Liam slapped his arm away "I don't care!" He snapped "I don't care if this takes months or years! I will save her!" He was shaking as he spoke "the....the elders will take care of any war issues...they can handle themselves..." He was stuttering as he tried to think of a viable excuse.

"But if you give them too much power, they will forget who is in charge. You have to establish your position. Trust me, even Hector will understand. Take your time. It's not like she's going to die in five minutes." Lance told him.

((You know, part of me feels bad for Luna. >.< ))

As much as he hated to admit it he was right. Without another word he walked out of the room, he didn't want to just leave Hector but he had no other choice.

Lance went back and sat down in the chair that he was previously in. "Well... at this rate, I'm going to have to give him the crash course through the basic politics of ruling a nation." He grumbled. "You know what? I'm tired. I'm going to take a nap. Have fun John." Lance said, patting him on the shoulder before turning to leave the room.

"Do you really think it's ok to just leave Hector here?" John asked him as he walked down the hall.

"Oh, good point. My beautiful and pure Hector is weak and defenseless. How about... you take her back to her room on the ship. Just leave a note for Liam." Lance said.

"And the darkness lashing out..."

"Well, it only did that when I tried to wake her up. I mean, it didn't do anything when her corset or whatever was loosened. I'm sure it will be fine."

"Ok..." John trailed off hesitantly. Lance turned and left while John wrote Liam a note and carried her back to the flag ship.

Liam paced back to his room slowly, there was too much on his mind and he didn't know how to deal with it. He entered his room and sighed, more then ever he wanted to be somewhere else.

Luna slowly woke up and saw Liam entering the room again. She yawned and slowly looked at him. "Are you alright?" She asked in a slight daze. "It's morning, but you look exhausted."

Liam turned to the girl "yeah, I'm fine...just a lot is on my mind..." He walked over to the bed and took a seat, hanging his head on his palms.

"Really? This early. I never knew that being a king would be so stressful. Anything I can do to help?" She asked, looking at him worried.

Liam turned and had a smile on his face "thanks but I'll be fine" he said, he lay down on the bed beside her "I think I just need some more rest..."

"Alright then." She replied, curling up beside him like a cat to give him comfort.

Liam put his arm around her and pulled her close, he still enjoyed having her close. He closed his eyes, his mind slowly drifting away.
