Kyumi would glance over at Omi with uncertainty. She wasn't quite sure that she wanted to answer after what had just happened with Kenichi. When she hesitated to answer, Omi would sigh and get up to greet whoever it was.

"Omi!" Kyumi would urgently hiss at her attendant. The other woman give her a look.

"Watch the tea. There's no reason for there to be a repeat of your last encounter." Omi would coolly whisper back as Kyumi looked a little depressed at the reference to Kenichi. Omi would continue on to the tent entrance to peer at their guest.

"That depends, My Lord. Might I ask as to who wishes to enter? My mistress is being rather particular tonight as to who she wishes to see."

@ Lioness Shenanigans:

The man would nod his head in response to the servant's inquiry. "That is a fair enough question to ask. My name is Isawa Sosuke, and I'm the older brother of Isawa Toyoko, a friend of Kitsu Kyumi. I believe she is currently entertaining her, and as Toyoko's yojimbo, I request to be present and vigilant over her safety."

"Thank you for your sage words, Kan-san. You have helped me greatly, and have taken a heavy burden off my shoulders. About Toyoko, perhaps Kyumi-san could talk with her, maybe warn her? She's a very nice girl, and I had a great time with her, even though she only spoke of Koan. I wouldn't want her to get hurt. At least she'll have Kuymi-san by her side, should anything happen. I should speak with Koan-san, tell him of my decision."

@ Lioness Shenanigans

Seeing who it was, Omi would step outside of the tent, leaving Kyumi to watch curiously and try to get a glimpse at why her servant had left.

"Forgive me for overstepping my place, My Lord..." Omi would reply before lowering her voice. "I say this as a peasant who has overheard what she should not. Not as my mistress' servant. "

Omi would take a deep breath, as if she were gathering up further courage to continue. "Isawa Toyoko-sama is likely with the Crane man she fancies. I believe she and Doji Koan-sama intended to be at the Crane Tent this night, but that may not be the case... I heard of this plan before today's competitions started, so there is always the chance that their plan may have changed..."

The servant would bow as lowly as she could without making too much of a spectacle of them both. Then she would make her final and desperate plea. "Should your honorable sister ask as to who told you of her plans, please... Tell her not of my mistress and only of this foolish peasant."

All the while, Kyumi would sit, minding the tea as she waited for Omi to return. At least, she would until she began to hear what sounded like quiet whispering outside. Eventually, she would give in to temptation and try to peek out of the tent to see what was going on. All she caught was the end of Omi's plea...

((Rolling 5k2 for Etiquette, mostly to show that Omi sincerely doesn't want Kyumi to get in trouble with Toyoko because she tattled. 5k2 = 23))

Sosuke would blink.

And slowly, but gradually, become redder and redder, tightening his fists and grinding his teeth.

And he would turn around and leave without a word.

@ Lion Shenanigans:

"I'm glad I could have helped, Seichiro-san. I think having Kyumi-san speak with Toyoko-san is an excellent idea. You-

Kan would stop, looking behind Seichiro. If the Lion would turn around, they would see the Phoenix bushi heading off away from their own tent, drawing his katana as he began to hurry his pace.

"That's... probably worth your attention, Seichiro-san. I'm a monk, and shouldn't involve myself with samurai affairs; however, I can come with you if you wish."

Does Seichiro decide to meddle in Sosuke's affairs and take up chase?

@Crane Shenanigans

'Nightwalkers, what?' He shook his head. "It seems you mistake me for someone I am not. However, I will not stand idly if you try to attack me and thus I will be forced to defend myself." His eyes slitted, studying her.

'Are all the females here as crazy as Kaori-san and Wazuka-san?'

Omi would wait a moment or two, still deeply bowing, as if she were waiting for Sosuke to run her through for her behavior. However, when that turned out to not be the case, she would nervously look up to see the now angered bushi leave. Once he had gone far enough away that she was certain that he was done with her, Omi would rush back to the tent. As she opened the tent flap, she'd run straight into Kyumi. The shugenja would glance over Omi and would watch Sosuke's retreating figure. She would then stare at Omi.

"Isawa-san came to see us? Omi... Just what did you tell him that made him so angry?"

