'If he decides to miss out on good food then so be it, more for us.' Masaru would laugh before finishing off his water and throwing the bottle in the trash. 'Ah, I see. I know what you mean. My uncle is the same way. Maybe they would get along?' Masaru would chuckle softly just at the sheer thought of that happening.

Ibara was still a little sore but it seemed no one minded the large explosion just outside the academy. Ibara thought to himself, 'It must happen all the time.' He shrugged and made his way back inside to learn some more. He figured he'd stop dabbling in elemental stuff for a bit and work on his clan's jutsu, the academy had a pretty good section on his clan since they were a large part of Konohagakure. He walked slowly around the side of the building limping a bit but otherwise feeling ok. Once he reached the door the group that were just inside the door had just finished their bickering. Ibara walked quickly past them not to get noticed and drawn into the squabble.
Ibara finally reached the library and found the Yamanaka clan jutsu section. He pulled down as many scrolls as he could, this was going to be one hell of a read but he didn't care, it was better to get all this stuff out of the way and done with than to have to come back over and over. Ibara hurried to a tale and placed the pile of scrolls he collected down gently before grabbing the one on the top and opening it as he sat down.
Ibara began to read the scroll, it described how the Yamanaka clan could use their hair, or any other small object such as a flower petal (Ugh) to trap someone into a mind body switch. Ibara hadn't read about the mind body switch yet but he knew this could be useful. He read on about how the technique worked by infusing chakra into the hair or object of choice and laying them around as traps. Once the opponent stepped on the object the mind body switch would activate and Ibara would have total control of their body.

Ibara rolled the scroll back into itself and decided to read the mind body switch this time. He opened the scroll and was a bit overwhelmed by the information it looked like this would take a while. After a few minutes of reading Ibara realized it was quite a simple technique. The mind body switch was much like a genjutsu. The person traped would have to perform a kai by using a chakra tug of war with Ibara. This made Ibara happy he knew he had a deep chakra pool and would make it difficult for anyone to force him out.

Ibara rolled that scroll up and grabbed the next one. 'Eye Mind Reading.' As he read he realized this was not a combat skill at all or if it was he would need his team mates to cover him while he did this because it would leave him very much so open to attack. He would have to take the team to weave a seal with his eyes then he would be able to retrieve any data he needed. Also, Ibara could use it on himself to allow people to see the information in his mind to prove innocence or that he is telling the truth.

Ibara placed the eye mind reading scroll back and picked up the one simply labeled "Mind Reading." This was pretty much the same as before except this was absolutely not intended for combat he would not be able to defend himself at all and had to expose himself by placing his hand on the targets head. Other than that it was the same as the previous scroll, retrieve information from the target. Ibara would not be able to use this on himself to allow others to see inside his mind though.

Ibara again returned the scroll keeping the scrolls he read seperate from the ones he had not yet, the scroll he picked up next was an interesting one. As he sat there thinking how this could be useful he realized he could use it to switch a squadmate and an opponent so the squad mate could quickly commit 'suicide' then switch back as the person lay on the ground dying. It was brutal but Ibara kind of liked it.

As Ibara read the scroll he realized it was the same as the Mind body switch just a slight variation on it. By switching two other people it allowed him safety by being able to move and attack and such. This technique could be very very useful to Ibara in the future.

Finally Ibara picked up the last scroll, it was the most interesting looking to him and wanted to save it for last. It was labeled 'Shinranshin no Jutsu' or Mind disturbance technique. This technique allowed Ibara to manipulate a person without injecting his consciousness into them. Pretty much a mind control. Allowing him to manipulate others without any risk to his mind.

As Ibara read about the technique he realized it would be good for deep cover espionage as well. By Controling the person he would be able to go where he normally wouldn't be able to go. Such as entering enemy villages undetected under the guise of one of their shinobi. It was brilliant and Ibara would have to test this one as soon as he was able to. Ibara wasn't easily excited but this... this excited him quite a bit.

