Though the boy's attempts at altering the present have done some damage to the droid, the paradox of the attempt is equivalent to dividing by zero, and ends up causing severe mental anguish for the boy.

The droid is stuck to the spear, so it has no choice but to sit on top of it and spin while extending its arms out while grasping its sabers.
