Kiri chuckled, moving to sit beside him on the couch. She slipped an arm around his waist. "It's not like we needed it for anything while you were here. I'm just sorry we couldn't give you the bed. But dad exploded weapons and stuff all over the room. I have no idea what he was trying to do. Breakfast out sounds good though."

Nowe didn't need to hear anymore, getting to his feet and pulling her up with him. "Alright then we'll go right now. Anything you want, just name it." He was, for whatever reason, in a good mood. Perhaps he felt guilty over his cursemark, or maybe he was just happy to have a moment of peace with someone so important to him.

"I feel like a sweet onigiri. One with peach centers or maybe cherry." Kiri mused thoughtfully as she let Nowe pull her up. She led him out of the house, her fingers laced together with his. "What do you think? Anything you want?"

"Yeah, you happy." Nowe said, a pleasent smile on his face. "For as long as this break lasts, I'm going to make sure you enjoy yourself." he said, and then quickly put a hand over her mouth, "And no arguing. If you love me then you'll let me do this for you."

Kiri opened her mouth to protest but Nowe knew her too well. She blinked in surprise to find his hand over her mouth. She sighed then smiled and nodded, tugging his hand off. "Alright fine. But the first step in that is letting me breath." She told him teasingly.

Nowe didn't reply with a smartass remark. He simply smiled and enjoyed their little walk together. When they got to their destination, he ordered what she had requested as well as soemthing for himself. Taking a bite, he watched her, waiting to see her happy expression from her food.

Kiri grinned as her food arrived. She bit into it, making a sound of happiness at the sweet filling. "Mm, damn those are good." She muttered around a mouthful of onigiri. "Thank you Nowe." She swallowed and beamed at him happily.

Nowe smiled, "Your welcome. And maybe later today we can-" he stopped though as a bird landed on his shoulder, a letter attached to it. He pulled off the letter, and the bird flew away. He opened the seal and began to read it's comments. His smile began to fade away, and he glanced cautiously up at Kiri. "Well...I'll be running a quick recovery mission later...no big deal." He said reassuringly.

Nowe watched Kiri for a while, debating on wether or not to tell her. Doing so would only..complicate things. But, this wasn't exactly something you kept a secret. With a sigh, he reopened the letter. "I am to hunt down and retrieve a item, being transported by Senro Nezumi of the grass to one of Seito's small fries..."
