Calder flushed as Barth took his hand, and turning it, slowly moved to tear the charm from it's foil. Slowly it glowed to life, and then he pressed it upon his skin. A steady beating of his heart picked it's tempo, and while Barth was pressing the charm to his prickling skin, Calder watched the demon. With care and skill, the mark was applied, and Calder looked it over. "It's perfect." He said, very impressed.
Now it was his turn, and taking Barth's hand, he undid the foil, and then waited for it to appear. Slowly, he pressed the charm to the boil's skin, smiling up at the boil a moment, and then pulled it to reveal a perf-..
.........
...."Where is it?" Calder asked, looking at the boil's still barren forearm. Confused, Calder waited, then checked the foil ....that still had the charm on it. It had never left it's foil.
He tried again, pressing a bit hard to get the charm to stick and waited even longer, nearly cutting off Barth's circulation in the process, before pulling it free.
Still nothing.
He...He couldn't even put a protection charm on his boilfriend. It was so simple! Barth did it PERFECTLY!
Frowning, Calder's eyes went wide. "I...I suck." Groaning, he dropped his head on the table. He was the worst boilfriend EVER!!!

A white ear twitched in response to her name, resulting in Levi turning her head to see the snake with the sweet face that reminded her of her kin. Aye, Biskoto! Smiling brightly, she shifted to make space, chuckling to the nuzzling. In return, she stroked Bis under her chin affectionately like she would have a tatzel scarling. The serpent directed her attention to the boil- Thanatos.
Can't say we dun been introduced. Name's Levi, Thanatos. Pleasure ta'meet'cha. Had class together 'before but haven't seen ya'round much. Been 'ere long? At the school, she meant; Levi made sure not to cramp Than between her and Hel, looking just a tad surprised that the boil would choose to sit here of all places. Clearly, he didn't know either of them very well. Right special critter ya'got 'ere. She shook the reaper's hand with a firm grip before their professor decidedly appeared/began.
Protection Charms...
And Levi was working with a boil. Her internal conflicts regarding mold and various other activities associated therein were resolved by her remembering. Protection Charms meant protection. All would be fine. Go with the flow of the class. Taking a deep breath, Levi fiddled with the foiled object between her fingers before addressing Than again. Looks like we're pairin' up fer this'one. Uh... it's ma'first time.
It was her first time; if her face changed in coloration in the slightest, she quickly rubbed the back of her hand across her cheeks to make them even redder. It was from the force of her hand. Yep. All of it.
Levi knew what these did. Somehow her gaze shifted toward something pink and horned. It was just for a split second and thoughts of the haunted house and mold suddenly came to mind. Protection, ghoul. These are protection. She returned to smile at Than rather abruptly like nothing had just happened in her head. Nope nope not a thing.

Oh Levi, Thanatos could see right through your smile.
"My turn," He hummed with a small grin, proceeding to take the ghoul's hand and gently applying the protection charm on the back of it, seeing how it was his turn, "Let's see- Ah." He paused, looking up at Levi before letting her hand go; the runes from the protection charm glowed, but it wasn't as prominent as the one Levi had applied for him, "It would appear that I didn't do a very good job of applying this charm, but it's working."
Biskoto might had mentally face palmed.
"Although we seem to have a new task at hand," He looked around at the small... Creatures running around the class with a raised eyebrow.

He had done it again. The look that crossed his face showed exactly how he felt before he could even try to cover it up. He had tried to be careful, had tried to give Alexander a bit of a warning and had tried above all to be gentle, to not press on the zomboil's stitches or accidentally scratching him with his claws. And they were bonded. Alexander had to know that he would never intentionally harm him. He knew it had to be a sensitive area, but he had let Yin touch him there before. So when Alexander jerked away it could not be from fear. He was moving away from Yin.
Yin had cringed back on his own, but when Alexander started apologizing for something that was obviously Yin's fault his hands tightened into fists, claws biting into the flesh of his palms and a warm trickle of blood beginning to leak down his hands to his wrists so he forced them down, hoping to hide them under the table. "I-I will not d-do it again," he stammered as he tried to act like he was not completely tore up over what he had just done to the zomboil. Never touching Alexander's neck again. Ever. He should have known, he should have taken the time to get to know all of this long before now. He was failing at being Alexander's bonded.
Alexander's hand was on his arm and the charm being pressed to his skin and he just sat there, accepting it. He watched the process, trying to feign interest and also have an excuse to not look up at the zomboil. "I am sure that you did a better job than I," he pointed out, trying to avoid stating the obvious. One of them had caused the other to jerk back, and it certainly was not Alexander. "I suppose you had best to tell Nurse Cricket now..."
Then the pen in the center of the class exploded. Thank the Great Mantis, there was something to do. Catch one and prove he was not completely useless? That was a mission he was willing to take. He may have scooted his chair back rather quickly as he went to chase down his new prey, hand finally darting out to pluck one off the ground as it tried to scamper past. And now? Now the awkward return back to his seat, because he had no idea what to say when he returned. Maybe if he just walked like Alexander he could give himself enough time to think of something? Even trying to slow himself down he reached the table far to soon. Perhaps he should just pretend to be preoccupied with the creature trying to escape his grasp? Yeah, that sounded like a plan.