With a sigh of relief Ibara stood from his seat and stretched his back. He had been reading for a while and it was a bore til that last scroll but all the better now that it was done with. Ibara cracked his neck then his back and walked out of the library leaving the scrolls lying on the table. Headed back to where the commotion was. Ibara had seen the Hokage and wanted to talk to him for a moment.
Ibara walked down the hallway into the giant room where there were quite a few people. He saw the hokage standing by a trash can throwing what looked to be an empty bottle into it. Ibara raised his hand to flag down the Hokage. "Lord Hokage! If I may speak to you for a moment?"
☦ Kojin walked a good distance away from everyone only to see her father watching her. Keeping his eyes on her she sighed softly knowing he was monitoring her. At least with this she would be able to learn jutsu quicker right? Due to the fact that she had her own father watching her. Making sure that she wasn't doing anything wrong. It was a very good thing right? Or was he staying to make sure that she didn't do anything else. To make sure that she wasn't able to gain any honor or respect in any way. Growling softly she put her hood back up over her head and turned her back on him. What the hell was her father up to know with her? She had heard various rumors through the village about a dark secret though. One that would change a shinobi's life forever if they are the ones that are selected. 4
As she continued to think about this secret she let out a soft sigh. From what the rumors were going on about there were quite a few people they were thinking about. Among those choices Kojin was supposedly apart of it. She wouldn't mind it but she would want to know about it ahead of time to get her bearing on such a task. Closing her eyes she began to relax or try her best to do such. She needed to regain her composure in order to satisfy her chakra. She had to become distant again and not care about anything or anyone. This was the way she found her chakra reacted better than anything. Her Hyouton clan ancestry was both a gift and a curse. Within her father's eyes it was more of a curse than anything. Due to the fact that it made her such a cold hearted person. 8
This was how her clan was supposed to be. Lone mercenaries that would end up running the shinobi nations one day. Especially with how powerful she was to become. Her bloodline had something special to it that allowed it to not only stand up against elemental weaknesses but overcome it. Something like that would be highly treasured in her future. This would be the only thing she would ever need within her life. This would mean everything to her and forge her future. With her own hands she was going to attempt to change the shinobi nations. No... she was going to change the nations no matter what. She didn't care who would get in her way nor how many tried. She would defeat everyone when she became stronger. There had to be a light within the nations to shine brightly. 12
This light would be the one thing that showed everyone that they had courage within them. The courage to do what was right and vanquish the evils of the land. The courage to lead them all to glory and paradise! As she continued this train of thought she snapped out of it and sighed heavily. Scratching the back of her neck she began to think of what the hell was overcoming her. This definitely wasn't like her normal self.... 14
Taking a step back from her training she began to analyze herself. Trying to figure out what the hell was going on with her mind. She wasn't the nice person at all. She was far from being a good person as well. So what was going on with her own mind? Was she starting to betray her own personality? 16
She shouldn't care about people at all. She was supposed to hate them in reality and want to kill them all. Then it hit her and she became slightly aggravated. Her father's teachings were wearing off on her. This was going to be somewhat difficult to overcome. The fact that her father was having some bearing about her ways. 18
Erebos calmed down now and was able to think as he normally did. he got up slowly and moved himself into the chair in front of Koan and faced her so they were face to face. his expression would seem distant and uninterested but his voice would betray that he was very much wanting Koan to listen and understand him.
"Princess. we are naught bu human. and as humans we have emotions. dont supress an emotion simply because you find it to be a hindrance. learn to embrace it and control it."
he said now pulling out a kunai and started to scratch the top of the desk with it. his other free hand would move to rest just along the other edge of the desk so that Koan either would have to put her arms between his or on his one arm if she were to put them on the desk. he would then breifly breath a quick breath to blow some hair from his eyes and focus back on Koan.
"you are upset. that much i can tell. but you must never let anyone but me see that. if they can they will exploit it and you will be weaker for it. but you must not keep everything inside you otherwise you will become self destructive and that is no better. you must remember that in our line of work it is kill or be killed."
he said letting her ponder over what he'd said as he began to draw little designs of stick men into the table.

