the main characters friend or relative that gets taken over, and for most of the game looks like the primary antagonist. at the end of the game though, your leader breaks their hold on you and you end up being an assistant character in the final battle

A cute character in a mini game that you have to play as-you catch bats for points. The more points, the better the prize! And the prizes would be rare weapons and items.

You are the guardian of an ancient temple to a moon goddess... Though it has long been abandoned, you remain there, resting until you are needed. When the party arrives to retrieve an artifact as part of their grand quest, you believe them to be grave robbers and attack before they have a chance to explain (plus you're kind of right), and so a boss fight ensues. You're really bitter about losing, but grudgingly accept that their motives are good when they tell you the situation, and for the sake of the world, you allow them to take the item (although you've already been beaten, so it's kind of a moot point).

The graceful princess of the eastern kingdom. You're not the hero's love interest, but rather the future bride of the world-spanning empire's emperor. Hoping to avoid a devestating war, your kingdom took the easy way out and engaged you to the emperor. Your future husband disgusts you, but you're willing to go through with it for your kingdom and family. We won't see you much during the game, and you're not financing rebellions or planning a coup, but you'll have an important part to play in the end, when you create the opportunity the hero needs to defeat the big bad.

An undead warrior who is summoned to help fight alongside the heroes. You were a champion from the past who now serves to help other fight evil.

You're the idiotic, pompous prince of a prosperous nation the party is visiting. The party saves your life, but due to a misunderstanding and your unwillingness to listen to what anyone else is saying, you throw them in prison without trial, then send soldiers after them when they escape. After the Big Bad kidnaps you and holds you hostage, you finally realize who the good guys are and beg for their help. They only give it very grudgingly, and they remain pissed at you for the remainder of the game.

You are the brand new summon added to the game series that has the best action sequence. You are one of the last, best ones obtained in the game. Your power forces an incredible amount of status ailments and deals high earth damage.  

[Char-Broiled Toboggans]

You seem like a type of PC that you'd meet early on in the game and would have no relevence at that particular point but to help with a mini-quest, causing you to leave afterward. But later on, the resources you have are direly needed, but you somehow end up blind-sided and get captured, causing the hero team to go off after them to rescue you. Although, you secretly broke free of the imprisonment, taking out the people gaurding you as you rush to find the hero team. The group and you would find each other in two ways, either by them side-trecking in the lair to find you, or by taking out the boss, but by doing the latter, would be at a big disadvantage because the abilities you wield contain the boss's weakness.

You are a benign spirit who wanders the royal garden of the ruling family. The young princess is the only one who can see you. She is set on helping the party on their quest and offers them a chance to speak to you. You give them advice on where they should go and what they should do next.

You seem like a prince of a large kingdom. A rival kingdom has just taken over several others and is soon to attack yours. You've sent out several operatives to find out details about said attack, but none have returned. In your desperateness, you release a team of captives held in your prisons to find info about the rival's armada. Expecting not to see them come back, you're shocked when they reappear though the doors, with info about the armada, as well as thier strategy. You are impressed by their abilities and decide to add them to your own armada for the battle that's soon to ensue.
