Raskal sat on the beach and sighed silently. He didn't know what to do about this girl who had chased him through town and made him promise to take her along with him on his journey. Lilly needed his help, that was obvious. Without him she would have no hope right now about finding her parents. She had potential as a trainer too, and Raskal knew that her skills would come in handy whenever trouble came their way.
On the other hand though she was provng to be a distraction that Raskal couldn't afford to have. He had never let his mind wander to the thoughts most people had about the opposite sex. Too many times did he have to put Team Rocket ahead of such things. Raskal's mind swirled around in circles and he flopped backwards on the swand and stared at the clouds, trying to put Lilly out of his mind.

Curio allowed Silver to lead him through the forrest without much else hindering their progress. He was impressed with how easily the brash young trainer dispatched the wilds of the Viridian Forrest without much regard for the pokemon he assaulted. It wasn't that Curio didn't care about the well being of pokemon, rather, he simply didn't have the patience for anything that decided to get in his way. So the eccentric Curio was more than happy to allow Silver to do all of the work for him.
"It seems as though we've reached the end of our journey." Curio stated as the pair walked through the final few feet of thck brush and tightly compacted trees. The path opened up once again to low grass and a nicely paved road. viridian City loomed just ahead of the pair, standing silent against the dark forrest's edge.

Lilly quickly changed into another pair of cloths. She wrung out her wet cloths and put them in a bag. "I'll have to wash these later." she muttered to herself. She took out Missy's pokeball, tossing in the air, "Come on girl, lets go, we need to catch the ship to Cinnabar."
Missy jumped on Lilly's shoulder, "Yeah! another ship ride!" Missy paused for a second, "Lilly, what about money?" she whispered.
Lilly sighed, "We have enough for now... we'll deal with that problem later. I've been using my friends too much already." she said as she walked back to the shore to meet up with Jace.
She spotted him laying in the sand and walked up to him. "Should we get going?" she paused for a second, "I think we should wait for Czar first. He's probably still talking to Articuno." she sat on the sand next to Jace, wrapping her arms around her knees and placing her chin in between them.

"Have you talked to him yet about what we're doing?" Raskal asked Lilly from beside her, still soaking up the rays of the warm sun as he layed on the sand.

(( wait I thought it was already dark...))
"Nope, I haven't, I left him to talk to Articuno himself. I would have helped, but Articuno is his so, I decided to let him do what he wants. I just hope he lets Articuno free..." her words tariled a off as she thought of how beautiful Articuno was. "Wasn't Articuno beautiful?" she muttered to no one in particular.
"She sure was!" Missy commented.

((The articuno fight and exeggutor attack happened at night. It's the next day already.))
Raskal rolled over and propped his head up on his left hand so he could better see the girl. "I wasn't talking about that." He said flatly. "I mean did you talk to him about you and me and what we're doing about the book and your parents."

"Oh..." her voice trailed off again at mention of her parents. She always thought of her parents but it usually made her a bit immotional, either in tears or anger. Her eyes got a bit watery. "No..." she whispered with a slight crackle in her voice. She wipped her eyes with her sleve. Turning her head away from Jace.

Raskal sat up and put his arm around Lilly's shoulders, pulling her close. He didn't say anything. He didn't have to. For the moment he was just content to sit next to her and let the girl go through whatever emotions she needed too, being as much of a support as he could. The time for words would come later.

Lilly felt Jace pulling her close to him. She turned her head glancing at him for a second and turned her head away, blushing a bit. "Thanks..." she muttered. She felt a sudden tingly feeling in her tummy.
Missy licked Lilly's cheek, comfortingly. She looked at Jace for a second then curled up in a ball next to Lilly's feet.

Suddenly Raskal felt incredibly guilty. Here he was, cradling a girl who seemed to trust him completely and he wouldn't return the favor. He found himselfunable to keep up the lie any longer and was compelled to tel her the truth.
"Lilly?" He whispered, finally breaking the comfortable silence.

Lilly looked up at him, "Yeah... Jace." her cheeks were still a little pink. It felt nice to have some one to comfort her.

He didn't know how she would react, but Raskal decided that it would be better to get this off of his chest before they went any further. "Look," he said. "My name isn't Jace. That was the name of the man who saved my life when I left Team Rocket." He let out a sigh, thinking back to that day.
"I didn't think I could put my trust in you at first, so I wasn't completely honest. My real name is Raskal."

Lilly stared at him for a few seconds, soaking in what he had just said. Some how she wasn't surprised he had kept his actually name from her, "I can't say that I know how it feels to be in team rocket but, I do know how hard it is to trust someone." she leaned her head against his shoulder. "But I'm happy you told me when you were comfortable enough to...Ja-, I mean Raskal" she laughed a bit, "I think it will take a little while for me to get used to calling you by your real name... Unless you feel more comfortable with me calling you Jace, to keep your identity a secret from others."
Now she had several other questions to ask but decided to ask him one at a time, she looked at him again, "What happened to the man who saved you?" she paused for a second, "If you don't want to talk about it, I respect that..."
Missy's ears pricked up as she listened to their conversation.

{(._,,+,,_,)} "so do you want me to go to the viridian gym on my own?" asked silver asked now more excited then ever ((I have a plan for my character but it involves traveling to johto. could I do that in this thread or should I make a johto thread of this))

((No you can keep that in here.)) "For now yes," Curio replied. "I have business elsewhere for the moment but I have a feeling that we will see each other again very soon." He swept the feather pulmed hat from his head and bowed low. "The best of luck to you my friend."
With that he straightened and spun on his heels, heading off into the center of town. His black trimmed boots clicked loudly on the stone path as he walked.