Masaru thought about when he was actually free to do so. 'Hmm.. I still have a few things to do, so maybe tomorrow or so? I'll send a messenger bird to let you know when I am free. Sound good?' Masaru would smile before his attention would be pulled to a blonde male who had started to walk up. Masaru would turn his gaze to meet with Ibara's, letting him know that he had seen him and took notice of his presence. 'Yes Ibara-kun, what is it?' He would offer the young Yamanaka a smile.
A soft sigh escaped her lips as she watched the exchange between the male and female whom Koan had mentally put through the ringer. Either they ignored her blatantly or they were just to caught up in their own worlds to see her or hear her speak. It didn't matter though, according to what she heard Masahiro say they would be getting acquainted soon enough. Seemed that they would be the newest additions to her team. Absently she pondered Masahi's ability to control and teach so many youths while she nodded at him in agreement with his command to move out. She would go to check on Koan. Cam hadn't known her long but she knew that she had a tendency to boil over like a kettle of water and once there was no water left to burn she would be in need of a friend.
Following the sound of crunching brick and Koan's raised voice she moved her way into an adjacent room where she found Koan and a male talking. Quietly she approached, her face impassive, she didn't want to startle the girl or set off the male who seemed to be trying to console her. With a flick of her eyes she took note of the indentation Koan had inflicted on the wall. There were streaks of blood and flesh embedded in the fragmented pieces of stone. Concern flashed through Cambria's eyes as she looked back to Koan. She spoke softly, but not chiddingly, to her friend. After all she looked like she had been in a lot of pain and it was possible that the teasing tone Cam had taken when she addressed her before had only sought to accentuate it.
"Koan?" she asked, "If you want me to leave say it now, but if not I would like to take a look at your hand. It's bleeding and I'm sure it has to be hurting at least a little bit." She knew that Koan was independent and would probably want space but she felt it salient to try and tend to the self-inflicted wounds on her friend's hand. With an effort to sound sincere she said, "Please, and I am sorry if I agitated you earlier with what I said, I meant it only in jest." Now she would wait for her reply. With a quick nod she aknowledged the male with whom she was speaking. It wasn't like she had forgotten about him she was just more focused on Koan that speaking to the other person just didn't seem as much of a priority.

Jurei chuckled a bit. "Fine by me, I have some training to catch up on anyway Hokage-sama. Send for me when you will." he said bowing and returning to his training. He parted ways with Masaru and began to sit in meditation.
As he sat and pondered he recalled his battle with Shiorei, moving his hands over the usual signs for jutsu. Why did he harbor such intense negative feelings towards him?
Perhaps its something Jurei would never know but it seemed to matter little in the grand scheme of things. Their father would be disappointed to see their lack of teamwork.
As he continued to focus his chakra his aura began to flare in the typical shape of the tree. He could feel his chakra begin to swell as his power began to grow, a greater power rising up.

It wasnt that she was opposed to taking life it was that she was afraid she would enjoy it. She knew her father enjoyed his job and she didnt want to turn into him. The storm of emotions within her began to die as she watched him draw as her still slightly bleeding hand came to rest upon his hand. When Cam walked in and inquired if she could heal her hand she said," Um yes thank you. It wasnt anything you said or did that caused my anger to snap it was something else something foreign. I apologize if I offended you in any way. These emotions are not my own. They feel... different. They are more intense than anything I have ever felt before. They consume everything and when they leave, I feel sick to my stomach like a pit of blackness." At that moment the two of them would see something that noboby had ever seen before, the proud uchiha princess's crimson eyes began to shed tears. It wasnt full blown sobbing but her tears did began to streak onto the table between them.

☦ It was at this point that Kojin felt somewhat pleased with her progress and she relaxed a bit. Looking over at her father she glared at him a bit wondering what he was up to. Why was all of this going on? Why was he interfering with her affairs. There was a strong possibility that she was going to lose that battle she knew this. But none the less she would have not given up within that fight so why the hell did he intervene!? Why now of all times when he wasn't there for her for so long? What the hell was he up to at this point? As the questions continued to rise within her soul her eyes began to glow from her chakra. Confusion swept her heart from under her mind at this point and her hands tightened into fists. A single question rose into her mind. Was she always going to be in his shadow.
Erebos was a little surprised at the entrance of the other woman but at the same time was trying to hide his blushing. with Koan's hand on his, he'd suddenly thought about how pretty she was and that maby she liked him. these weren't thoughts he should be having and instead focused more on drawing on the desk. he began to draw a picture of himself. listening to the other two talk it was clear that they were close friends or at least closer than he was to Koan. suddenly Koan began to cry and Erebos stopped for a minute and clutched her arm soothingly with his while the other one began to draw her.
"Pri- Koan, these emotions may not be yours and they may make you feel terrible but you are not alone. we are shinobi. we live in shadows and hide in darkness. but we are not alone and will never be alone. I do not know what haunts you and i will not ask. but you must realise that your fear comes from knowing the darkness of our work. you need not like it but even if you do... let me say this now. we three will be bound together as friends from today on. we will stay side by side and work in the darkness together."
he now began to draw this third person. he may have been presumptuous in saying they were all friends but Koan seemed to need the reasurance that she was not going to be alone. he finnished the picture on the desk that he'd been drawing. it was a zigzag line which was supposed to be grass and then three identical stick people who were supposed to each be one of the three of them. his artistic talent was significantly lacking and they'd likely laugh a little at it but he was proud of it. he flicked his attention between the two women waiting to see what they said.