Omi would gulp before quietly answering."I... I only did what I thought your elder brother would have wanted..."

Kyumi would look confused for a moment."Come again?"

Omi would look fearful as she quietly continued."I told him where your friend was... I... I thought it would be what your brother would have wanted..."

"You. Did. WHAT?!"Kyumi raised her voice; her expression was filled with an anger she could barely contained. Omi would flinch as she saw her mistress begin to raise her hand towards her. The attendant would clench her eyes shut, and would wait for slap that, for now, would not come.

"I do not want to see you until this tournament is over." Kyumi's voice sounded strained and pained. "If I need you, I will look for you. Tell the Crane Supervisors that, while it is late, your mistress wishes to pay back their kindness and hospitality and has sent you to help out for the remaining few days. I'm sure they can think of something for you to do." She paused, and when Kyumi spoke next, it sounded and looked as though she was on verge of breaking down in tears. "Now GO! Don't let me change my mind, and don't you EVER do this to me again!" Kyumi would turn away as Omi would silently scramble out of the tent as if her life depended on it.

Kyumi would turn to the tea, and would begin to pour herself a cup. However, trying to pour hot tea while being distressed would prove to be not as good an idea as Kyumi thought. In her distracted state, she would accidentally end up pouring the incredibly hot water onto her free hand; leaving behind a painful scalding burn. She would let out a pained yelp, and immediately set out to treating it.

@ Crane Shenanigans:

Zanzen would refuse to back down, and Wazuka seemed determined to get her man! The very air between them seemed to become electrified, as each one tensed, to see who would make the first move...

Suddenly, Wazuka would rus-

"ZANZEN-SAN!"

"Wah!" Wazuka bellowed, the sudden holler startling her and forcing her to lose her balance, as she faceplanted on the ground before the chest.

"Zanzen-san!" Sosuke would repeat, visibly heated, his katana drawn. "I humbly request to know if Doji Koan is with my sister in your Clan's tent! If so, I beseech you to pretend you don't see me go there to cut him down if he so much as lays a finger on her!"

Zanzen?

@ Lioness Shenanigans:

"..." Ide Jiro would look over his shoulder as he pushed open the tent flap, before peeking in. "I hope I'm not intruding. Sorry if I'm overstepping my bounds, but I don't think dismissing your servant so harshly JUST to spend time alone with me was quite that necessary..."

With him, he carried a strangely made jug of some sort, that was nearly translucent, yet difficult to see through; however, it did seem to contain a liquid within it.

@Crane-Lioness? Shenanigans

"Sosuke-san." He would turn, nodding his head to the man. "I must apologize, but I do not know what Koan-san's plans for this evening are. Here merely 'suggested' I go take a walk for awhile. If you would like, I could go with you to check." Taking a moment, he walked over and helped Wazuka up, whispering softly. "Please go tell some guards or one of the magistrates that there may be problems near the Crane tents."

He would then proceed to escort Sosuke to the tents, or perhaps chase after him as needed.

@ Crane Shenanigans:

Wazuka seemed momentarily confused, but would nod when explained what she should do by Zanzen.

"Truth be told, I'd rather you not!" Sosuke would waste no more time as he hurried towards the Crane Tent, leaving Zanzen the option to follow if he saw fit.

Once Sosuke's attention was no longer on the duo, Wazuka would take off in a run towards the Daidoji barracks part of the compound. Man, she was fast...

Zanzen, do you still follow?

@Crane Shenanigans

Zanzen would turn and follow after Sosuke. No one needed to die today, if he could help it.

@ Crane Tent:

Zanzen would see Sosuke go to the entrance of the Crane tent, only to have several of the Crane's servant delegates blocking his entrance. Despite his displayed steel, they seemed adamant about denying him access.

Sosuke would then break off at a run around the perimeter of the tent, and simply create his own entrance with one deft swing of his sword. The servants were running to him, getting there around the time Zanzen would, but only after Sosuke had entered.

Heated words between him and Doji Koan started immediately.

@Crane SERIOUSNESS

Zanzen would quickly enter, moving so that he could easily intercept should Sosuke try to attack Koan. As much as he disliked his fellow Crane, the man didn't need to get attacked over trying to win over a lady.
