Team STARS AND RAINBOWS - Sheridan and Petro
Sheridan almost grimaced as he watched Petro, wondering if he should try to help or at least offer some encouragement. He thought of doing so several times, but in the end decided it would only hurt Tro's pride. So he was left watching, or maybe he was trying not to watch, wandering around after other bugs, maybe if he caught more it would help, but no, if he did that he'd only lose the ones he had in his already full net.
He had wandered back toward Petro as the cauldron seemed to almost overflow. Whoa. A grin at his friend.
"What was impressive."
Okay, so now that they had the base and the bugs, he supposed it was time to combine them. Okay then, should he just drop the bugs in? Hmm, maybe one at a time.
Joining Tro at the cauldron, he took one of the spoons, then reached into his net to pull out one of the bugs (that pesky grasshopper could go first), dropped it in, then stirred. Another bug, stirring, bug, stirring, and so on, until he had dropped in the last bug (a colorful butterfly). Hey, that seemed to work well, or at least he thought it did.

TEAM UNDEAD HORSE: Mei & Leo!
"Right, I can do that!" She'd rather been hoping to make the base, but perhaps it was best she did the part she at least had a bit of experience in. Even if it was old, years-ago experience. But for Team Undead Horse she'd do anything, booyeah! Properly psyched up, she sent Mei one last happy grin before making her way over to the nets and then outside to catch the bugs. "Good luck to you, comrade awesome!"
Outside, she watched the other students attempting to catch bugs with a bit of apprehension. She'd said she could do this, but could she really? Well... there wasn't anything for it but to try. Dawdling wouldn't do any good at all. Not too far away she spotted a grasshopper, suitably sitting in the grass and with footsteps as quiet and unobtrusive as she could make them, Leo snuck closer. Closer, closer... almost there! The innocent little grasshopper was still sitting on its blade of grass, almost too easy to catch, she thought. Oh well. It was for a good cause! She sprung forward, slamming her bugnet down over the area the grasshopper was in. So easy it was almost a crime! Buoyed by her good hunting, it took nearly a minute to realise that the bug was not in the net. Oh crappers. But she'd been so sure!

Yep, she'd been right. She'd gotten too confident, hadn't even noticed the hole in her net, and there went the pretty butterfly and one of the beetles. Drat. She stomped a foot, frustrated that things were going so well and then not so well at all. Really, world, really? Couldn't she just have been allowed to be good at this thing, catch her bugs quickly and actually do well in a class for once? Ugh, fine. Vaguely aware that she was acting like a petulant child, Leo made a quick knot of the hole in the net, hoping that'd keep more bugs from escaping. And hoping she could actually catch more bugs.