Ibara spoke quickly getting straight to the point. He was a no bullshit kind of guy anyway. "Well, I finished my training and i'm kind of bored, is there anything I can do without a squad?" His hand had wandered back to the lump on his head not as sore but still tender from where he had whacked it against the wall.

Masaru was kinda glad that Ibara got to it quickly. He was anxious to get back to training. 'If you wish, you can go and complete missions from the mission board. I grant you access to B rank missions if you feel up to it.' Masaru would form a clone to finish the conversation before leaving back towards his training spot. 'Don't take it the wrong way, just busy is all Ibara-kun!' He called back as he waved to the blonde male.
Smiling warmly at Koan pleased that she would accept her apology as well as allow her to heal her injured hand. For a moment she thought about what she had been through and the pain that she undoubtedly had gone through. Thinking back to her interaction with Masahiro she recreated the beautiful Icey Cherry Blossom that had touched her sensei's tender side with it's simple elegance and what it stood for. It meant doing the right thing even if it hurt, it meant not running from the past, and being who you were meant to be. Holding the small bud to the woman's good hand she set to work on healing the bad one.
It wouldn't take her but a few minutes to diagnose the malady and heal it right up. Since Cam knew where the injury was she wouldn't need to do a long drawn out process to find the issue. It was more or less just going to be her looking for broken bones and blood vessels in the process. Reaching out she took ahold of the hand in question and looked it over before holding her own hand above it and reaching into herself. She felt her own Chakra stir at the prospect of entering another and learning the inner workings of someone's body.
Pushing her Chakra into Koan's hand she explored the bones. First the distal phalanges, they looked good no splintering or anything. Then she looked at the middle phalanges those were all intact too. Coming up to the proximal phalanges she found that there was a hairline fracture to her middle and ring fingers. Moving on to the metacarpals and the carpals she found no injury. On the skin she noted several deep gouges and scrapes. The arteries, veins, and capillaries all looked to be intact and there was no sign of infection at this point. The whole process would take about five minutes to finish up but she was satisfied at her findings. Sighing deeply she pulled back her Chakra from her task and looked at her friend. "Well the good news is that there isn't any broken bones or blood vessels but I will still want to heal you since the exterior damage is pretty nasty and there are two hairline fractures in the long bones on your middle and right fingers. Don't worry though, it won't hurt or take very long." she said before she began to focus the same Citrine Chakra that had been pushed into Koan to combine into a little ball in her hand. With one fluid motion she placed the ball onto the top of her friend's hand and watched as the skin knitted back together and she felt pretty confident that the small fractures were well on their way to being a thing of the past. That done she turned and looked at the man who had been talking to Koan before she had arrived. "I don't think we have ever been properly introduced but my name is Cambria and don't you think it's a little presumptuous to call me your friend before you even know who I am?' she asked incredulously before noticing the rather inept stick figure drawing he had carved into the table's surface. A rather unladylike snort found its way to her lips as she looked at it. Her only guess was that he was going for a likeness of the three of them as "friends". It was an idea that she found confusing, he didn't know her or anything about her. How could he call her his friend? She pondered the possibilities as she looked at him with her brows raised expectantly before a real laugh bubbled its way up. The sound was musical and light, it had been so long since she really relaxed that she was unsure about how to react to his open invitation of friendship.

Jurei continued to sit as he let his chakra fluctuate a bit. He held the sign of the snake and allowed his chakra to fill the room.
He began to sign as his chakra filled every inch of the room, focusing on tiny memories of his childhood. Some things it seemed he had totally lost to the sands of time.
As he meditated he recalled a story his father once told him when he himself was a member of Konoha. During his chuunin exam he fought the hardest opponent he ever faced, a man named Sanshi.
He continued to focus as he recalled the information about this Sanshi person. He remembered his father mentioning he was a user of the famous Iron sand technique and from Sunagakure. Perhaps he should continue his training and venture there himself? He was curious to see this famous opponent of his fathers. He opened his eyes as he felt his power rising yet again.
