Shechina turned to glare at the Fire mage. "Because you're the reason I passed out earlier, you lunkhead! I'm not experienced enough with my powers to shield myself from others' pain, and you were stubborn enough to get close to me while you were badly wounded!"

His first impulse was to snap back at her angrily enough on how was he suppose to know that she was a Spirit Mage. But he resisted the impulse for an immediate retort, the smile fading from his face only to be replaced with a somber apologetic gesture. "For that I am sorry. I did not mean to harm you so much. I should have suspect you were a Spirit Mage. Had I been more polite and mild-mannered, you wouldn't have suffered on my account." His normally teasing and flirtatious tone was completely forgone in favor of a calm serious aspect, his eyes glowing with a form of self-rebuke and remorse (somewhat) for his actions. "Believe me, it brings me no pleasure to harm a woman as fine as yourself Miss-?" His tone returned back to its normal persuasion after a few tense moments of pensive reflection, the Fire Mage not wishing to leave the atmosphere as a grim and quiet one.

Leigh Ann winced at the sight of the damage she'd caused when she saw it, but calmed when Rand turned flirtatious again. When the Huntress showed herself Leigh Ann jumped at the combination of her own and the Spirit Guardian's surprise. "Who's the Huntress?" She asked finally, looking confused. Having not grown up around others or having ever gone to a school she was left with no knowledge of the world's myths and legends and history. This was all new to her.

"Spyradoula. Shechina Spyradoula," Shechina said, back to the calm that was her norm after the Fire mage's apology. She said nothing in reply to Leigh Ann's question. It was a bit of a surprise to see someone who didn't know of the Huntress, but, since the woman herself was in the room, she felt it best to let the Huntress answer the question.

Valiant finally looks up from his sword, seeming to have followed the last of the conversation. Turning to each guardian, he examined one closely. Then, he turned to Leigh Ann. "She is a mystical being. Apparently, she isn't liked much by humans... They believe so many rumors... tsk." He scrunched his nose and went to sit down somewhere, holding his stomach. He was hungry. "I want meat."

((Nice new avi Tayuya.))
Rand turned his head at the entrance of the newcomer, his eyes narrowing at his appearance before he motioned towards the stairs. "Hey stranger. I haven't bought dinner yet so care to join me after we're all done getting acquainted?" He hadn't been sure he could trust Valiant, but the moment he said he wanted meat that made him more than welcome in the Fire Guardian's book. Turning back to Shechina and Leigh-Ann he explained what little he knew of the Huntress's myths. "The Huntress is supposed to be an ancient being, an immortal who predates the days of the Guardians. She survived the War of Light and Shadow, and no one really knew whether she really existed or not...Until now it seems. Some say that she is really a Goddess, an Absolute Being who was greater than all of the Guardians combined..." The wounded man finished speaking his piece of the legend, strongly suspecting that he had not begun to cover half of the truth pertaining to the mysterious silver-haired maiden that had drawn them together inside his room. "But apart from that...Little Earth Mage! I don't know your name still nor do I know the newcomer's. So how about the both of you introduce yourselves? I'll start; I'm Randuin, but I prefer to be called Rand."

Val narrowed his eyes. Newcomer? "Um... two things. One, I met The Huntress before you, and I came in with her, so your the newcomer. Second, rumers are uncouth. Stop believing every one you hear and let her explain what she is." He held his sword, having never put it away, in an at-ease pose, not really wanting to fight anyone. He was grumpy though, he was hungry. He didn't believe in goddesses or gods. If their was a higher power, then it was just that, a power. No one was immortal.

Pinching the bridge of his nose Rand mentally re-evaluated his opinion of Val. Resisting the urge to respond angrily, the Fire Mage calmly replied back to the earlier statements. "Hurray for you. You met the Huntress first. That doesn't change the fact you were the last one to speak or show up to my inn room so as far as I'm concerned, you are the newcomer. And all I did was repeat the positive rumors. It's not like I called her a monster or anything. Stop being so defensive." He sighed to himself even as he draped his cloak around his shoulders, checking his bandages to make sure they were tight enough to not loosen later on. Actually, if this really is the Huntress...What does she want with us?"

Valiant rolled his eyes. He wasn't going to debate with the guy. The Huntress has been dragging him along from the beginning. on top of that, any rumor had the potential of being bad. The Huntress had told him people feared her. How did one live with that? He ignored it as it would only make him worry about her. It was her job to worry about them and he would talk to her about it later...

Kota and his group settled down outside of town. The group set up for the night. "Oi Kota! Show us what you've been practicing!" A man chimed up as the group cheered.Kota laughed. "Ok ok...." He said standing up. "I figured out this little thing. It's mainly for show though." He said as he started spinning rapidly. When he stopped two long white/green wisps of wind swirled around him. His group cheered as Kota laughed. He did a hand stand and begun spinning on his hands now showing off for his friends.

((Thanks, Zerix!))
Avani had been so intent on listening to what the willow was saying that she didn't realize the sun was starting to set until she heard laughter and cheers coming from nearby down the road. She headed toward the sounds and came upon a group of men in a clearing near the town. She watched from behind a tree while one man in the group did tricks. It looked like he was a Wind mage.

"I'm Leigh Ann," The Earth guardian said in response. "Sorry about your side. I didn't mean for the attack to be so powerful." She said the last bit while looking at the Huntress, unable to help thinking about the rumors she'd just heard. "Do we... just call you Huntress or do you have a name?"

“The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”"I've only ever been called Huntress.", the pale woman responds. She looks around at the young Guardians, not feeling terribly impressed with what she had to work with. "I would normally keep my distance to guide and train you, but circumstances have forced me to do otherwise." “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...” -'Moonlight Sadow', Mike Oldfield

Rand turned towards the Huntress with yet another question forming from his mind, his gaze leveled on her silver hair silently complimenting it. "Train us? What do you mean by that? What are we supposed to be? What is our role?" The Fire Mage turned back towards Leigh-Ann to nod quietly, replying to her apology from earlier. "It's already Leigh. I prefer to think of my injuries as love taps. I got them from a very pretty Earth Mage so they're just mementos of our encounter. I only hope to not add quite so many of them next time you and I get the chance to spar without harming Shechina or the Huntress of course."

Valiant thought. "We are Guardians. As the name implies, we guard. She is to watch over us as we train our powers. Isn't that right, Huntress?" He sat up straight now, blade across his lap, ready to do as she says. No matter who she was or what anyone said, he could feel that she was a good person, and he trusted her based on that feeling alone.
