. This means "to lack hunger."

Inspiration: Irish Coffee

Irish coffee is a cocktail consisting of hot coffee, Irish whiskey, and sugar, stirred, and topped with cream. The coffee is drunk through the cream.

Different variations of coffee cocktails pre-date the now-classic Irish coffee by at least 100 years.

From the mid-19th century, the Pharisäer and the Fiaker were served in Viennese coffee houses; both were coffee cocktails served in glass, topped with whipped cream. The former was also known in northern Germany and Denmark around that time. Around 1900, the coffee cocktail menu in the Viennese cafés also included Kaisermelange, Maria Theresia, Biedermeier-Kaffee and a handful of other variations on the theme.

In 19th-century France, a mixture of coffee and spirits was called a gloria.

Several places claim to have developed the modern recipe in the 1950s. One version is attributed to a Joe Sheridan, head chef at the restaurant and coffee shop in the Foynes Airbase Flying boat terminal building, County Limerick. In 1942 or 1943 he added whiskey to the coffee of some disembarking passengers.

Stanton Delaplane, a travel writer for the San Francisco Chronicle, maintains he brought Irish coffee to the United States after drinking it at Shannon Airport. His version is that he worked with the Buena Vista Cafe in San Francisco to start serving it on November 10, 1952., Sheridan later emigrated to work at the Buena Vista Cafe.

It is also told that the original maker of the now infamous Irish coffee was invented by Joseph Jackson, of Jackson’s hotel Ballybofey county Donegal, who whilst fighting in World War II made the drink in an effort to keep his fellow comrades awake through the night under attack from German soldiers. Following the war he brought the drink that he invented back to Donegal, making the first Irish Coffee.

Personality: A dragon of deep passions, brown Kahveth experiences his emotions keenly. He's a bold, strong fellow with deep convictions. One could never successfully accuse Kahveth for being a hypocrite, as it's just not in his nature. He says what he means and he means what he says, and that's that! Oh sure, you might say he has a bit of a temper, but once he's had it out, he's able to calm down fairly quickly. Although he can hold a grudge for awhile, ultimately he'll probably learn to forgive and to forget. It's just that if someone keeps doing the same sort of thing, and it runs contrary to his own values, they'll probably go right back in his bad books.

Kahveth is a friendly fellow and loves nothing more than to be surrounded by his comrades. It has never occurred to him not to be confident, as he doesn't really see what there is to be afraid of. In fact, it might be difficult to find anything at all that he truly fears. One might say he's a little bit of a dare devil, but that's just because he is a very brave dragon. Then again, he's also a bit... convinced of his own immortality. It'll take a really close call to convince him otherwise, and even then that might just be temporary. After all, dragons are known to bounce back fairly well from trauma.

When it comes to love, Kahveth is likely to be in over his head. He's a bit foolhardy, and that doesn't help him to keep a level head when it comes to the fairer sex (or his own.) What might seem like a straightforward arrangement to Kahveth may actually be something far deeper, and although he does possess quite large hearts that doesn't mean he's wise. In fact, he's very much the opposite. Not a dullard, but definitely not a sage by any means, Kahveth goes through life like a bull in a china shop. He does have a very sweet center, and the more others get to know him, the likelier it is that they'll have a chance to see it firsthand.

Deep, deep down Kahveth is a little immature. He wants so badly to be taken seriously, but it can be hard to feel as though his voice is being heard. Perhaps he has a childish way of expressing himself from time to time, but that doesn't make him any less genuine or any less serious! It's not fair, and that sense of unfairness is probably what makes Kahveth appear so resistant to growing up. He can be very, very stubborn, and once he's decided that someone was in the wrong he won't let it go easily. If it gets him in trouble, well... in trouble he'll be.

Physical Attributes: Surprisingly sleek for his size, yet possessed of corded muscle that gives the lie to his smooth appearance. Quite a handsome fellow indeed.

Additional Notes: Kahveth is likely to get his hearts broken a number of times before he finds Mr. or Mrs. Right. He feels so deeply, but can't necessarily tell when someone is being genuine versus leading him on. They'd be foolish to do the latter, but if it were to happen he'd be devastated. Inclined to chase where his hearts take him. Medium flame length, extra strong overall in Threadfall.

Impression Effect: Handsome? No, Allamor is the most stunning man in the Weyr, thank you very much. Allamor just got +20 charisma, and... does he glow slightly around the edges? No? Maybe that's just the imagination of some swooning fanboys and girls.

Why Me? Allamor gets Kahveth! They are both romantic at heart, and no doubt will spend quite a bit of time bonding over Kahveth's woes in love. Although he has a very strong tie to his family, Kahveth's relationship with his sisters can be a little fraught, something he knew instantly that Allamor would understand. He appreciates the idealist in Allamor, and wants to meet him where he's at. Of course, it will be up to Allamor to settle his brown when he loses his temper... something which Kahveth knows he can trust his rider with.
